A World of Mud and Sweat - A Future Nation Development Quest

[X] From abroad! Egypt must remain stable, no matter the cost.
[X] From the workers! A general strike will bring the regime to the negotiation table.

Nasser took power in a military coup people... from the masses will probably make us into a dysfunctional republic or a theocracy like Iran depending on the flavor of it.

[X] From within! Citing untold numbers of strongmen before, change must be accepted and controlled as much as possible.
[X] From the military! The usefulness of el-Sisi is over, and now strength must shepherd Egypt anew.

These will be best for Egypt's stability. If you want democracy a thaw is the best way to achieve it.

This is great because it will keep us from becoming an Iran, it will also work towards worker's rights which are dismal.

Marxism-Leninism with Pan-Arab Characteristics is better than Nasserism anyway.

Yeah, as Myanmar today shows, a military coup is just great for a nation's stability. /s
I'm not saying it will be good for it, it will be best for it. All of these options bring instability... you'll note I also voted for other options as well for that matter. I'm approval voting because I don't want a situation like Iran or 1900s Brazil to happen. Those options are the ones who will least rock the institutions. Except for the worker's one, but that's a personal bias.

There isn't a single 'revolution' that has succeeded without the consent of either the military or elements within the regime itself. That holds pretty true for Egypt too. From the masses & workers are interesting options because it can easily be tipped into one of those 'people's' dictatorships.

I suppose we could also go full democratic, but where's the fun in that when that's what everyone else is doing? Triggering an authoritarian wave in MENA would weaken our democratic neighbors and let Egypt carve out its own sphere of influence. I can even see the motto - something like from Marrakesh to Mashhad, all under Cairo.
