CW: Very 90s.

Also, this is going to be a seriously fucked up quest. I'm going to be doing my damndest to channel an appropriately edgy, teen-rage vibe. Expect violence, drugs, sex, etc.

There's also going to be some Pretty Uncomfortable Dysphoria-ing, trans readers be warned.

[X] Plan: Revenge and Romance
-[X] ADVANCE: Bring It: A +1 bonus to one die on subsequent Fight die against the same singular opponent. Stacks.
-[X] CREW: Chrissy and the Page/Stack System.
-[X] QUESTIONS: How many factions are there, of machines and human resistance? What is Home like?

I wanna use the move to kill an agent someday. I wanna smootch Chrissy, Page and Stack are fun and know a lot about changing RSI hopefully!

[]Question : How much of whst happens in the Matrix is real? Because your bosses have been jammering about the millenium problem for months (after ignoring it for decades) and you didn't exactly leave your code in a workable state. You really hope that that miserable pile of apostroohes take down at least one of those blighted towers.

Making a plan based on various options I like here, hat tip to @DragonCobolt and @JustGazzer here.

[X] Plan Booting Up
-[X] ADVANCE: Quick Turnaround: On a 6 while fighting Flexible, disarm an enemy, take their weapon, and immediately use it with a bonus to Shoot.
-[X] CREW: Enigma, and Cache

Quick Turnaround synergises excellently with our fighting style, and gives us a way of using firearms, with the bonus cancelling out our low Cool. When we can remove our malus to Cool (which we should purchase at the soonest possibility), then it will become even more effective, our coup-de-grace option in fights.

In terms of who to talk to, I chose Cache here because he was our best friend in the Matrix, and it is because of his trust and kindness that we are free. Reconnecting now that we're the "real" us, or discovering what that means at least, seems like it could be an opportunity for some reflection for both of us. Next, Enigma, because we were explicitly told to refer to him if we want to know more about the rifts between human resistance factions, and that sounds interesting.

This naturally leads into asking about factions and the lay of the political landscape here. Also asking the question about doggos, because of course, but also it is a fascinating way of asking about where the artificial reality of the Matrix comes from, what they're using to simulate its biosphere, etc..

I see the logic in the plans where we talk to Cache, but alas I am a reliable slut for smooching plans.

A little weird to pair the skill vote to our questions, given they don't interact. But I do agree on all these choices. (Let's hope pets still exist.)

Quick Turnaround seems powerful, doesn't necessarily need our 6s, and takes advantage of our existing bonuses
I'm more interested in picking up the narrative threads immediately in front of us for the moment, though I do wanna get to know Cache eventually. Also dogs are great and I can't not ask that

I'm hoping that a mishmash of options from the various plans can still be meaningfully counted and it's not just "whichever plan has the most votes is executed verbatim", but in the latter case someone please lemme know and I'll try to pick someone to stand behind

It...really can't, it just ends up confusing the poor vote tally automated system thing.

Then the questor has to count themselves! And do you know how hard math is? 2+3 = ??? Science may never know

Unfortunate
I do not bother with it, i have been running quests since before the vote tally system was added!
Then the question becomes whether this was about the tally system in its entirety, or just the "voting open" part that was being mentioned

It depends on what the QM will allow. Different quests will have different rules, and some votes will be made to have different rules than others.

I can't speak for open_sketch, but it appears we're going with only plan voting for this one.

First off, you can sort the vote by line, and use the vote manager to fix anything that didn't work out right. Secondly, some QMs will do counts independent of the vote tally, though that's usually because someone made (including maybe the QM) messed something up.

oh, of course. We're anticapitalist, so we have infighting.
As said in Popular Video Game That Probably Didn't Get Made Here, Disco Elysium:
"Complaining about other communists is one of the most important parts of being a communist."

In other news, I figured out what was bothering me so much about Sprite. I think they kind of put me in mind of some of the grosser tendencies in the tulpamancy community around 2011 or so, back when I was created. Which is a bit of a superficial comparison, because a non-sentient "bot" that happens to be running on a human brain is quite different from the equivalent hooked up to some person-stuff. So, just kind of gross and objectifying rather than next level messed up.
