Huh! Only ten progress to clear the gunk and deposit it near our lair! Well, that's over with anyway.

So I like the basic idea of Plan Farm Life, but if we forage on Day 48, it sets us up perfectly for the next three days, as we don't have the uncertainty issue which comes with putting a forage in a three-day plan and worrying whether we will roll too low and starve. And we will need to forage sometime around Day 48-49, because after our farm produces on Day 47, it's five days until the farm produces again on Day 52.

Foraging on Day 48 in this plan rather than Day 49 in the next one means we deal with the uncertainty; either we're all set up for the next plan and don't need to forage again, or we know for sure we'll need another forage action and have hopefully lowered the chance of failure. Right now if we get a 6 or under we don't get enough food, which is a thirty percent chance of starving if we have one forage action in our plan for Days 49-51. Actually a bit worse, since we'll be at a -3 hunger penalty on Day 49.

Day 46-48: An Aphid Egg
You work on your farm, finally tired of the rat race that was trying to keep up with feeding yourself. Despite not using any qi, it seems that your body remembers the work it did as a normal worker ant and you make significant progress.

You make so much progress, in fact, that you find the time to pamper yourself a little and take a break. You were lucky that you did, since while wandering around the general vicinity of your nest, you manage to find an Aphid Egg.

The thing won't hatch unless you actively incubate it, but it should be viable for at least a couple of days if you don't.

Aphids are a miracle of ant farming, and it's a wonder that ants managed to breed them the way they did without any awareness of Qi.

Aphids consume 1 food per day and turn it into 1.1 Aphid Dew. Aphid Dew acts like food, except Aphids can't eat it. Your ant will eat Aphid Dew instead of regular food when it's available. However, Aphids will immediately die if not fed. Additionally, Aphids don't take up any inventory space.

Just to clarify, how often does the Aphid need to be fed? Is it every day?
 
There's no way we'll be able to keep the aphid alive in the long term. It would take 50 food for it to make the 5 food the egg will give us. I'd recommend expanding our farm.
 
If we take the worm as food and feed it to the aphid that will be 5.5 dew, and we have the fungal farming procing before that expires. So incubate the egg, earthworm as food, do QI and work on fungal farm?
