Yes, but doesn't taking Foment Rebellion mean we don't rescue the Ring immediately and try for a slower victory instead? We need something to show them that being on our side is worth it. And we don't need to fully use the inefficient version of Ennobling on anyone, just show some of its effects as proof.

Taking no personal power here seems pretty horrible. That just leaves even more vulnerable to the backlash of giving up the killing blow that's inherent in the choice. Rank or Vigor seem like the picks for Foment.

[X] Foment Rebellion
[X] Vigor Incarnate

We just took a option that increases charisma. Taking Vigor Incarnate would be fairily synergetic. Big power boost+Higher win odds.

[X] Foment Rebellion
[X] Vigor Incarnate
[X] Feat: Shameless

I'm torn between which of these two as the safest options. I'll probably conform to whichever formalAI picks, but for now i am sleepy & also I don't want to miss out on the opportunity to provoke an avalanche of Vigor Votes

I thought Fomenting Rebellion was about finding allies to shore up our position? Getting more personal power seems more up Cut's alley.

We could have an Immortal strike team inbound within the hour as they get their house in order. We don't really have any sort of guarantee there's a big window for us to leisurely rally up support. We need personal power as a hedge so we live long enough to peel off defectors.

We buff them -> they go back to consider things -> the buffs disappear

They don't get to go back would be my position, once you're on team Hunger it's to the bitter end. We're not just going to sit around here while they consider their options. There's a chance to get on the winning team and you better take it now because it's not coming round again should be the approach I think.

I can't believe we threw the poor dude's arm at his own energy blast as a defense...
Really got to... hand it... to Hunger.
[X] Foment Rebellion
[X] Ennobling

A social roll fails and suddenly it's all 'the thread can't into tactics, so we should just Cut everything'. Cut is a great option, make no mistake, and there's value in exploiting a presented window of opportunity. But abandoning part of what makes Hunger so great, his cunning and guile, which we've even shored up last vote, doesn't sit right with me.

Will probably still switch to Cut and Shameless if Ennobling doesn't gather enough momentum, because I'm not sure what the plan behind trying to Foment Rebellion without having a carrot is.
the power to suppress or enliven the blood of any living being, augmenting or reducing its physical and spiritual might
I may be wrong, but couldn't we pass our blood buffs off as evidence of ennobling capacity? Many of the latter's benefits are only evident over long periods of time anyway. This seems similar to what you were suggesting (short term inferior ennobling) while enabling other picks.

I think Rank is better not only becuase it still help our recriutment effeorts, but it make the very circumstances align in our favor! All that with more combat power. Remember, Rank is the godstat.

We are going to attacking everywhere though and we can get Gisena and Aeira to contribute too; It's slower but it won't be slow. I don't think they would wait much on a Immortal counter attack anyway. Besides, their civilization is built on the exploitation of a Ring; they don't need to be convinced it's good.

Attack, but do so in a way that demonstrates your power and the inevitability of your victory.
More power=better results.

Cut Through the shell of the Inner Temple and leave a huge hole in it symbolically while buffing people in a huge radius. While flying because why not. At this point I'm more thinking of cool ways to flex, but that's like 40% of the job anyway.

Evening Sky-based propaganda? You've been dimming my stars and I'm not at all pleased by it. We're not strong enough to pull off a proper "you have angered the gods" lol, but basically that.

Let a few attacks bounce off of our Protection? Nah, that's asking for trouble.

Oh! Fuck me, we have some of their classified documents, surely we can take more by force or Aeira, spread all around all the information the higher ups want to keep secret. Information wants to be free, you totalitarian jerkwads! An actually good idea maybe! (Edit: Not at the same time of the lulzy lie plans, obviously)

Houston, we might have a problem. Unless you're planning to follow them around and surreptitiously maintaining the buff, which would be hilarious in its own way.
Depends on the range and the time scale we're working on. I assumed the option was to go around rabblerousing bringing our recruits with us to gather more recruits until we snowball into success. Then we can just keep the buffs up as we go.

Been lazy today, all i have is this WIP for Hunger

can't cut through cleanly without more arete
more, more, MORE
My favourite part is his eye.

Maybe we can win against the immortal if we just pick quickening three times?

I mean we almost one hit kill the marshall with even more agility then even immortal get higher rank then we can cut them down quickly.

Speed is what we need in cut and finish one immortal before other immortal join them.

Hmm, well, I guess we can just feed them promises for now, that's how most revolutions work anyway.

In that case, can't quite decide between Shameless and Vigor Incarnate. Vigor is lots of useful STATS for the plan ahead, but I'm tickled by the Feat we'd just gotten and what it says about Hunger. It even rhymes with Nameless! Wonder what kind of amazing Advancements it would open up.

Age&Treachery + Apex + Shameless = ???

Now you're just making it personal.

[J] Feat: Shameless

How much time left before the Temple Ring dies? Shatters? Loses everything outside of the power it gave to Hunger? Or any rough equivalent to it being dead.

How long will this rebellion last? Will it be in time? Will there be enough worthwhile dissenters to open up a usable path for Hunger?

Are we going into full trauma mode? Some Tyrant analogue to fight against before we can free the ring?

Just some stuff I don't think I've been able to process so far just yet.

I am not sure whether ++Charisma will be better for Rebellion than +0.325 Rank, which does help with social. But, in my eyes more importantly, we really need to start picking +Rank options. They come from Feats, which means they are always pick now or never. They will always compete with more permanent options, but if we always pick those, Hunger will remain a Ranklet until suicidal feats. Alternative means of earning Rank seem rather in the future.

It's tempting but we already have 1 Fierce Quickening. So can only take 2. Maybe 2 Fierce Quickenings and Dominion(War) would work for Cut, I have no idea at this point.

Vigor gives CHA for scamming peasants into the rebellion, MIGHT for swording and Protecc for not dying! Such value. Plus synergy with Edeldross Adept! Plus it completely clashes with our build!

[X] Foment Rebellion

Going with this for now, it would be nice for Hunger to be able to bring something good to this whole situation and if done properly and openly he will be remembered a long time. While their society was paradisiacal in amenities and quality of life, the documents And observations of it we have imply it was rotting in spirit and quite rigid. It was a thing built on both the suffering of the ring and the bloodshed of those drawn by it, and while what we are doing is not unambiguously a good thing perhaps something good can be made of it considering the serious costs their way of life imposed upon others. Maybe we can leave behind a society that while not possessed of the same quality of life and power, is one that is more dynamic and alive than it has ever been since it's founding. It might not have the same advantages as cutting through but I think it is worth it, both for the sake of Hunger and to spread our fame for more rank.

Also, Vigor can be gotten at any 2-pick spend points, while Feats are dependent on having worthy enemies! You can't even say it would be worse at the rebellion than Vigor, because Rank is amazing and does literally everything! We are finally at 5 Rank now, don't you all want to put that Uttermost bonus to use? We far more opportunities to get picks than opportunities to get Rank!

Rank does all that and more! Incredible; how could we have passed up on so many of these things!?

How Dominions work from Arete Expansions for the people who may have forgotten.

Dominion - 2 Arete

A ring of power does not exert influence casually. It has its own will, its own preferences, and if that will should be inseparable from its owner's, its sway thereby shall be greater for it.

Select a domain of influence. While acting within its domain, [Ring of Power] effects are substantially less taxing and more potent; the effects of this can be abstracted as follows: treat the owner's Rank as if it somewhat* higher for related actions. You may select this advancement multiple times, choosing a different domain each time. If multiple domains apply, their bonuses do not compound.

*+0.5 if Low, +.25 if Mid, +.1 if High.

The available domains for Hunger are: War, Passion, Life.

War - Applies to any conflict with real and serious stakes
Passion - Applies whenever in the throes of a powerful passion, or to inflame the passions of others
Life - Applies to the manipulation, augmentation, or restoration of biology or life-force
