Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 15: Occluded Orb Obsessively Observes Obscene Operations

Perhaps super-dense yet paradoxically lightweight materials? Remember from the Interlude that the drones Aisha took down were severely damaged, and she's not that strong physically.

Maybe it is my ESL showing up, but whole interlude was trowing me up for the loop.

To put it simply: Density shows how much substance weight per volume, there is also Hardness (in layman term "what this can cut") and Toughness (well, "how tough this is").
So i went "WTF!?" several times while reading the interlude...

Wanted to point out how you cannot have "super-dense lightweight" if you are not Chevalier... But then "Fucking Tinkers" (c)... :p

Density uses mass, not weight. Null or weaken the effect of gravity on a mass, and it will weigh less, but retain its mass, and by extension, its density.

Hm... so are we likely going to be seeing Social Combat between Weaver and Bezalel? We don't have any Social Charms to force things our way, but are our Social stats high enough to beat out whatever S9 influence there might be?

Also, hey, if Bezalel makes an upload of a bug into a drone, hypothetically, would SOPA be able to seize control of it?

Waaaaaagh!!!

Ok, ok, should have used "mass". Shows me what you get for using layman terms on SV... *grumbles-grumbles* :D

Point is, while Tungsten is decent choice if you are going for the sheer mass, there is better choices for Hardness and Toughness.

And i do believe the word "dense" was used not fully correctly a couple of times. For example: if you want to tank nasty hit as Chevalier you should go for both Density (in order to not get tossed away like rag-doll) and Toughness (in order to not get smeared by your own armor caving in).

...Some details (like this one) just "jump out" on me...

P.S. Chevy powers are "BULLSHIT!!!" (c)... :p

Yes but none of them KNEW it was voidtech specifically or even what it is, Weaver just knew that something was strange about the Alchemicals and it infected the populace somehow along with some metaphorical darkness consuming everything.
Nope.Weaver knew, she just didn't want to go into details. Info about Autochton's enemies is part of the package in Lore5.

If it were pure tungsten, maybe. But it's a tinkertech tungsten alloy, so I imagine it's less brittle than the pure form.

Poor Aisha. Well, on the plus side maybe we can set her up with Armsmaster after this...unfortunate incident. Reason being:
Lemme point out that we can probably give her her old limbs back.
Weaver absorbs anything she cut off, Marrow uses BRM to fix it, then Weaver reattaches it.
One last application of BRM to fix everything and we're golden.

I'd think that she'd run into the same sort of problem we saw with Dragon; when TIE sees that it's a people, it gets sad and wants to puke. We might be able to buy Bezazel-bot as another 2 dot teacher (maybe?), but after Dragon I don't see that as quite as beneficial.

Warboss incoming!

"And this is Adjoran, the Silent Wind. Best way to fight her is to blare the most obnoxious music possible at maximum volume at all hours of the day to annoy her enough to go somewhere else."

And this is She Who Lives In Her Name. For security concerns, her real name is not revealed. The way to fight her is to attack her OCD. Use bad grammar, color outside the lines, stop queueing up properly.

"And this is the Ebon Dragon. Total dick. Fight him by being nice to small animals like puppies, giving to charities, and using lots of mirrors to allow natural sunlight to go everywhere"

Tungsten: "This isn't even my final form!"

That...sounds workable, actually. But it ignores a new possibility; CYBER-MECHA ASSAULT AISHA!

While it's possible that Bezazel has gone to the S9, it's equally possible that he's been Bonesaw'd or had some equally horrible fate happen to him. I half-expect to discover him with his skull off and a bunch of wires in his brain, that he didn't put there. I don't think we've gotten enough info about his character to decide either way, though.

With the revelation of his specialty, I wonder how many people thought Weaver was one of his constructs gone rogue? Before the Cradle was made obvious, it must've been a suspicion.

Or just point out a hunky Solar capable of hurting/killing her. :p

So Aisha with Wilhelm's Cyber Commando skill tree from Bordlerands the Pre-sequel? With explosive mech punch, shoulder mounted Vengeance cannon and flying attack drones?

my main concern is for the Teli-twin that Bonesaw's got ahold of.

well, that and Apostate!Bonesaw, because Bonesaw with Dissonance is an absolutely terrifying thought, but hopefully we'd get at least a little warning if that was the case.

and yeah, Lore 5 means EOA gets to know all the fun of Gremlinizing, Blight Zones, Apostates and Voidtech. she's just been soft-selling it to everyone to prevent, you know, mass panic and the high likelihood of being birdcaged if anyone find out about it.

The Viator of Nullspace isn't something anyone wants anywhere near their stuff, after all.

No, he absolutely did not. Some PLAYERS said that, others disagreed, there was a HUGE fight, and nothing got accomplished.

Lets not start that fight again until we have to.

No I remember because the LAST time it happened I posted the specific quote.

Edit: here it is again

Broadcast is known more for his... enthusiasm... than his well-thought-out ideas.
It took Bonesaw/Riley two years of separation from Jack to even do one good deed, so... yeah. She is, however, a priority target to keep alive due to the assumed catastrophic kill-switch viruses she probably has rigged up.

The link in your post doesn't work. I'll see if I can find the source.

Ah, you're right,
Broadcast is known more for his... enthusiasm... than his well-thought-out ideas.

I was still thinking of the FIRST Panacea vs Bonesaw exaltaion argument fit throwing discussion.

It will be Mega-Who, and it will be glorious (or it would be, if people could actually remember her).

For many, it would be the most amazing event of their lives.

As an unfortunate side-effect of being unable to remember it, however, they spend the rest of their lives in unknowing misery as great occasions fail to live up to their expectations. Graduating from College, the birth of a child, their child's first birthday...moments that should be one of the happiest moments of their lives feel less grand than they'd expect, don't measure up, and they don't know why. People shuffle about their lives with a sense of detachment, feeling a step removed from all their accomplishments.

Strangers to their own lives.

That doesn't seem all that likely. Distance aside, the things that Taylor does is way outside what Bezazel has shown to be capable.

Actually, why did they hide his specialty again? Beside moral questions.

I'm terrified right now.

Because Grom commented on it being unfortunate we didn't get that dot of Dodge.

And we're carrying a heavily injured Who.

So...that item we get to choose? It needs to be some kind of tinkertech miracle healing device, an EVERYTHING proof one person life support pod, or a very sturdy shield of some kind.
