TBH, Dog of War probably could solve the Terminator problem rn, simply by being fast enough. With That Much rank and Speed, running around and looking for Terminator "on foot" becomes a viable proposition.

We may not have to manually search. We could always try the summon we called to get info on Augustine. If the terminator is weak enough we could probably just go straight to his location and kill him.

[X] Dog of War
Addio reached in from the vote-severing realm to note that Dog of War is threefold, again, and I'm filled with such shame for missing that advancement that I must accept Apocalyptic reprisal.

Counting on Cursebearer grade-threat not being immune to Divination is kind of dangerous, tbh.
True but it wouldn't kill us to try. Hunger said so himself this update when he was trying to get back the platinum. If it doesn't work we lose a bit of time and Arete. If it does a serious problem is dealt with quickly.

Testing to see if the Terminator has divination-resistance by having Gisena truth-seek with her ring first, before spending 7 arete on it, would probably be smart.

By the way is there anything we can do for Versch and his decimation? After all the effort we've put into Hunger not taking away the life force of everything around him I'm not too keen on letting unmitigated decimation run loose.

Oh yeah. If we pick up Dog of War, it should be ~trivial for us to slay Rank 10 Astral Sovereigns to feed Versch.

Invest in Blood Advancements and the power of the ring. Have voted for Ambrosial Tinge an update or two ago. It's a good thing we got Honing. It would have been even better if we had gotten Exalted Spirit too.

We're going to need those Ring advancements to make up for all the people getting decimated from Verschlengorge. Or get Verschlengorge some meals. Or something. We aren't getting this Armament with Heroic Crimson Flare to help clean up our mess.

Getting Companions is gonna be kinda hilarious in story. Not long after Letrizia gives that exposition dump about how Armaments are strategically important beyond their combat strength, Hunger decides to randomly just make his entire party capable of fulfilling those functions, seemingly pulling that power right out of his ass.

Adding literally any of these Armament options on top of that makes it even funnier, I think. But, I think that Dog has the purest taste of Sheer Escalation. In Nilfel, our elite are like your Armaments, and our Armament is even more Armament-y than yours!

That does bring up the question of whether having that 'worthy opponent' slaughtered and chopped into cutlets, fried and served with rice makes it not a real worthy opponent anymore.

You know if I had known we would be getting a new Armament I would have doubled down on becoming a pirate. Even more so if it's dog of war. While I'm not arrogant enough to think we would be able to steamroll the Empire and Republic even without Apoc butting in, we would have had a lot less to fear from them.
