M'crazy.
Would they forget while she's in Autocthon?I believe Grom nixed that so even if Aisha's shard was converted future capes would still forget their trigger visions.

No, I'm still interested. The writing is more than good enough for me to keep reading. My problem was analysis paralysis: the situation was sufficiently complex that I couldn't put in the time necessary for me to understand it well enough to feel comfortable contributing. I chipped in once or twice but didn't feel like I knew enough to vote.Guess I fudged this vote up fairly hard? Or has interest in the quest finally dropped?
Especially since the committee got it wrong but had the numbers to start a bandwagon. It was 6 people quibbling over a bad plan.
Not quite. Shards are divisible and recombinant, you can split it up and get two shards that does the same thing in slightly different ways. There is a bit of Broadcast in every cape, so that they can ping off each other, and a bit of Administrator in minion makers to control minions remotely. So the parts of Aisha's shard that edits memories were already chopped up and added to every shard package, meaning every shard has the memory loss effect on it's host, except Cauldron shards(which weren't properly configured) and a few of Scion's shards where he didn't check if the package conflicted(like Miss Militia's Perfect Recall(which was in turn a function used to index weapon technologies so it can produce them), interfering with the memory loss).I think the reasoning was that the trigger memory wipe process was setup to be automatic before they sent out Aisha's shard at the beginning so no probably not.
This is me as well. I can't follow discussions for votes this complex so if I did vote it would just be a bandwagon. No, I'm still interested. Also, I think I probably speak for quite a few people when I say that there are plenty of people who, like me, just don't vote on quests that often. I generally only feel like voting when there's not a clear winner and I like one of the options significantly more than the other; the rest of the time I just say "it'll already turn out the way I want, no need to clutter up the thread" and go about my day. Given that you get literally tens of thousands of views on your threads, I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of people doing the same thing I'm doing. So even if interest has "dropped" - which I doubt - you've still got loads of it.
I had meant to do this before, but this reminded me that I needed to do this tally at some point. For what it's worth, here are the stats for all Alchemical Quest Threads (including Story-Only Threads) as of the time of this post:@Gromweld
Following up on this point:
The last thread(Thread 17) had ~86k views.
Your all time highest viewcount on SV is Thread 14 with 190k views; OTOH, that thread, at 170 pages, was almost twice as large as a regular thread.
In comparison, your most viewed thread on SB was Thread 6(131k) followed by Thread 4(127k), Thread 3(113k), Thread 1(108k), Thread 8 and 9(106k), Thread 10(104k), Thread 2(103k), Thread 11(87k), Thread 7(86k)
Yeah, you seem to have lost readers since moving fulltime to SV, though they might simply follow the story only threads instead.
Stands to reason; SV is still a significantly smaller forum than SB.
Forum participation OTOH is harder to quantify.
The regulars are still here; casual dropins seem to be less frequent though.
And I think some people seem to be less active due to their primary forums being SB, or due to RL.
All in all, levels seem pretty steady for a year long quest; no perceptible short-term drop I can see.
:TheScream:
I imagine you could cross post the Quest there. Managing voting from both forums could be a real hassle though. Simply moving it back straight up seems pretty rude now that you have an established following here. So, yeah. Coming up on 2 million views across the Quest, and near 45 thousand posts. And, yes, it does look like the transition from SB to SV lost a good chunk of the readership, so... not sure how I feel about that. The reason for the move was primarily because SB was imploding and looked to be on its way under, but now that things have returned to normalcy (perhaps even better, with the new XenForo additions) I'm wondering if it might be worth going back? Food for thought.
Gromweld's already maintaining a story-only thread on SB.
I was not a member of SB, but I became a member of SV so I could participate in this quest (not that I post very often... ). If you moved it back, I would be greatly distressed.
Moving back will almost certainly result in a net increase of readers. I have accounts on both forums, but I rarely look at any other part of SV.So, yeah. It's up to you. Obviously you're looking for more readers because as a writer you want people to read your stuff. That said, it's a bit of a gamble because while you'll probably pick up more readers by bringing things back to SB that's not a guaranteed thing and you also risk losing some folks on the SV side. So, yeah. Where is the basic framework for the accordion structure anyway? It's up to you. Obviously you're looking for more readers because as a writer you want people to read your stuff. There's also the question of if the snazzy front page format will transfer over. Very fancy, that front page.
Yeah, you used to be the biggest Omake contibutor when the Quest started! Such a long time ago, now...First omake from me in awhile. I avoided any descriptions of Vista intentionally not knowing what exactly Grom has Bonesaw doing to her since the tv appearance. This was my first time trying to write for the Nine and I'm sure Jack is off but I figure better to post it then throw it out for not being "perfect".
Stalwart
I don't think my "Christmas" Omake was up there? Gone but Never Forgotten?Eh, I'll figure something out; if I were to do anything more beyond the Story-Only Thread I maintain on SB, I wouldn't drop SV for the switch.

Anyway, yeah, you got Jack and Riley pretty solidly so no worries there. Loved the cursing bit from Missy, but I'm not sure Riley would hit her since Bonesaw isn't really one for physical violence like that - she'd just act all huffy before dropping that "triple your pain receptors" line. Great work, as usual! +1 XP!
I've updated the Index with all the Omakes and Art pieces from the XP Log, so if I missed one let me know!
I was curious about this, so I took the accordion structure in the OP and stripped it of all the contents, then copied it and previewed it in a post on SB. It is not supported on SB, as the preview just displayed the text and nothing else. It's up to you. Obviously you're looking for more readers because as a writer you want people to read your stuff.
