This set of voting options I wouldn't mind horribly much regardless of what wins (Well, if it doesn't kill us). Reaper definitely isn't popular though, a bit surprised.

Did... did the Armature speak Truth!

That is rad as all get out.

I almost wonder if the patron might have been the Nameless one from the Even Further Beyond or some poor Hero.

Truth blue is #0080ff. This is #99ccff, the Endless Sky's hex code. What if anything that means, I've no clue.
Clearly, the Endless Sky is Zang Kong's attempted aping of the Progression Cursebearer, growth without limit or surcease. These Mechas are like monsters of the Progression Cursebearer's overgrowth.

The Foremost, then, are a Cursebearer who wandered here and built a mitigation system before leaving. Since he/she was a nice dude, they also included a benefits package for other Cursebearers. How nice!

If we can style all over Letrizia in social combat this badly then think how fucking amazing Hunger'll be with Evening Sky? That puts us at like Gisena level, minimum. Plus it defends against everything.

Well, +Charisma is simplified somewhat; the actual effect is a boost to physical appearance and raw presence, so the hero would be more attractive / authoritative / commanding, but not necessarily any better at manipulating people. He would be considerably better than Gisena at things like staring down an enemy or making foes cower, but not any better at witty comebacks, for example. But yes, the halo effect would certainly smooth the way for Hunger in many social situations, at least when they don't consider him an offensive superstimulus!

Wait do we get to fight the fish after catching it?! Fisher King just keeps getting better!

You'd got to fight the fish to catch it! Haven't you read The Old Man And the Sea!?

Only one option doesn't leave us tired or exhausted/in Arete Debt right now. Exhaustion combined with lack of substantial power gain? With random encounters?
It's a pity. I could countenance tired but exhaustion is inexcusable.

Hmm, if King-fishing gives us Rank up that then might help provoke a Coalescence boost to Gisena which would make our subsequent weakening less dangerous. A lot of maybes involved in that though.

Helping Gisena Coalesce might have something to do with getting a locale bonus for Accretion and giving it properties similar to the Manifest Realm. Easier with Rank, but... probably not going to happen here? The +Gisena's curious, though.

Man, I had a reaction for Times and Tides ready for before the update, but it was lost to a tragic copy-paste accident and now my motivation is shot. Oh well.

Changed my mind. Since we are committed to analyzing the Devourer, further mitigation has a chance to be redundant. This gives us some immediate power for safety and helps us grow stronger over time thanks to Slumber, while removing one of it's greatest weaknesses. An option of incredible power, to say the least.

Seriously, now that we know that they apparently already made peace with living with the Decimator's Affliction and that the Armaments are indeed connected to Curbearers, mitigation of Decimator became far less of a priority. If they hunt us down, it's because we would be an interesting specimen, not because of the damage we'd cause. So we'd need power to deal with that. More Charisma like Evening Sky could be helpful, but that option seems to have less returns compared to this. Taking Slumber of Aeons as early as possible is also a great investment in terms of stats.

Since we have free Arete with this option, Fisherman becomes more attractive; we'd get a mystery box, whatever the Legendary Fish gives us, and more importantly wouldn't be Tired or Exhausted. This vote combination is the one that powers us most comprehensively, in my opinion.

Eh, with the power gained from Lord Reaper / Evening Sky, being Exhausted would still leave you net power positive for the duration of the Condition, and much better off once it expires.

Most likely progress to a rank up. Not a rank up directly, that would make Unshattered just pointless.

Unshattered would have offered more than one Rank Up!

Why stop at incremental advancement when Sorcerous Evolution is on the table? The power of Progression knows no bounds!

You don't know for certain, as Letrizia is not exactly a representative member of their society. And you did tell her that your Curse had receded.

So we'd need power to deal with that. More Charisma like Evening Sky could be helpful, but that option seems to have less returns compared to this.

Both Lord Reaper and Evening Sky have better immediate power and long-term growth than El Stats, once Exhausted wears off. Only natural since they cost more Arete!

Charisma, the most important stat when dealing with hidden masters and a society whose rules you will flagrantly disobey for the sake of a Curse! Employ a powerful suite of resistances to status effects, allowing us to focus on big, climactic, battles and ignoring all the small stuff like poison and mental interference! Imagine how terrible it would be to die to the Apocryphal Curse because we had no means of fighting back against a stray hallucination or Three Gods Slaying Black Flag Poison slipped into our delicious grilled fish lunch! In interesting times, the most important defense is a multi-dimensional, redundant, and effective one! Vote for Star-Cloaked Shroud today!

Eh unless we need the charisma boost immediately I would not take the Evening Sky as Slumber gives it too at lower rates compared to the Might stat. It's a great defensive and social option in short term though.

Oof, that makes it way more tempting.

I think this is the way to go. Since it's still a gain in power that makes me more confident between it and any fishing rewards we won't slip behind the Apocryphal much and should be able to last long enough for the experience benefits to start kicking in.

It's also probably the best fishing build!

You'll also get a free used car Armament! What a steal!

But is it the best build for posing with your catch?
