[X] Foment Rebellion
[X] Feat: Shameless

Also in lieu of the favored Feat, some shilling for the negaverse quest.

Everyone voting for Fighting Viktor. smh.(Fore) Bear of a Man he is, with that axe that can crush Rotspawns like they were paper. Closest thing Nine has to an older brother. His teacher. The guy who practically adopted him. As most xianxia cultivators would say: "YOU UNFILIAL DOG." Sure, it gets you an additional pick for the next build vote but damn boi. Nine better survive.

Remember that you can always employ the Joestar Secret Technique, but its effectivity will vary. Won't it be more interesting to live out in the wild? Run away? Build your own future away from the mercenaries? Even The Benefactor seems to think so!

Plus, we get counter-caster and ninja support, which could be very useful against the Inner Temple's upper echelon. As of right now they may be only vaguely aware Gisena exists, and utterly ignorant of Aeira. A stealth character is exponentially more dangerous when the enemy doesn't know she's operating in the area, and exponentially more dangerous than that when the enemy doesn't even know your side has a stealther.
Yknow, I think this is an excellent point that we've overlooked. We just went in incredibly loud, and if we choose to ferment a wide-scale rebellion, we're almost certainly going to draw the attention of the Immortals onto us and our followers.

What if we used this opportunity to send Aeira in to steal the Ring away from its protections? We don't have to do everything on our own, after all, and she's specced for stealth!

In particular, here's a full plan: cut a hole through the dome, announce our presence loudly and obviously, saying that we call the Council and the Immortals to a diplomatic summit; that we're responsible for the end of the Call, and we protest both their societies iniquities and its exploitations; that we're here to offer them a better way; that we're offering no strings attached enhancement, particularly lifespan enhancement, with no concern for draconian limits on life.
If we're lucky, this will force the Immortals into an impossible political quandary: they can either cut down a generous gift, or come out (and leave the ring unguarded) for this meeting... both of which may well leave the Ring fairly unattended, particularly since they have *no idea* of our companions.

[X] Foment Rebellion
[X] Vigor Incarnate

I can't believe people are not taking Vigor incarnate. Its so disgustingly powerful, which should be obvious considering its available due to + progression. It increases our charisma while giving us shit ton of protection. It's great for both convincing people to join us and fighting.

And, it also probably opens up even more overpowered and efficient Blood picks.

+Rank also provides protection against everything. Convincing people is taken care by the stance. We will always have the Vigor Incarnate as a pick but feats are one time thing. Remember that we kinda need Magic-Defeating Stance and that costs 7 Arete. I consider +Rank and Vigor to be about the same in power but one is free. We will take it later of course

Rank also does that, while also giving protection against esoteric abilities and helping us find people and direct them to the best possible effect! It's also much harder to acquire than Vigor, since it needs a battle with a appropriate foe. The opportunity cost for missing this here is quite high!

If Hunger can sense blood for far miles, and he could feel Avecarn's resistance, he might use that to find strong targets and snipe them with Fall of Wind, bleeding them out if necessary. For more distant targets, we might not be able to see the bladewind, but we can track it by the blood splatter! Evil, but metal.

He can't sense that far anymore, he 'compressed' all the power into only affecting his immediate vicinity and now it's stabilized in that form.

Well, she's specced for combat now, actually...

Rank Protection relies on us being the one with greater rank. While Vigor incarnate protection works to some degree despite that.

Our great weakness right now is our shitty defense (which for the most part relies on blood regeneration), Vigor incarnate partially closes that hole.

She doesn't have enough stealth to do it anyway?

I don't think it solely relies on higher Rank, but even then better Rank is better blood buffing and debuffing! That can be quite a lot.
The salt production facilities never stop.
Hey, she can actually join us in our little demonstration now! That's good, isn't it?

"The Middle Temple, as it turned out, was cleanly delineated by a towering range of mountains, tempest-laden spines of snow-capped stone that ringed the entire region."

Arete for the Arete throne!

Hm. The problem is, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't leave the Ring completely unguarded by hero units, plus there are almost certainly passive defenses and wards. At least some of which will be counter-stealth. And we have assassin-specced Aeira, not thief-specced Aeira. It could work, but we'd be gambling with her life at potentially bad odds.

Rank Protection relies on us being the one with greater rank. While Vigor incarnate protection works to some degree despite that.
Eh. Increasing your rank actually still helps when you have lesser rank. Because it still reduces the size of the debuffs being applied to your defense, and the buffs applied to the enemy's offense.

Vigor incarnate adds around +++++++++++(9-11) Charisma to our protection, if the character sheet is right. That's so damn broken...

Mmmh, if we were to Cut rather than Foment Rebellion I think What Rains May Come is especially good. It turns any attempt at a battle of attrition against them, and picks up the tempo the more we're damaged (and we can control how much we're damaged thanks to our regen not simply being a passive thing) rather than the opposite, not giving our enemies any real chance of respite. It also grants us an immediate power boost thanks to Chief Dominion, "benefiting" from the wound that has been dealt this fight (and a fist through the gut is not exactly a minor wound) even if we have already healed it completely.

He can't sense that far anymore, he 'compressed' all the power into only affecting his immediate vicinity and now it's stabilized in that form.

When did this happen? Is this an effect of crimson flare? Does this mean we cannot expand the range of our blood abilities anymore? Or that it will just take longer/we will have to work at it?

But if we aren't planning on Cutting through, I believe a more general boost is better; a rebellion has many moving parts, all of them enhanced by Rank!
