Day 39-40: Poisoned Cultivator
You needed to cultivate the following day. It was urgent, as you didn't want your cultivation to fritter away. However, with your cultivation gunk still muddying up the stench within your lair, you find yourself forced to cultivate outside.

Thus, you gather the Qi of heaven and earth in full view of your predator.

It seems to take your meditation as weakness and decides to attack.

You find yourself hard pressed to defend against its predatorial jaws. Even with your cultivation, a predator as big as a ladybug is still a difficult enemy to fight when you're not prepared for it. However, you manage to survive its attacks until it loses interest thanks to your vastly superior cultivation.

If you were a regular ant, you would be dead by now. In fact, if the ladybug were a bit larger, it could simply swallow you whole. Cultivation or not, being swallowed whole by a superior predator is an instant death sentence.

Ladybug attacks:
Rolled an 18 -6 Battle Power
Ladybug dealt 12 damage

Initial 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 26/60 > 32/60
You are Wounded and will consume .1 more food per turn. You have 48/60 will recover 6 HP per turn REGARDLESS of your hunger level..
Part of your shelter has collapsed, letting in the elements. You will consume .1 more food.
You have consumed 1.2 more food, bringing your total to 3.3 food.
You have 1 Fungus Farm which will produce 1 food in 3 turns

Having experienced the full wrath of a predator unaware, you resolve to not be caught with your figurative pants down again and make plans for an attack.

Immediately, you activate Beetle Charge. You feel the vitality drain from you as your legs are pumped with Qi.

Rolled a 15+6 Battle Power=21
Ladybug Damage: 0/50 > 21/50
Roll is beyond Ladybug's ability to retaliate
Used Beetle Charge
Rolled a 2+6 Battle Power= 8
Ladybug Damage: 21/50 > 29/50

As you use Beetle Charge and pelt the Ladybug with attacks, the Poison Qi coursing through your meridians exits your body and enters the Ladybug's.

Normally, such an infusion of Poisoned Qi from a cultivator to a non-cultivator would be deadly.

However as you fight, the ladybug senses that your power is much greater than a regular ant's and it absconds. After gaining enough distance that you can't follow it even with your movement technique, it must have cultivated the Poison Qi you injected into its body and broken through.

The Ladybug has turned from a non-cultivator to a Cultivator. However, relying on poisoned Qi from a superior cultivator in order to cultivate is a cursed path...

The Ladybug will produce less food upon defeat. Qi rewards from the Cultivating Ladybug will cause you to accrue Poison Qi
The Poison Qi has been purged from your body

You are Wounded and will consume .1 more food per turn. You have 54/60 will recover 6 HP per turn REGARDLESS of your hunger level..
Part of your shelter has collapsed, letting in the elements. You will consume .1 more food.
You have consumed 1.2 more food, bringing your total to 2.1 food.
You have 1 Fungus Farm which will produce 1 food in 2 turns
You have gone 1 day without churning your Qi. If you go 4 days without churning your Qi, it will disperse and set you back to the Initial 1st Realm of Qi Gathering

Select 3 actions to be taken over the next 3 turns

[] Try to salvage food from the ruined colony (1/10)
[] Get rid of the Ladybug (29/50)
[] Clear away the Ladybug's scent (0/?)
[] Try to expand your meager shelter (10/40)(You cannot expand your lair until you fix the collapsed area)

[]Seek out Qi Vein (0/???)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance just outside your lair (0/??)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance far from your lair (0/??)(Medium chance of encountering ??? Level predator. Predator encountered will fight to the death)

[X] Day 41: Get rid of the Ladybug (29/50)
-[X] Beetle Charge

I'm not doing a multi day plan because it's important to get the ladybug dead, but one attack and beetle charge should do it.

[X] Day 41: Get rid of the Ladybug (29/50)

Next turn if we win, we really need to either remove the gunk or fix our home

It's rather unfortunate that we'll get less food, but some kind of Poison-Qi themed cultivation technique was something we wanted for the future, and might make up for it!

This quest's motto should be "Interrupted by bad event".
RNGESUS, why do you hate our poor little ant so much?

We're definitely getting an authentic cultivator experience of the universe being upset by our hubris and trying to kill us.

Yeah, but we are so low level right now, we are figuratively and literally an ant before the heavens, and they have better things to smite, like those uppity Nascent Soul level cultivators with their ability to survive as just a soul after their bodies die

[X] Day 41: Get rid of the Ladybug (29/50)
-[X] Beetle Charge

Note to self: remember to daymark beetle charges in multi day plans otherwise the tally gets messed up

Clearly we were at Nascent Soul or above on a past life, and Heaven is becoming increasingly exasperated by our sheer persistence.

[X] Day 41: Get rid of the Ladybug (29/50)

I'm choosing to interpret this newest event as Heaven's blessing on my Gu plan
