I wonder if, instead of making blood work in our other forms, we make our other forms work in our base form? Merge the spirit with the flesh, make the blood essence itself, the bridge between the essential and the real. EFB at least had the 10BP Palimpsest and Distillation which did things along those lines.

Do it for the cutest gal in the world, thread. Do it for Letrizia. Her childhood dreams were shattered but that doesn't mean her adulthood ambitions must be too.

Argument time!
We should be looking for three things: Immediate Goals, Build Synergies, and Long-Term Goals!
*A thing that fits all three is Survival! Since we don't have a phylactery right now, everything relies on us not being dead!
*Another thing that fits all three is Power! It's not as critical as survival, though, because we're a Progression-type! As long as we aren't dead, power will come in time!
*On to specific vote evaluations:
-Once again, why on earth does no-one vote for going to The Encampment? It has a much better chance of multiplicative powerup than Hunting or Breaching! I guess the merchants were icky, but this is very possibly our option with the best long-term survival chance! Danger: Possible, but neither high nor likely! Rewards: Minions! They won't be super powerful, but our build is excellent for buffing! And they'll have more utility abilities, which is an area where we're severely lacking! Useful short term, possibly also useful long-term. Might be able to learn stuff from them even if they can't personally keep up. Synergies: Ring of Blood, Charisma, Our Entire Build (since we lack versatility). Arguments Against: Danger isn't certain, those merchants were kinda icky. Also, no-one voted for them and they're no longer an option anymore!
-Hunting is both bland and not very strong. Also, it's been eliminated! That said, I hope giving it at least an overview will give me Argument Points! Danger: Smallish. Offset by the fact that it's synonymous with better rewards! Rewards: Combat power. Synergies: Our previous vote was good at fighting! Arguments Against: Less reward than Breach The Middle, somewhat bland!
-Breaching is popular, but risky! Danger: Moderate to severe - those combat options carry unknown risks. Rewards: Medium-low to medium-high! Chance of a Defining Advancement worth its' restrictions. Chance of getting not all that much! Also, we get to see Fall of Night in action, and it looks cool. Synergies: Previous vote made us better at combat. Arguments Against: Previous vote made us better at combat - at the cost of our safety net! If we want to live to be seven octillion, we need to be very careful about risk management! Even one-in-ten-hundred-thousand-million-billion-trillion death chances will get us eventually, if we let them!
-Buffing Gisena is happy, and competitive powerwise! Danger: Any immediate danger would almost certainly kill Letrezia if we weren't there to help! Long-term danger is comparable to Hunting! If you're scared of this, you really should have picked Encampment! Rewards: Happy Cute Social Time! Mad Science! Sorcery Lore! Less Stress! Also, advances Super Undead Juggernaut Chimera! A really cool mystery-box that probably helps with Final Form and finally getting magic! We could be a necromancer-gish, and our Forms would actually be worthwhile! Also, Gisena probably needs to come with us to beat the Inner Temple, so this isn't ceding momentum so much as shoring up what might be a considerably slower process otherwise! Synergies: Ring of Blood! Safety! Super Undead Juggernaut Chimera! Gisena Stuff! The plan a lot of us voted for! Arguments Against: It's Not What Our Previous Vote Chains In To. Less fight scenes, in favor of mad science? If that's a downer for you.

Omake for Buffing Gisena incoming.

Update in 10 - 20. Let's get to the next page before then!

Evening came. Letrizia had retreated into Verschlengorge to rest, while Gisena meditated quietly beside the campfire, legs crossed in the lotus position. Instincts honed through years of supernatural warfare alerted him to the gathering of mystical force. He rose, blade in hand, scanning the horizon.

"Oh, did I startle you?" Gisena's eyes opened. "Sorry! I'm close to a breakthrough right now."

"Warn me first," he admonished, sitting back down. "I thought we had more teleporters incoming."

She laughed, scooting next to him. "If that'd been the case I would have warned you!"

"So, a breakthrough."

She nodded. "I've got to keep up, or you'll be all by your lonesome. Lucky for you I'm so smart."

"Just me, Letrizia, and Verschlengorge. All alone."

"Yup! But don't worry, I think I've grasped a new aspect to the nature of findross. If I'm correct, the Foremost utilized it as well. Letrizia's work has been quite helpful on the matter."

"Really?" He looked at her, eyes wide.

She giggled. "Curious now? I wonder what you'll give to know... ?"

Oh shit. That bumps Total Eclipse a few notches in my preference list. I think the Accretion-Soul Evocation-Sorcery-Ring(?) cluster of magics have a lot of important commonalities and I expect we'll learn a bit more about that, the nature of an Astral shadow and the power of the soul if we chose to delve into Foremost lore. Definitely something to look into.

Hm, looks like buff won despite the last minute surge! Hopefully Exalted Spirit won alongside it so we can get the best possible breakthrough, though I was quite disappointed by the -Heartlessness baked into the option. How are we supposed to imitate the Forebear without maxing out Heartless Might?!

Huh, I wonder if the sally was too late. This wouldn't happen if you just warned when you called the vote @Rihaku...!

Also, the Foremost used findross too? That's even weirder, I thought that was exclusive to the Manifest Realm. How many magic systems did these guys pilfer?

They may have simply used a material that is identical for the metaphysical purposes of catalyzing Sorcerous Advancement.

Then again, the Voyaging Realm is designed to be a dumping ground for all sorts of shit from across the multiverse, so it wouldn't surprise me if there is actual no shit accept-no-substitutes findross around if we looked hard enough.

Findross has a lot of useful attributes, particularly in the heuristics department. It makes things more of what they should be. Better, faster, stronger, and so on. Even the most impractical outfits become combat-viable, the rough edges are sanded from reality, highly-saturated land takes on the properties of an Impressionist painting. We saw a couple Graces from Lady Emerald and Sylvie harness that last phenomenon. I'm... surprised to hear it's not Manifest Realm-exclusive? Maybe more than I should be; if the Accursed influenced our destination so we'd land in a world that quantified Accretion, he could've done the same with Gisena.

Ugh. My head. So many words. Not enough chimken.

This is the problem of being on a different time zone than majority of the arguing class.

Well, this is Rihakuverse, where everyone is superhardcore.

Naturally, the local variation of Forerunner race are just something else entirely.

I wouldn't be so sure, I think Gisena's breakthrough was coming regardless, the only difference Buff made was to the efficacy and speed of her advancements. Hunger might well just leave and go murder people after this when he realises how much time it'll take.

Sounds like all these magical system potentially form a Thrice-Great-like synergy.

Definitely. At the very least, I think we could expect something extremely fucky if we ever get Total Eclipse + Ruling Ring. Both are extremely broad effects, the former filled with a million and one different abilities and the latter applying a level of conceptual superiority to all of our actions. Together, they could have some strange and extremely interesting synergies, especially if ++Progression applied to the results.

Now that I think about it, a substance that makes things more idealized should have amazing synergy with something like Accretion that gains powers through embodying legend. Maybe findross guards the secret for easier Rank gains?
