Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 18: Ravaging Rapscallions Rapidly Regret Regular Rampages

I just don't think people are taking him seriously as a threat. He is one of exactly two s9 members who can physically threaten us (the alchemicals) even if encountered with a strong group. Of we had a 'capture manton' or 'capture bonesaw' option for 2 everyone would be all over it. Crawler is of the same threat level as them, arguably higher.
Crawler is a tactical level threat. He's pretty good at killing individuals, and he's a pain in the ass to take down.

But he's not a threat the way that Bakuda and Bonsaw are, who can make nukes and superplagues to wipe out entire cities or even continents.

We should try to channel something the next planning session: at the absolute wrost we will gain two mere points(If we find somehow a method to channel Temperance) but it will better than gaining no points at all!

Protectorate: six members.
Chance to roll <90 six times: 53%

Case 53s: 4 members.
Chance to roll<90 four times: 66%

Chance of no casualties at all - ten times to roll <90: 35%.

This... will be interesting.

As an exercise, if we had devoted no points to the Protectorate or Case 53s:
Chance to roll =<60, ten times: 0.6%

Edit: Fixed symbol alignment.

I'm OK with light maiming. Just as long as nobody I care about dies...

We don't actually need ALL the 53's to survive mostly just Weld and Willow. I'm much leerier of Protectorate losses.

Still even if we had gone with full coverage this update we'd still have been rolling the dice on the next one for sure.

If Miss Militia, Armsmaster or Chevalier die, I shall be rather cross.
Still... We're no-selling most of what the Nine are pulling in this coordinated assault, removing their teleporters, and capturing their second strongest fighter. And, if we're lucky, there's a small chance we might take out some of the other Nine in the process.

Gromweld, any chance we can learn what was going to happen before you decided on the point-allocation system?

To be honest I feel there were almost too many characters to give them all the attention they deserve, so a few dying is sad but not that bad.

I would really hate to see Miss Militia die. And, to a lesser degree, Bladedancer and Armsmaster.

The others - while I like some of them I am not so attached to them as not to bear it. It would be sad, yes.

The case 53's dying would be very bad for political reasons as well. I hope Weld survives.

Edit:
On the other hand 35% chance for all to survive is good under the circumstances.

You don't want to know.

Trust me.

Some things you're better off not knowing. Remember the fate of the Dwarves, who delved too deeply.

Plus Dragon would be heartbroken if her future-boyfriend were to die

Yes, I somehow think it really was not pretty.

Plus Dragon would be heartbroken if her future-boyfriend were to die

Well, she is not so close with Armsmaster yet.

But yes, Armsmaster and Bladedancer are, after Miss Militia, people I want to lose least.

We should have gotten a Compassion virtue channel for trying to protect everyone.
Not a single vote was made to protect our erstwhile allies, the Street Kings. Had people legitimately discussed spending all our points on Defense because we didn't want people to get hurt (not because it would piss Jack off) then I would have offered a Compassion Channel.

But no one ever brought it up. In the future, consider what kinds of votes would allow for various Virtue Channels.

MM and Chevy are protected by the "STOP SCENE" vote, meaning that we will have a chance to Convert them should they develop a bad case of the Deads.

I'm going to do a re-roll for 8.3, compare it to the first version, and then use the better of the two. Note that in the case of the first version I will use the roll itself not the result - if a roll would have killed in the first version but the person is now Fully Protected, the roll just Incapacitates them.

I think people wanted to know if protecting everybody would earn a Compassion Channel before suggesting actually protecting everybody. That was certainly my thinking.
