Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

[X] Epilogue

And then the good Father and the rest of Yharnam wake up and suddenly we shift to a CK2 Style of Quest. :V

[X] Epilogue

Been one hell of a ride, I must say. Going to miss lurking for updates.

Thanks for the 2 years of fun Tricia.

That was a hell of a run Tricia. Thanks for an excellent two years.

Now who wants to put this bad boy into an easily readable archived format?

Venator. Ah mi supra venata.
Anima tor feci so vre re mal.
Venare insidiosus.
Mira tenebrarum.
Hic sic scitis miseriae aeterna.

The lyrics from the First Hunter, Gehrman's fight theme. It has those, for only about 30 seconds.

Translated.

Hunter. Ah, I have hunted.
I did it all to cleanse my soul from evil.
An insidious hunt.
A wonderful darkness.
This way I knew eternal misery.

However, that last line is debatable. The word 'miseriae' could be 'miserere', no official lyrics have ever set that straight.

When translated like that, the last line reads as such.

This way I knew eternal mercy.

In the context of this quest, I like to think the latter holds true.

Garlak, shortly before reading this update: Well, we didn't get to start off the fight with that one quote, but on second thought it's more fitting if used as a finisher isn't it? More true to its original usage. I hope Tricia will give us an opening to make a final quip.
A certain monologue comes to mind, not exactly biblically accurate but too appropriate not to use.
Waitwaitwait, could it be?
"The path o' the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name o' charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children."

Yesssss! It is! It is!
Moonfucker still can't recover from its last shot, writhing angrily but going nowhere as you close the distance.

"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the LORD when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Perfection.

You glorious motherfucker, I've been hoping for a chance to use this quote the entire quest. And you go ahead and use it for us! Thank you, you are awesome!

[X] Epilogue

Anderson's on a mission from God.

The hardest fights were overcome. And now comes the task of spreading the name of the Lord and the teachings of Jesus, and defending a new flock.
[X] Epilogue

Are we finally going to teach the Yarnham locals the wonders of Boondock Saints?
[X] Epilogue

Heh. They are finally gonna get that explanation on the intricacies of sleeveland, ain't they?
And in turn, I hope we can finally learn what Steps 2 through 10 are. We never got around to asking Maria or Gehrman about them. Simon and the rest should know though.

"Ebrietas did not aid you against Gehrman because I told her not to. I believed Gehrman had a plan. I am sorry for the pain he put you through."

"He did what he had to and so did ye. No hard feelin's. Could have warned me about that sword beam, though. Or at least showed me how ta do it."

"I am afraid that is a secret he took to his grave, Hunter Anderson."

"Bollocks."
Does anyone else think the secret to sword beams are in that copy of How to Pick Up Fair Maidens?

[X] Epilogue

Ahuhuhu, wonderful, simply WONDERFUL!
I may not have joined in this quest until near the end, but this truly was a grand ride, simply a wonderful quest.
This truly, truly, was a roundabout path.
Arigato, Anderson.
