The push to return to the Human Sphere is based on a superstition that returning in 2 months is safe but 3 months is not.
To clarify its not that I think two months is safe but three is not. It's that, since the masterminds would take that into account, two months is not safe and already planned for, three months is worse. Showing up after a month is better than both.

Getting ADS right now is a terrible idea. If the biggest attractor of Breach is the opportunity to get Once and Future immediately, spending on A-DS to guarantee victory is pretty ???. Like, why not just vote for Gisena at that point, it's 14 Arete cheaper and basically as effective! It's just so pointless. I'd actually prefer taking the lump than spending on A-DS, that'd just be so bad. If you want win, take the options with the best chance of victory, not whatever this Breach plus A-DS plan even is right now. Just, why?

Well, if my first choice had been destroyed by the Curse of Cut Through, I suppose Into the Breach is the next alternative. I don't know what our chances in these negotiations are, but at least we'll get a consolation prize of +1 Arete, and thus one step closer to OaF? Let's see if our social muscles are up to the task.

[X] Into the Breach
[X] The Long Voyage

The vote may have closed already (?) but I think it is helpful to know how the omake power stands. Image counts don't really seem to be informative so i'm going back to only wordcounts.

You'll notice that despite the vote-lead for Priority Two, The Long Voyage has a pretty substantial lead in fan-content from the last few updates.

The vote won't close until some time tomorrow, as that's when I'll write the remainder of the update dependent on it! You guys still have plenty of time to decide on which course you'd like to see Hunger pursue, and if you'd like to get All-Defeating Stance in the event that Into the Breach wins!

For all that Hunger lavishes attention upon the Forebear's Blade, he certainly does suffer from a dearth of Cutting Through! How unseemly!

Just get time travel and your problems are solved! If only you had the Regalia now...

There is something to be said for getting ADS and its considerable immediate power out of the way before any further distractions arise... it's Apocryphal mitigation which is best to get ASAP after all!

Speaking of, I wonder just how common a choice it is among Progression-type Cursebearers to take time travel. Would sure be annoying if our enemy knew every detail of our development...

Not taking immediate power? They'll blow charges on surviving the entry!

Also, remember that Hunger (and all other Cursebearers) retains his memories when affected by Remittance-based time travel...

So I realized something about luck. We have Fall of Night giving us a 10 percent chance of Critting on attacks(3x Harm, Half again power of ruin). Could boosting luck raise our Critical Strike rate?

we talked about this at some point; I don't remember whether Rihaku chimed in.
However, one idea I remember from then is that the crits could be more timely even if they're still 10%. So more important attacks will crit and fewer unimportant ones

If I was writing this quest for real I would simply integrate the Labours into things you'd already be doing; it's essentially a difficulty modifier. It would also be an opportunity to introduce some things I want you to see in a diagetic way, which I think is useful. These Curse write-ups are long enough I kind of don't like putting all the details in one go, but it might be necessary given different interpretations. I know how I would both play and write the Geas, and that might be causing some miscommunication. But even still, what are the odds you keep getting day-long tasks for a week straight? Given infinite time I'm certain there will be a year where you will be given nothing but day-long tasks, but I'm also certain that year will not be the first one of the quest.
What about this phrasing, then?
[ ] Geas of Labor - The doom of the understimulated. At all times, you must be on some errand; at all times, it must be a challenge worthy of your skill. By default this will be chosen from tasks you are already attempting, but if you aren't doing anything that could reasonably become a Labor, one will be provided for you. Labors will typically be short-term, highly discrete tasks with a timeframe of no more than a month.
If you fail to complete a Labor in time, you will lose nine-tenths of your current power and a longer Labor will be assigned, which would restore that power on completion. If you fail three Labors in a row, you will die beyond the possibility of resurrection.

This is mechanically different, somewhat more flexible on your end, and a lot more reliable on the quester end - basically, failing a Labor is slightly less harsh than having one's Fetich destroyed, but easier to fall in to.

Thoughts?

Looks like Priority Two vs the Long Voyage will be the primary point of contention here! Priority Two offers flexibility in action, while the Long Voyage grants mechanical power while helping Hunger come to terms with his past... but is now really the time for such actions?
