Fall Season-First Day
Location
England
The leaves leisurely descended, each bearing their unique Fall attire. One flutters and lands on your feet, and you pick it up. It's a bright red, almost pink, like it was trying to be a Sakura petal and just failed. Still, it's memorable. And it serves as a prop for a useful life lesson.

You stand by the gate, looking on at the school. A massive clock stands above the gate. It reads 5 minutes to 8. You close your eyes and start counting.

"5, 4. Here they come." You step to the side, just as the sound of a stampede comes around the corner.

"I'm late, I'm late!" A small herd of students in school uniform shout in unison, each with a piece of toast in their mouth. The stampede rushes past you, barely bothering a hair on your brow, but you sweep it aside anyway.

"3, 2, 1, here they fall." You say as you adjust your bag. Suddenly there are several crashes in front of you.

Several variations of, "Hey watch where you're going, Baka!" come from the ground, but you ignore the sprawled pairs of meet cutes. Nothing will keep you from your destination. You pass the words on the top of the door, bearing the name and motto of this school.

Anime Academy.
Be the Protagonist you want to see in the world.

You switch your shoes at the school locker, glad that you had missed the early morning Love Letter rush, where the entrance is flooded by all the love letters pouring out of the current Waifu of the week's locker at once. Still, you needed to pick up the pace. There was only a certain acceptable amount of tardiness you could get away with on your first day.

You headed to your assigned home room (2-A, naturally) and kept your head down as two groups of delinquent surrounded a nerdy kid (the glasses helpfully identified him) arguing with each other.

"Get out of here. We're gonna stuff him in a locker Quabara."

"No, we're gonna put his head in the toilet. You can shove off Ryoji."

"You want him, you're gonna have to fight for him cone hair!" the delinquents all took out baseball clubs, while the nerd almost started bawling.

Is that what being popular is like? You wondered, before entering your class from the front.

It was like being thrown into a rainbow headfirst. Almost every shade of colour was present in the hair of your classmates, with increasingly absurd styles. You couldn't see a single natural hair colour in the class.

Well, you put your hand through your black hair. Besides me. But whose looking at me?

"Alright our last student has arrived." The teacher noted. "Since you're already up, why not give us an introduction."

Almost in unison, every eye in class turned to look at you. Why do I ask myself stupid questions? Still this was a great way to make a memorable impression. Your hand squeezed the fall leaf in your pocket.

"My name is…"

[] Write-in

"Hello there." The teacher nodded at you. "However, since it's the start of a new year, I'd like to hear a little about you. Likes, dislikes, goals...?"

Goals? Oh you had that. You had to have it to attend this school. Anime Academy. Where you will be trained in how to be the best anime character you could be, to teach you all the tropes and skills you needed to survive in whatever setting a production company might send you into.

Of course, you wanted to do more than just end up in an anime. That would be easy. Basically getting in this school guaranteed it. But you wanted more. You weren't just going to be a supporting character. You weren't even going to be just a protagonist. No. You're gonna go for the ultimate prize an anime character can achieve.

You may not be remarkable now. You might just blend into the background in most shots. You might not know what you need to succeed, or your niche.

But just like the tree leaf, we all start green. No one remembers where you started. The only thing that sticks, is what you've made yourself at the end, when you fall off the branch.

"My goal is simple. I am…

Protagonist Report Card
Protagonist Report Card

Name: Ikashi Toryauna

Prestige Score: 1

Stats:
(All stats go from 1 to 10.)

OPness: 2
OPness is how easily your character can deal with problems, whether it's logical, physical or otherwise. The lower your stat, the more of a challenge it is to deal with problems on your own, while high stats makes your victory all but a formality. Most shows like to have somewhere in the middle, where there's always a challenge, but some shows like different extremes.
[]
. Honestly, people aren't sure how you get out of bed in the morning without a support team.

Attractiveness: 1
Attractiveness is how appealing your character model is, as well as how impressive or distinctive it is. The lower the stat, the more bland or unattractive you seem to others, while a really high stat means that you stay in people's mind-and on their merchandise *Cha-ching*! Most shows don't have the budget for a really high attractive character, but some shows love the distorted unattractive look for it's unique potential.
Uh…well, I mean, looks aren't everything right? Have you considered a career in Drama CDs?

Studious: 2
Studiousness is how much you like to learn about the world around you, absorbing and extrapolating the lore of the world around you. Yeah you might be seen as a nerd, but some settings benefit from a close examination, especially when there's so much detail in a world. However, too much Studious can lead to over exposition-or highlighting the cracks in a setting's logic that the creators would rather you weren't paying attention to.
Wow, you really don't want to know anything about the world, or the people, or the rules…ok then, sure, you can go right in there. Side note, you'd get on really well with my DnD group.

Self-Awareness: 2
Self-Awareness is mostly knowing your own place in the world, and your own capability to change. The higher self-awareness makes you aware of the established tropes for your role and your setting. However, too much self-awareness can make one cynical, as you may start breaking the 4th wall, while too little self-awareness can make you repeat tired clichés over and over, never developing. Some franchises value self-awareness, while other anime like their tropes and don't like you not giving into the story.

Wow, this must all be new to you. Look at you gazing at the world of anime with wide eyed wonder. I envy how you look at things like they're novel-although I pity you for when you're the only one surprised by the inevitable betrayal. Oops, spoiler.

List of Traits:
Gender [Boy]
]You are perceived as, and identify as a boy.

Sailor
"I hear you like...'ships'. And you like to...'ship people'. Together. You'll even get on...crack-ed ships. I hear you'll even 'go down with your ship'.
Well I don't know what you are talking about, or why those all had parenthesis around it, but it's good to have a marine minded person on board. I guess we can trust you to be in charge of nautical vessels. I'll be sure to let the anime people know of your special skill."
-Your teacher is a bit outdated. But hey, it could get you on a boat! Now how do you steer this thing...

Potential for Magical Ability
This Trait represents a suspicion that you might have untapped magical ability. Or it just could be gas. This is a Proto Trait-it can evolve into various different traits, depending on your actions.

Tutorials
Tutorial 1-Stats

All characters have the 4 stats, Opness, Attractiveness, Studious and Self-Awareness.
These traits go from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 10.

You can increase your Stats by acting proficient in these stats, which will cause the stats to adjust. If you act like you are lacking in said stats, they can decrease.

Having maximum stats is not always a good thing, and having minimum stats is not always a bad thing.

Tutorial 2-Social Links

Social Links are representations on your report sheet that show how strong a bond you are forming with your classmates. They don't have to be positive-a strong bond could be with a rival or a nemesis, as long as you are passionate about them.

The benefits to increasing the level of your social link is a) unlocking special actions your classmate can perform for you, and b) gain traits they possess through exposure.

By spending time with, and forming bonds with people whose traits you'd like to acquire, you can gain those traits. So find out the traits you want and go for them.

Starting a Social Link can be easier or more difficult depending on the individual. Sometimes, they can be won over by a gift they really appreciate.

Other times, performing a task for them can help get over that initial barrier. Others will only initiate social links with you, if you share a social link with someone else, or possess a trait they consider valuable. And occasionally, it will be a certain phrase or action that can activate a social link. It varies person to person.

The most reliable way to find out how will be to spend time with them, but maybe there are faster ways out there? You'll need to discover those by yourself.
Tutorial 3- Traits
Traits are special qualities you have that go beyond stats. Having access to Traits allows you new options in almost all situations-including when in an anime.

However, the most valuable part of a Trait, is when applying to join an Anime. Different Anime will desire different traits in their protagonists. If you have the same stats as your fellow applicant, but you have a desired trait and they don't, you will almost certainly get the role instead of them.

However, some Anime don't like certain traits. If you possess a trait they don't want their protagonist to have, then even if you have all the right stats, you're less likely to get the role than someone with the same stats but without the trait.

Of course, an undesirable trait for one anime might be a very desirable trait in another. And having one desirable trait usually outweighs having one undesirable trait.

As a Tori Tip, try and get as many traits as you can-you never know which Trait might be the deciding factor."

Fall Season-First Tutorial
[X] Ikashi Toryauna
[X]"am going to be best boy."

Your name has been listed as Ikashi Toryauna.
You have gained the Trait 'Boy'.

You feel a still tension in the air as you utter your words. Suddenly there's an outcry.

"You dare think to challenge me?" A skinny man in well maintained Chinese armour yells out, holding a spear. "I will gut you for your impudence!"

"Please," A girl with glasses so thick they could reflect artillery fire, crossed her 4 machine tentacles across her chest, while her human hands adjusted her glasses. "You are 10 years too early to even consider achieving that title."

"My grandfather entrusted me with two things-his children's card game collection, and the objective to be a Master of Collectomon." A short kid with spikey green hair with blue highlights points a finger at you. "It's time to P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-"

"The darkness within me admires your hellish pride and arrogance," A dark haired figure in a trenchcoat, with a hello kitty eyepatch over their left eye grins at you. "But just as I battle against the evil contained within my right eye, so must I fight against your evil!"

"-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-"

"Y-you think you can just waltz in here and try to say something like that, Baka!" A girl with purple twin tails curled so tight they look like drills scrunches her fists at you, blushing furiously despite the glare she's giving you. "Don't think you can act so cool, you stupid Baka!"

"-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-Purchase booster packs and other merchandise!" The short kid finally finishes.

"Alright enough!" The teacher calls out, slapping his hands together. The class quiets instantly. "Well, that was quite the introduction. Why don't you take a seat next to…"

You glance across the sea of about 20 students. You don't see a seat anywhere…

"They can sit next to me." You see a tall brown haired student, who despite being attractive, looks to be the most normal person here…well except you of course.

"Thank you Tori-san." The teacher inclines his head to you to move and you do so.

As you walk towards the brown haired student, you see them step aside, revealing a desk right next to the window. How the heck didn't you see that? More importantly, how was a seat next to the window even available in a class full of anime protagonist wannabes?

"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is…

Choose 1

[ ] Sue Torial.
[ ] Drew Torial.

"But everyone just calls me Tori." They smile warmly at you, like you were an old friend and not a new acquaintance.

"Well it's nice to meet you too Tori-san." You return the smile awkwardly, as you take your seat, just as the teacher begins to speak.

"Welcome to the Fall Semester of Anime Academy. As you all know, Anime Academy is the most prestigious institution in the field of creating popular anime characters. At this Academy you will be trained in everything you need to know to survive in whatever anime you end up in, whether it's drama, horror, shonen or gag." There is a small smattering of dismissive laughter. Clearly gag anime is not given much respect by some of the students.

"Of course, not everyone is suited to every anime. You all have different strengths and weakness, attributes that help make you unique. We will be helping you discover your abilities, and find the sort of anime and roles that suit you. Whether that be protagonist, or as an antagonist, romantic lead or a supporting role-"

"Protagonist is the only choice!" A regal looking woman with blond hair stands up, a rapier by her side. "My family is from a long line of protagonists, from Shoujo to historical dramas. Anyone who dares to try to take that from me can die as my antagonist. The rest can be satisfied being supporting roles, or if you're lucky, part of my harem!"

"I wouldn't mind being part of your reverse harem, *ahoy*." An overweight very dorky boy with glasses remarks, sniggering to himself. "Although I worry you won't be able to take your hands off me *sniff* once you have a taste."

"You can't lead the harem!" A short green haired girl holding a Tails plushie tightly insists. "You aren't even worthy of being a trash tier husbando!"

"Everyone, there's only one way to decide who leads the harem!" The short kid pulls out a deck of cards. "Now, we're gonna need 8 kinds of polyhedral dice, a 2 yard playmat, some pogs, the phone app, our credit cards…"

"Stats and Traits." Tori whispers to you.

"Huh?" You ask confused, distracted by the hullaballo going on in the class.

"When the teacher was talking about strengths, weakness and attributes, he was really talking about Stats and Traits." Tori explains. "Everyone's relevant abilities are summed up by their stats on their report card."

"Report card?" You ask, confused.

"Yes, you should have gotten one at the start. Check the link here to find it."

"Link? What are you talking about?" However, you feel something in your pocket where you put the leaf. You pull out a piece of paper with your name on it. What happened to the leaf?

"Good, now you can see your stats here. This is how the teachers have ranked your abilities." Tori points at the numbers on the page.

"All 1s? Why are they so low?" You question. "I haven't even begun class yet!"

"Exactly." Tori nods. "These stats don't represent what you're capable of, although they can serve as an indicator. They represent the ability you're perceived to have. The teachers haven't seen you display anything yet, so you're ranked 1 in all, just so they can tell the anime companies what to expect of you."

"Well, does that mean they can increase if I show what I'm capable of?" You ask. Tori smiles.

"Indeed. Showing a good performance can alter a teacher's opinion of you. Likewise, showing a bad performance in one area can reduce the score. Thankfully, your scores can't go lower than 1."

"Well I guess I can only go up from here." You shrug.

"That's the spirit Toryauna-san!" Tori puts their hands together with delight.

"You can call me Ikashi, it's fine." You say smiling.

"Alright Ikashi." Tori smiles easily, saying your name with no hesitation.

"Hey, would it be rude to ask to see your report card?" You ask.

"Well, most people won't show you their report cards, as it's kind of private, but I don't mind." Tori holds their report card out, although their hand covers up the traits section.

Stats:
Opness: 9
Attractiveness: 9
Studiousness: 9
Self-Awareness: 9

"What? All 9s!" You say in shock.

"Well, I have been at this school for a while." Tori remarks, putting the report card away. "So the teachers have seen me do a lot. I like to keep it at 9 though-I knew someone who got a 10 in Self-Awareness and things got…weird."

"Ah." You decide not to enquire further. "But, 9s in everything mean you can get in any anime you want right?"

"Not exactly." Tori notes, a strange meloncoly in their tone. "You'll see most anime don't want a protagonist whose perfect at everything. They have a range they are looking for, and the closer you are to the range, the more likely you'll be accepted."

"I see…" You wonder. "That's a lot to process."

"I think that's enough explanation for now." Tori notes. "How about I help you increase your first stat?"

"Whoa, you can do that?"

"Sure. I am kind of an OP teacher." Tori remarks smiling.

"Oh yeah," The word teacher reminded you that you were in class. "What about the lecture?" You glance around at the class to see what's happened.
Most of the class is gathered around a group of 4 all playing a game.

"My Blue Eyes War Greymon attacks your defense mode creature!" The short spikey haired kid excitedly narrates. "And because it's electric type, I'll do double damage!"

"Not so fast, you impudent child!" The regal woman from before calls out. "You've activated my trap card. Now I spend 3 mana and pay the 99 cent micro transaction fee-"

"Yahtzee!" The portly dorky one calls out loud. "Everyone takes off their top!"

"Uh, I don't think that's in the rules." The teacher's voice calls out, but you can't see where the teacher is.

"Quiet Sensei." The green haired girl with the plushie states. "You landed on the snake, so you've got to spend 7 minutes in Jumanjii. So says the King!" She holds up the straw marked with the number 1.

"So says the King!" Everyone announces at once.

You stare at the insanity for far too long, before turning back to Tori.

"So, stat increase you say?"

"Indeed. Which stat would you like to increase?"

Fall Season-Ding!
[X] Sue Torial
[X] Increase Self-Awareness by 1

"Self-Awareness? Interesting choice." Tori remarks. "Are you sure you want it?"

"Well, I guess. I mean, what's the harm in gaining a better understanding of myself?" You note. "And the world around me."

"Well, that's a logical way to look at things." Tori admits. "Of course, logic can be a dangerous thing." Her tone becomes strangely distorted at that moment, before returning to normal.

"First of all. What is your name?" She asks.

"Ikashi Toryauna." You say confidently.

"That's a nice name." She says smiling. "Where is that name from?"

"It's Japanese." You say slowly.

"I see. Now this school is called Anime Academy, correct?" She enquires.

"Yes it is. That's the name on the door." You note.

"And where does Anime come from?" She asks.

"Anime comes from Japan, it's Japanese Animation-are these some kind of trick questions?" You question her questions.

"No, no." Sue says with a shake of her head. "No trick. Just one more question, if I may?"

You nod, allowing her to continue.

"If you are Japanese, and this school is to get people into Anime, which is a Japanese medium…Why are we speaking in English?"

You open your mouth to answer and no words come out. You close it again. You do this for several minutes as Tori just watches you impassively.

The teacher walks up to you and turns to Tori.

"Kare wa jitsuzai no kiki o kakaete imasu ka?" She nods.

"Hai, sensei."

"Sōdesu ka."
The teacher starts writing on a clipboard. "Yoku yatta."

*Ding*

You're brought out of your confused state by a ding sound. You look to see the origin, and see your report card. Your stats have changed.

Self-Awareness is now 2.

"Tori…what, just-"Before you can question, Tori interrupts with a giggle.

"I'm sorry for messing with you Ikashi." She covers her mouth, but you can see her genuine smile. "You're new, so you clearly didn't know.

"Anime Academy is sponsored by several English streaming sites, including Funimation and Crunchyroll. Therefore, to allow us the ability to communicate our intents in their Dubs, all classes are in English, and we're encouraged to speak to each other in English."

"Ah…right. Yes. That makes sense." You say, recovering your composure. "I remember seeing their logos on the brochure when I applied." You glance around, and see the teacher is at the front of the class, admonishing the 4 students who had been gaming and momentarily trapping him in another world.

"Class will be ending soon, so you should think about making friends with some of the other students." Tori remarks.

"Other students?" You ask. "Why don't I just hang out with you? I mean," you rub your head bashfully. "I'm learning a lot from you."

"Aw, that's sweet." She says smiling. "But I've got some work of my own to do. Besides, protagonists are supposed to have a good circle of friends. Bad things happen when a protagonist obsesses over one social link."

"Ah…right." She said that with way too much certainty. "But, uh, should I just hang out with anyone?" You remember how the class initially turned on you in your initial introduction. Which of those people would want to hang out with you, without skewering you or putting you in their harem?

"Hmm, I think I know someone who could help." She reaches into her school bag and pulls out a small package wrapped in brown paper. "Her name is Jad Inoue. She's a cute little thing, but doesn't do well with crowds. You can find her outside at the playground where the trees are at all times." She hands you the package.

"What's this?" You ask, looking at the package.

"It's a present for her. It'll get her on your good side, and start you on her social link."

"Social…link?" You ask confused.

"Oh sorry, don't want to scramble that cute noggin of yours twice in one day." She says with a wink, which only further confuses you.

"Now, if you do go see her, there's just two rules. Don't look up. And don't look in the package." The bell rings and she stands up.

"See you around. Best Boy." She says, smiling as she leaves.

You glance down at the package.

If you want a special scene, when offered a write-in option while in the playground, type in 21/09/1997.
You are able to wrap up the package again to hide that you've opened it.

So, what do you want to do with your free period? You will have a second free period at the end of the day.
[] Go meet Jad Inoe in the playground.
[] Meet a different student you've encountered (Write-in)
[] Try and follow Sue without being seen

Fall Season-It hides in the trees
[Chosen] Go meet Jad Inoe in the playground.

Your feet crunch on fallen leaves when you enter the playground, as you admire how much forestation there is in this part of the school. The canopy crisscross over the jungle gym and other equipment so densely the sun is hidden. In fact, it almost feels too dark, given that it should be close to noon.

"This playground seems unsafe for children." You mutter aloud. "Wait. This is a highschool. Why is there a playground at all-" You're interrupted by a rustling.
You turn around quickly, trying to get a bead on where that sound came from. There's no one there.

There's a rustle behind you. You turn around again, but likewise there's no one present.

"Stay calm Ikashi." You say to yourself. "You're not in a horror anime, you're not in a horror anime-" There's a rustle again.

"Please don't tentacle me!" You scream, protectively grabbing your buttocks and sitting down.

Then you hear a sound from above, and instinctively glance up.

"CrimsonEye Poke attack No-Jutsu!" A shadowy figure launches itself at you, and suddenly everything goes black.
--
You slowly come to, holding your eyes. You're on the ground in a heap.

"What…happened?" You ask aloud.

In your confusion you think you see a Chibi version of Sue Tori floating around you like a Tweedle Bird in a Looney Toon.

"I told you not to look up, silly!" She said, before winking out of existence.

It's probably nothing, but you could mention it to Tori. If you want to mention it to her in your next scene with her, type Tweedle Bird in the Write-in option. Of course, it might come across as weird. Still, your call.

"Well," A girl's voice responds. You try to blink to find her, and her form slowly comes together.

A dark haired girl, probably not taller than 5ft, she's dressed in simple movable clothing. You notice a kunai and what's possibly a ninja-to at her side.

"You looked in my direction, so of course I launched a sneak attack," She continues. "That's when…"

[LOCKED] "Your eyes went black and you moved with incredible agility, tossing me aside. Then you collapsed, having used up that unknown power." [Requires OPness 2]

[LOCKED] "Your eyes met mine and…well they shined so bright, and suddenly I lost my balance and-and now you're face is really close to mine, and-GET OFF ME!" [Requires Attractiveness 2]

[LOCKED] "You threw some leaves you had picked up earlier in my face, disrupting my attack, before rolling out of the way." [Requires Studiousness 2]

[] "You called me a weeb ninja wannabe." She starts sniffling with sad eyes. "That was so mean!" [Requires Self-Awareness 2]

[] "I poked you in the eye with my special technique. You screamed 'oh god, that was chilli powder" then screamed some more, then you ran around like a headless chicken screaming 'water, for the love of Miyasaki, give me some water!' Then you ran into a tree, and now you're awake. So stop being a baby and let me pour some water on your eyes." [Gain the personality Trait 'Bumbling']

After finally getting up you nod at your new acquaintance.

"So, are you Jad Inoe?" You ask. She nods smiling.

"Indeed, I am the legendary ninja Jad of the Inoe clan!" She twirls her weapon with expert skill before striking a pose with them. "My legendary reputation must have spread across the globe, for how else would an absolute stranger know of me?"

"Oh, Tori told me about you." You respond. "She said I should try being friends with you."

She also mentioned giving Jad a package. Of course, that was before the little ninja tried to poke out your eye. Maybe you should keep it?

[] Give her the package.
[] Keep the package.
[] Write-in?

You have met Jad Inoue! Class List has been updated with her profile.

"Ok please, stop crying." You say as the tears pour down the small's ninja's face.

"I-I-I'm not crying." She says, wiping her face, weapons still in hand. "This is j-just my water Justu, Waterfall of M-M-Mystery."

"Uh…" You pull out the package you had. "Will you stop cry-performing your Jutsu if I give you a present from Tori?"

"Ooh-ooh, gimmie!" Tears vanished faster than the ninja, Jad takes the wrapped package. She starts unwraping it carefully, before glaring at you. "You didn't open this, did you?"

*Special Scene Code accepted*

"Uhh…" You say nervously. "Of-of course not." You say. You were confident that you had sealed up the wrapping as securely as Tori had. There's no way anyone could tell. Just stay cool man.

"You sure?" She leans in close to you, her deadly eyes inches from yours. "It would be rude to look at someone else's secret present." You feel a sharp blade at your neck.

"Of course." You say, doing your best not to gulp. "What monster would do that? Tori told me not to after all."

She stares at you for a couple of seconds, her face impassive.

"Good." She finally steps back, weapons sheathed. "Glad to see you can be relied up in confidential deliveries of such importance." She says, her back turned, with package hidden from you.

"Yup." You smile and point your thumb up. "You can believe it-I mean me." Then your eyes widen in horror at your Freudian slip. "Believe me. I meant believe me."

The girl freezes still. You feel the air around you go cold, almost as if icicles form around you.

"You did see it…" She says, her words like an icicle dangling above your head.

"I-I, I mean, maybe I saw a glimpse…" You admit. "But-but, I mean, there's nothing wrong with it, I mean, if that's what you're into…" Oh god I'm die. Not like this. I had so much left to do. Evils I wanted to vanquish. Conquests to add to my harem/reverse harem. I was going to take the sports team to finals. I never even saw Your Name-

"It's not what you think!" A sudden screech knocks you out of your morbid thoughts. Jad is waving her arms around frantically, blushing furiously as her eyes go really wide.

"A-and even if it was, there's nothing wrong with appreciating a good love story-" As she swings her arms arounds, she drops the package in front of you. It opens, revealing the cover.

*Special Scene Unlocked-Fujoshi No Jutsu*

There it was. A comic made by fans of a series-commonly called Doujinshi-where fans could draw their own adventures with favourite characters. All completely non-canon, and usually all in good fun.

From the cover you could tell this 60 page volume was likely a bit…passionate.

"Look ok, Naruto and Sasuke were made for each other!" She shouts out, grabbing the book, holding it like a life preserver. "They were each other's first kiss, and Naruto waited around for years longing for Sasuke. The sexual tension was in every ink blot-you see it too right?" She asks hopefully.

Well. What do you say?

[] "Um, Actually, if you read all the issues, and the author's notes in the letter sectios and interviews, it's clear that the writer always intended Hinata and Naruto to be OTP." [Support the canon ship with nerdy knowledge. Gain Trait-Otaku]

[] "You're so right! The way they gaze into each other's eyes when in battle-the passion is almost obscene. Can I read that after you're done?" [Appreciate the beauty of boy on boy love. Gain Trait-Yaoi]

[] "Uh no. Obviously the one real ship is [Write-in]. I've got like 5TB of fanfiction to back me up." [You've decided to support a Crack Ship as the OTP. Write-in your crack ship, as long as at least one of the participants is Naruto or Sasuke. Besides that, anything goes. Gain Trait-Sailor]

Well. I wonder if anyone predicted that? I'm curious what you guys thought putting that code in would have unlocked. Let me know.

Also, here are the Trait explanations:

Otaku
You appreciate the fine things in life...aka, the nerdy things. Whether it's anime, video games, movies, or whatever, you are passionate about something. However, because popular culture thinks you're all the same, you've been lumped together under one lump sum, even if you have never played a video game or seen an anime besides DBZ.
Thankfully, that means you will have the opportunity to spout off nerdy trivia. It may not always be helpful, and it might annoy people, but the option is always there.
Some modern anime like having Otaku Protagonists. It resonates with the audience for some reason.

Yaoi
You appreciate the beauty of boy on boy love, and like to help it along when you can. Having this trait does not mean you yourself are gay, nor does lacking this trait mean you have to be heterosexual. It does however offer you the opportunity to both gush about your male ships, as well as try to create pairings in real life, when you get the chance. Why don't they realise they would be perfect for each other, if they just didn't have girlfriends or wives?

Fall Season-Crack Ship like you've never cracked before
"Uh no. Obviously the one real ship is…you know wait, let me get the powerpoint." As Jad raises an eyebrow, you pull out your laptop from your school bag and open it up.

"Allow me to present my Naruto True Ship Diagram, containing all acceptable true pairings, threemances and so on with every character from the franchise."

Jad stares at it in wonder as the screen glows. Thousands of characters from the franchise, all connected with red lines.

"Are…are those links clickable?" You nod. "Where do they go?"

"Fan art. Fan fiction. And more Doujin games than you could ever dream of little girl." She gasps. "Shall we go on a journey?"

"Yes…please!" She nods.

"Let's start with project, keep the Uzumaki line pure." You click a link and the journey begins…

*25 minutes later*

"Now that we've established that Naruto and Karin are OTP," You state, while Jad is panting against a tree trunk.

"I can't believe that whole scene was voice acted." She says, struggling through deep breaths.

"Let's move onto Sasuke." You move back to the initial diagram.

"There's more?" She asks surprised, scrambling towards the screen.

"Oh yes. Now look here." She glances at where the mouse cursor is.

"There's two lines coming off Sauske?" She questions.

"Indeed. This is project, H Love with S Twofer. Hanabi and Haku." You say with pride.

"I can get behind Haku (so I can watch up close)," She says the last bit under her breath. "But Hanabi? She and Sauske barely interacted in canon-"

SLAP!

Jad is lying on the floor, holding her cheek in pain, looking up in confusion.

"Never use the C word around me." You note, arms crossed. "That is a shield people without imagination-without vision-hide behind, when they refuse to understand truth."

"I'm sorry master!" She prostrates herself before you, head to the floor. "Please, teach me more of your ways!"

You nod solemnly, and click on a link, before showing her the word document.

"I saved this treatise from the realms of Shi-Chan, moments before it was taken down by cruel moderators for excuses like 'obscenity' or 'inhumanity' or 'shit taste'."

"Oh god…" She starts reading it. "This is so…oh god, they're doing that? Such passion-such attention to detail!"

"Truly, a work of art, I never believed could be better expressed." You begin. "Until I found this…"

Jad looks at you, nervous but excited. You click a link, and it takes you to a video.

"A-are those Cosplayers of Sasuke, Haku and Hanabi?" She asks.

"No." You shake your head. "They're reenactors." You tap the space bar key.

*80 minutes later*

"And so as Hanabi and I are linked physically, so are our Sharingan and Byakugan, thus allowing us to see the real truth behind your illusions Haku. We see every aspect of you, your soul and your body, as it truly is."

"Oh *grunt* Sasuke…do you mean it?"

"Yes Haku. Be a part of our ninja marriage-now *Ugggh* until eternity."

Both you and Jad are wiping away tears.

"Every time, it gets me to bawl my eyes out." You note.

"So-so beautiful." Jad notes, scrubbing with her whole hands. "It's like your diagram. Everything is connected by the red threads of love."

"Threads?" You say with a knowing smile. "Those aren't threads."

"Then-then what do the red lines represent." She questions.

"They represent something greater than mere love. They represent a connection they all share, to something greater than all of us." You zoom out of the diagram. And zoom, and zoom, until the truth is revealed.

"Nani!" Jad gasps. "Those threads are…"

"Spaghetti strings." You say, giving a deep laugh. "For you see, all crack pairings are an offering to one being, the one true god!" You point at the screen, showing your master, whose tendrils touch every franchise in anime.

"God of Crack Ships and Pairings, the one whose pasta fills our souls with his sweet sauce-The Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster!"

"All praise GFSM!" You call out, kneeled in prayer.

"All praise his name!" Jad cries out, joining you in kneeling. You lead her in the GFSM prayer.

"That ship which is cracked, may never be sunk. Protect our pairings GFSM, and may our Doujins never be found by our parents. Amen." You bow again before standing.

"Please master, tell me your name." She beseeches you.

"I am Ikashi Toryauna. And I am no Master-just a follower of the Lord."

"Then brother Ikashi, please teach me in the ways of crack pairings!"

On a bench some distance away from the playground, Teacher was having his packed lunch, enjoying the privacy of the outdoors.

"mm mm." He said as he unwrapped his lunch. "Boy oh boy, do I love these onigiridonuts." He raised one of the white triangles up to his mouth when he heard a shout in the distance.

"Teach me how to be a Master of Ships like you Ikashi Toryauna!" The teacher's ears piqued up with interest.

"Is that Jad Inoue? Praising another student?" He said with surprise, putting his lunch down. "Ikashi must be an incredible shiphand to have impressed Inoue so much. I'll be sure to put that in my notes once I finish my motherfuckingOnigiridonuts!" He took a big bite of his lunch.

"Oh boy! Jelly filled are my favourite!Someone please kill me."

You look thoughtful as you consider Jad's request. She puts her hands together.

"I know! If you promise to teach me, I will use my ninja skills to serve as your spy! I can find out the traits and skills of any student whose name you give me within a week. How does that sound?" She offers.

"Alright, that sounds fair, young neophyte." I'm not sure how that'll be helpful, but no reason to say no.

"Alright then!" Jad says, pumping her arm in the air. "Now, I must depart. Smoke bomb-no jutsu!" In a blast of smoke you cough violently, before seeing she's gone.

"That wasn't ninja magic, that was just a smoke bomb!" You call out, before sighing. You then head back to class. "Man I'm gonna be so late."

Fall Season-Not Saved by the Bell
You hurry back to class, just to hear the bell ring.

"Now remember to review the fundamentals of the Iyashikei genre for your homework, you're going to need it next week when-oh Toryauna-san, thank you for deciding to join us." The person greeting you sounds like a mature teacher…except she looks like a little girl with pink hair.

"Uh, hi, um…sorry I'm late teach." You say nervously.

"Well, you're more than late, you missed class entirely. What were you doing?" She enquires.

Lie, lie, lie, lie, anything but the truth! You plead with yourself.

"I was summoned to another world by a magical princess that needed me to defeat a great evil by collecting the 7 sacred gem stones. I only just returned-for you it may have been a few hours, but for me it was 6 seasons and a movie."

There's a heavy pause in the air. Everyone is looking at you.

Crap. There's no way they're going to believe that-

"Not again." The pink haired teacher remarked, rubbing her head adorably. "Well I guess these things happen. Still, you'll have to get someone to share their notes-"

"I'll be happy to do it." Tori says with a smile, her hand raised politely.

"Thank you Tori-chan." The pink teacher turned to you frowning. "You would do well to learn from Tori. It will help you reacclimatise to this dimension."

"Oh-yes. Thank you Miss…" you peter off as you don't know her name.

"Rumiko Pīchipitto." She says with a smile. "See you tomorrow Toryauna-san." And with that she gathers her things to leave class.

"Right! Bye Pichipitto-sensei!" You say as she leaves.

"Hi Ikashi." Tori says from behind you, school bag in hand. "If you're not in a club or anything, we could review the class notes now in an empty classroom."

"Uh yeah. Good call Tori." You note, following Tori to an empty classroom.

"So the term Iyashikei itself means 'healing', as it's purpose is not adrenaline pumping action, or chilling thrills, but to offer the audience a relaxing or healing effect." Tori is sitting across from you at a table she's turned around to face yours.

"Uh huh." You note, dictating her comments.

"Ikashi are you alright?" She asks, tilting her head. "You seem a little distracted."

"Huh? Do I?" You question.

"Is there something on your mind?" She puts her chin in her hand perplexed. "I'm always happy to lend an ear."

Is there something you want to ask her?
[] "No, nothing, don't worry."
[] Write-in.

About an hour later, the two of you are cleaning up the classroom before heading out.

"So how was hanging out with Jad?" She asked, as she put a chair up.

"Oh great. She's a nice girl, got some…eclectic tastes." You note, trying to be subtle.

"Oh I see. Did you make a," She slides up close to you and bumps your shoulder. "Social link? Eh, eh?"

"Huh?" You say startled. "Social link? Wha-what are you talking about? I mean, we just met once." You nervously put a hand through your hair. "There was no linking."

"Social Links are an indicator of how close or strong your relationship with others are becoming." Tori begins. "You se-hmm." She stops for second and turns towards you.

"Do you think Social Links is too overused? Can you suggest of a better term for it?"

"Huh? Who are you talking to?" You glance behind you, but there's no on there.

"Oh don't worry about that." Tori says quickly.

*Tori Tutorial begins-Social Links (term pending)*

"Social Links are representations on your report sheet that show how strong a bond you are forming with your classmates. They don't have to be positive-a strong bond could be with a rival or a nemesis, as long as you are passionate about them.

"The benefits to increasing the level of your social link is a) unlocking special actions your classmate can perform for you, and b) gain traits they possess through exposure.

"By spending time with, and forming bonds with people whose traits you'd like to acquire, you can gain those traits. So find out the traits you want and go for them."

*Tutorial over*

"What that was informative." You note. You glance around. Not only is the classroom back to it's original state, but the sun is starting to go down. "Time flies when you're learning I guess."

"I guess that's true." She picks up her bag. "I'll see you tomorrow then." She turns to leave.

"Wait Tori." She stops and turns to you. "It's getting late. Why don't I walk you home?"

"I live quite far away. What about you?"

Where do you live?
[] I live nearby with my parents.
[] I live in the dormitories on the grounds.

"Well that was sweet to offer, but I live far." She turns and smiles. "But you can walk me to the bus stop."

"Alright, sure Tori." And the two of you are off.

I wanted to do more, but I feel like two tutorials in 1 post might be a bit much. See you guys tomorrow!
@PyrrosWarrior I like where your head is at. Keep up the work-don't let the QMlumati try to pull the wool over your eyes. You'll reach the truth if you keep pushing!
