Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 15: Occluded Orb Obsessively Observes Obscene Operations

True on all accounts, but now we have to wonder what else they felt they didn't need to tell us. We can't have repeats of whatever the hell this is.
Also, assuming they make it out, what do we tell the Wards? That they lied to us about Bezalel's specialty?
WE don't say anything; that's the PRT's job.

Anyway, it's not like classified info is anything new to the Wards; remember how the BB Wards didn't say anything about Shadow Stalker when we first joined?
If it's explained that they were trying to avoid attention from people like Mannequin, noone would complain.
It's not like he interacted with the Wards anyway.

Fair enough. Wonder how they'll try to spin it though.

State it's under investigation?Leak rumors of S9 infiltration of his equipment.
The S9 attack will act as a media distraction anyway.

Do note that having a cyborg Tinker go rogue is not going to help us if/when we choose to Exalt Armsmaster.
It's going to actively impede our entire agenda.

Fucking Bez was probably envious of our success converting our entire body into a chassis.

Additional comments:
We now know why both Armsmaster and Miss Militia are getting transferred ASAP.
Major PRT departments probably need a resident adult Tinker, and both Taylor and Kid Win are still Wards.
And with Robert's current self-doubt issues, he might be interested in the input from an Old Ward.

Hell, Aisha's getting wounded means that to mollify the YG, they'd probably bring in MM anyway to backup Chevalier.

Grab-Bag:
[X] But if it comes down to it, save the capes.
No. of votes: 1 (INVALID VOTE, Y U SO SILLY?)

Imrix
Eh?
Calculus of War: Snap decision for FPoP, save the tourists or save the PRT workers?
[X] Save Tourists
[X] But if it comes down to it, save the capes.

I was mostly worried about being forced to choose between civilians and say, Missy if she's on-base.

(Note: I have not yet read the update)

EDIT: Oh shit Aisha :O

as much as like Riley as a character (well, after she's been de-Bonesaw'd) I strongly suspect that Enduring Order Administrator and/or First Prayer of Perfection will have very little restraint in ending her- not the least of which because she'll probably set off every VOIDTECH APOSTATE PURGE THE INFECTION instinct they may possess. I just hope the Teli-twin's okay :(

Then you misunderstood the vote option. PRT Workers in this case meant the non-cape personnel.
Yes, I got that. I figured there weren't enough cape hostages on-base to be worth an option to Gromweld, and I disagree. If it comes down to it, capes matter more to me than however many tourists or workers are on base, because they can save an awful lot more people in the future.

I guess all the cape hostages aren't on-base now? Whatever works.

They're not Autocthonian so they won't really HAVE Voidtech Apostate purging instincts, besides Grom mentioned in an earlier thread that the biggest priority would be capturing her in case she has any deadman switch plagues rigged.

And then the Marrow/Bladedancer/Miss Militia/Chevalier love quadrangle/harem shenanigans can start in earnest :p

What happened was that you ignored how voting works. Grom gave you two options, and told you to vote for one. PRT Workers, or Tourists. He did not give you a 'save the capes if they are there' option (you could have possibly tossed that uselessly into a stunt, if you wanted). Basically, he gave you two options and told you to pick one. Instead, you voted for one of the options he gave you, and then made up a third option, and voted for it too.

Yyyyyeah, for all her tearjerking origins, I'm not really gonna mind if Taylor terminates her. Bonesaw is a monster.
I'm just hoping Taylor's friends are OK.

I'll have to open her chest up to pump out the blood in the right lung before I seal it off.
Oh hey there bad memories. How are you doing?

And... Yeah, I've been worried about this for awhile. Aisha vs non-Jack or Siberian members of the S9? Sure. Aisha vs anything with a camera? Bad end.

Well, Grom and I was talking about this, because I figured it was important. What Grom said is that, for the most part, you will have the chance to rescue/save/keep alive long enough for faceplant into Cradle Point the important to you characters.

EDIT: SO, you know, don't fuck up and ignore things until oops, chance has passed. :)

Um dude, the very first on-screen conversation that Weaver had with Bladedancer and Marrow specifically reference a Voidtech infestation; that was the zombie invasion scenario she mentioned.
Be sure that anything of the sort WILL twinge her instincts hard,

But yeah, all possible instructions will be to take Bonesaw alive.
Biotinkers are scary.

Yes but none of them KNEW it was voidtech specifically or even what it is, Weaver just knew that something was strange about the Alchemicals and it infected the populace somehow along with some metaphorical darkness consuming everything.

First impressions of update:
I guess Bezalel has gone Shodan/Skynet on us.

Poor Aisha. Well, on the plus side maybe we can set her up with Armsmaster after this...unfortunate incident. Reason being:
  1. She can get totally sweet robo limbs as replacements.
  2. Armsmaster is practically a machine already so he'd have an easier time keeping track of her :V
  3. Would make for hilarious buddy cop duo.
Side note: tinker-tech baseball bat? How does that even work? Is it, like, rocket powered or something? Because that would be awesome.

Extra side note: Getting a huge Five Nights at Freddie's vibe with Bezalel. Especially after the cybernetic conversion revelation.

Weaver's head whipped around, revealing a face covered in splatters of blood where the tracts of tears had not washed it away. The obsidian spider legs framing her head twitched menacingly, and what dark, graphite-like skin he could see drank in the hallway's pale light.

WEAVER DISAPPROVES

That's fair. Kinda thought stunting could work that way, but seems not. Live and learn :)

You formatted it improperly then. It should have been something like this:

[!] Save the PRT Workers
- [!] If there are capes there, save the capes instead.

Note the 'dash'? That's the important thing (well, also how you word the stunt; the stunt above would get, like, no dice and Grom would be sad and Autochthon would be heartbroken. You don't want to break the Great Maker's heart, do you?)

Perhaps super-dense yet paradoxically lightweight materials? Remember from the Interlude that the drones Aisha took down were severely damaged, and she's not that strong physically.

Yes, that was why I suggested it might be rocket powered - had to account for that extra strength somehow and I just went with what made sense :V
