Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 9: Icon’s Idiosyncrasies Incite Irritating Inquisition

No, EOA would, depending on Clarity, wonder why someone would make such a thing. The one that would adore them is Iris, because he could take them apart and put them together and blow things up. All in the name of understanding Nowhere physics.
Point taken. I still think EoA!Taylor would show at least a bit of interest though (in a "what the heck is that" manner).

I am at Wondercon in SoCal, if anyone paying attention to this thread is as well. Hope to be home early(ish) tonight, so that I can finish up the update.

Just found this.

Fun!

In an apocalyptic, everyone's going to die, way.
Ah, I'm flattered that you were able to pick up on my intended goal so well! Stay a while and watch the world burn (in the flames of Glorious Robot Communism)!

Auto seems suspiciously well informed for a primordial entity trapped in another dimension. I'm increasingly convinced that he picked someone else out of the world and brought them to himself.

There is a very small chance that one of the updates could end with "...mom?"
THAT would be one hell of an interesting plot twist. I wouldn't mind seeing it myself, but Gromweld most certainly has other plans in mind.

Just letting everyone know that I finally finished Worm. I should be able to participate in this quest more actively from now on.

Congrats! Did you calculate how many hours it took you to read it all?
Not really, but I think I started reading in Late January, so it took a few months to finish, in between college and other free time activities.

That is a suspiciously specific denial. Annette Hebert died in a car crash without parahuman participation. The PRT didn't have any reason to get involved. Not to mention that more than 90 % of the earth's surface don't fall under PRT jurisdiction. Note that Grom didn't say that the manner of Taylor's death has never been observed on earth bet...

EDIT: Also note the invisible text.
Hence my Hmmmm...

I'm inclined to think that Taylor is the first Alchemical, and the first attempt by Autochton. He's too desperate to really put things off for experimentation, and the way Taylor's exaltation was kinda botched suggests he wasn't certain on how to fiddle with Nowhereverse humans.
He could have abducted/rescued nowhereverse humans to find out about Earth Bet and stuff to make sure his Alchemical has a good chance to suceed.

If anyone has a handy reference for the cape and PRT population of New York, I could really use it now - I've already spent a few hours combing through the story for names, but without any form of search function and lack of a suitable wiki, research for this next bit is a pain in the ass.

Best bet might be to get in touch with wildbow via PM. Don't know if/when he's on though.
