CW: Very 90s.

Also, this is going to be a seriously fucked up quest. I'm going to be doing my damndest to channel an appropriately edgy, teen-rage vibe. Expect violence, drugs, sex, etc.

There's also going to be some Pretty Uncomfortable Dysphoria-ing, trans readers be warned.

[x] Plan: Armor?

[X] load a KPV heavy machine gun, and find out how armored that'l car is

A Bit Too Much
[X] Plan: Ablative Cartana
-[X] 1 from the car as the try and smash us off the road as we drive up close, which eats up the 2 as the car spins in a circle. Then we lean out and use the 6 from the car and the 5 from our pool to deal harm with our FUCKIN' KATANA WHICH WE JUST PULLED OUT! We slash one tire of the first car, and it FLIPS and smashes the OTHER cop car as Cache gets the car under control and gives Coda a little nod, like, "Good job." Then we spend the other 5 on the car to attack the armored car by Cache driving up to the side of the armored car and we jump onto it and impale the engine.

I was sick for a week :( sorry for the delay

okay so...this is fun, but I feel its a bit tonally... much? It reads like parody, and I don't know how to write it. I also think it is leaning into Disconnect territory pretty hard.

My apologies for that, and also for not clarifying how vehicle health works. As compensation to @DragonCobolt for ruining his plan, I will write more kissing soon.

Vehicle health: Basically, vehicles can take as much Harm as they would provide dice to PCs.

Can we get some new votes?

Quick question, is it intentional that Rocket Launchers are the only explosive that doesn't have Burst? If the launcher does have Burst we could instead aim to total both lead cop cars.
If we're only taking out one car we should really be using something more scaled to that job, like a Bolt Action Rifle.

Yes, rocket launchers are single-target. It's a bit of a balance-y gameplay-y thingy.

Good to know, thanks.
[X] Plan: Efficient Firepower
-[X] Whip out a Pistol and a Sawn Off Shotgun, one in each hand [-3 Gear] as Cache pulls us in close to the cops
-[X] As soon as they're close enough, use the shotgun [car's 6] to shred one of the cars, causing it to spin out in the way of the armored van as we use the pistol [our pair of 2s] to provide suppressing fire towards the other two vehicles to mitigate return fire

Totals the same number of cop cars (1), tosses some bad rolls, avoids return fire, and uses way less Gear

3.2 - I Fought the Law (The LAW Won)
No time for it like the present. You reached down into the bag you'd throw at your feet, unzipping it and pulling out an olive tube about three feet long. You ignored Cache's slack-jawed expression as you pulled out the rear tube to arm it and put it over your shoulder.

"Holy shit, Coda, what the-"

There was an crash and the sound of breaking glass behind you as the windshield blew out, and the lead cop car disappeared behind a cloud of smoke and flame. Pieces of metal streaked past you, pattering against the car, the road, the buildings all around as windows on nearby buildings shattered. The windshield, in one intact piece, sailed out and crashed down onto the road.

What came rolling out the other side of the smoke still looked like a car, but one that somebody had taken a can opener to. The front, from the bumper to the back of the hood, was peeled open in an enormous metal wound, which dark black smoke and fire poured from. Both front doors were flopping open, popped from their frames by the impact.

A moment later, the left-hand side wheel snapped off its axel and the car swerved hard, tumbled, and flipped. Something, a person, flopped out the passenger side. The police car behind turned desperately to avoid it, tires screeching, then the armoured car simply plowed through the smoking wreck, carrying on without stopping.

You threw the empty tube onto the road and ducked back down into the seat, turning to Cache. He looked exacerbated.

"You never did anything half-measure, I'll say that," he said, turning back to the road. "They stopping?"

"Yeah, they're slowing down. Uuuh, other car-"

"I see it!"

He stepped on the gas and the car jerked forward as the other police car slotted in beside, a cop leaning out the passenger-side window. He had a longarm of some kind in his hands, aiming wildly in your direction.

---
This cop is about to shoot a shotgun at you. That's 1-Hit, 5 Damage if it hits you!
You can spend your or the car's dice to avoid it. A full hit means dodging without consequences. A partial means dodging, but having reduced firepower on the return.
Then, after you dodge/take the hit, what do you do?
Your charge:
⚄⚂⚂⚁⚁
The car's Charge:
⚄⚃⚁⚀

Looking at the top bar we have 0 Gear? As far as I can tell it would be 10-8=2, am I missing something?
