Look, who wouldn't want to deflect supernovas with their punch or humiliate Villain Haxxor McCheater by toying with all their haxes with our hands? Our body is also the best defense there is! It's not degenerate if it's working!

Well, even with increased Charisma the Tyrant's Doom is a pretty major impediment to social interaction. As soon as someone hits one of your red lines it'll be difficult not to be seen as rude. Of course, if you have the power to back that up it may not matter. Kind of like being Malfeas!
Are we allowed to explain that Curse of not being able to accept authority to our companions, or does it block it somehow? Mainly asking because at least they might be more understanding of our assholery when we do so.

Ofc, that doesn't really help with everyone else in the world, considering they won't preemptively know, but that's why it is a Curse after all.

I know I mouthed off Catherine saying she was just a copy of Suizhen, but you all liked Suizhen, Right? Why don't we make a relationship like that an important part of the quest?

Don't you all remember how insufferable Gisena was in the original AST? Why subject our Hero to that when he can have Catherine's supportive presence instead?
But most importantly:
"Thank you," he said, as it turned to leave. "I'll pay you back one day."

The Accursed raised an eyebrow, slight amusement in its eye. "See that you do."
Pay forward the Accursed's gift.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let's give the opportunity we had to others!

A moment of humanity on the part of a cosmic monstrosity that for whatever reason I don't fully understand is making me draw connections to Baenlixnaire and nameless.
"...And see to it that we are avenged."

"No matter the cost," swore the boy, blinking away tears.

"Yes," said the lich. "No matter the cost."

Elder lich or child of Yong, it mattered not. Perhaps that, too, was an agreement between men.

It's a relatively piddling detail, but are the Hero's missing eye and arm on the same side of the body, or on opposite sides?

I was planning on just having the Remittance restore a good fraction of the Hero's previous power. That's why he's so strong in this update - Accreted Rank or Seal-buffed physical stats.

Do either Power support restoring the Hero's missing body parts?

Kind of thought Accretion would be support to whatever we pick as our Primary. I'm thinking Seven Seals sounds like the more interesting system to really go deep on.

A pang struck him at the sight of that second giant, as if the marrow in his bones had gained magnetic charge, to orient now in its direction. There was an affinity between them, not that of friends, not quite allies, but... a sense of camaraderie, as if in all of the vast, lonely universe they were the only two of their kind.
Wait a goddamn minute. Is this another Cursebearer?

So is this what, 5th Seal if a 7 Seals build wins? 6th Seal? Having random shower thoughts wondering if there are only 7 per person or if the name is a misnomer because the system can be jailbroken for more power.

He only reached the 5th Seal before he fought the Tyrant, so high 3rd Seal maybe. Raw power =/= technical ability in Sealing, so, for example, one could have very powerful but simplistic 1st Seals able to absorb a lot of mass-energy, but not from many different types of attacks. Or very carefully articulated and complex 5th Seals with esoteric effects, but very low impact of said effects. Both attributes must be studiously developed to fully capture the potential of this Soul Evocation!

Well that explains us Curbstomping the Hyenas. Not sure what my thoughts are on Cutting off the Head as a vote option at the moment

What are your thoughts on Free +Charisma?

Yes, you can explain it to anyone, but you probably won't want to because you don't give a shit about their customs or authority. And if you do, they're unlikely to believe you or will just think you're crazy and/or unreasonable. To some degree, they're right!

Hm... someone with the Doom of Rivalry's unlikely, this might be another hero. Apparently Shinji (real name pending, same as it is for our man) got in the robot. What does it even mean, for 'hero' to be a position with ontological import, an objective category? Was Caroline the hero from Terrascape? Was Control one, upon his initial summoning? It'd be interesting to meet a counterpart but we're going to need the charisma badly, since this is a conquest mission and we have Doom of the Tyrant. If he's a hero, surely he'll prevail while we save the citizenry. That's not abandoning an ally, just efficient distribution of labor.

I'm enticed and going for it. We're going to need it especially with a Twice-Great Build given Catherines lower social rating compared to Gisena. Not sure if we've got the same social restrictions on our progression cursebearer existence or not as Seram but thinking about it more makes me think let's not pass this up if it is.

How many of Rihaku's characters (on SV) are one-armed?!

Same.

Seven Seals has more depth and practical utility, Accretion requires much less prep and has broad, powerful effects. It also provides an all-purpose defense against most forms of attack or hostile entanglement.

Wait a goddamn minute. Is this another Cursebearer?

Well, there's one way to find out... but it may cost you free Charisma!

So, uh, getting mitigation Decimator's curse is probably going to be important. This is merely an assumption that 'human' means 'lives roughly 100 years' which could certainly be untrue in this setting, but given a 10% loss a new born baby would be running empty before their 18th birthday if left within our range for that long. Noooooot the best conditions to rule over for 50 years, though that's a concern for down the road.

Seriously, outside of some moments in EFB, we never had a mentor-type character before. It'd be something interesting to play. Plus, now that we have power and therefore safety, we can afford to take some long-term options. Catherine is literally the last descendant of a long lost lineage and is implied to meet a gruesome fate if we don't pick her. She is likely to be an incredibly big deal in-setting, and we want that stat.

Makes fighting that wurm seem a lot more appealing.

Well, guess the one plan that doesn't take a form of Curse Mitigation.

(Hint: It rhymes with smuscle swizard)

It's been awhile, so not really. I remember her mostly as the bearer of bad news, followed by being a nihilistic tease when we were in the middle of trying to save a doomed kingdom.

The readers are into Marvin the robot. The characters in the scene would like him to shut up instead.

And now I'm remembering some extent of taking advantage of Hunger is necessary for Twice Great to get the maximum mitigation possible out of Seven Seals given Decimator's Affliction.

Worlds, times and circumstances may change, and yet our mission remains the same. There is the evil to vanquish, and we shall rise to the occasion.

My build, split in two. How cruel!

I prefer the call of Accretion more though, so let's go with that. Besides, we are just about to fight giant dragon snake dog bio titan, so we should make some use of Hunger, yeah? Do note that getting Gisema is of absolute priority right now:
Conquer at least nine-tenths of the Human Sphere and rule for a period of no less than fifty contiguous years. Time limit: twenty-five hundred years.
Gisena will have dual purpose of reducing our curses and ruling our domain. Notice how we specifically have to conquer "Human Sphere"? That would imply existence of others Spheres, so we can just make sure we are spending most our time there - both because killing stuff will go along well with Hunger, and because we will life draining shit outside of our kingdom.

Also, Rihaku, will we have different vote for our main power, or will it be automatically decided by this vote?

You know, is it possible that the affinity we feel isn't towards the pilot but the robot itself? After all, Progression means supreme talent in all fields, and that includes piloting giant robots...

Edit: Get out of the robot, Catherine, I'll show you how it's done!
