As if Hunger will ever have a chance to slow down and actually develop Graces!
Even Praxis training barely managed to edge a win and that was before we saw the Arete costs. I doubt we will ever properly sit down and develop Graces when we can SORD better or gather Rings like our name Thanos.

To develop the reasons why I don't want Keepin' it Simple a bit: it'll deprive us of Rank gains if we fail to stop the buffed Rotbeast before it destroy the Sovereignty, and if we do stop it... the option warns us that we might end up as enemies of the Empire. You know, the Empire which is one of the Three major factions in the Human Sphere and who own quite a number of Armaments. Having a faction with Armaments on its side as our enemy, when we are orders of magnitudes weaker than an Armament, would be absolutely awful.

I agree! Let's Just Shoot Ber! No point in dawdling, especially if the Rotbeast fight risks a complication

Decimator: Mako energy
Illwinter: Obvious
Indenture: Plot Armor
Champion: Loyalty System
Lunacy: War form
Wretched: Fell power
Martyr: Heroic power
Slumber is probably something similar to the sleep powers we get from the Ring? Become stronger as you sleep etc.
But plot armor from Indenture is kind of surprising, would have expected some kind of travel powers within the world. I guess we harness our narrative role?

The more Curses I read, the more I think he totally lost his struggle against whoever cursed him, and the omniverse he putters around in doing whatever he does is some kind of cunningly created illusion designed to imprison him unaware while The Cursers attempt to research some way to unmake him without a costly prolonged fight.

Like, that's almost certainly been contradicted a million times in the collected Rihaku canon, but it all rings to me more like a protracted hell built for the Accursed rather than him struggling to shuck off 'injuries' taken in a broadly successful campaign.

Curses are formidable, but the Accursed is more powerful still! A hornet sting may be unsurvivable to a fellow insect but be nothing more than an inconvenience to a human. Similarly a being who is more powerful than reason or logic can find many ways around any individual ailment.

It's okay, you just gotta get your own Armament! Ideally in the form of a Fish...

Maybe Slumber's power lets us induce sleep in others! If everyone's asleep, it's like no one's asleep!

Given how things are going, we might end up raising the flag of rebellion against the Empire is Letrizia's name anyway. Ring War clearly indicates something is up with her father and considering his position and their history, I can't imagine the Imperial family has nothng to do with it or at least isn't planing to take advantage.

Brand of the Wretched: Maybe something like the Stranger, so people hate you but they fear you in equal measure?
Brand of the Champion: Get a bunch of XP for completing the tasks and make people like you more
Doom of the Tyrant: Improves your decision making abilities such that it's more likely that you know what's best so your not listening to others is justified
But what about.. the Brand of the Addled? Hiding powers? Your competence increases?

And how about lesser Curses? I shudder to think about the kinds of powers Chaste would grant.

it's alright even if we fight the empire since we need to conquer them eventually anyway
plus gleam may spin it for us

"Perfection" is such a bizarre concept in the context of Rihakuverse, tbh.

I kinda wanna see if we could get a training booster out of a Grace that brings us closer to perfection, but that's just what Edeldross does so it's probably redundant without a lot of effort.

If we didn't have Blood, a healing grace is on the docket at some point. Even with it, a grace to help Restore Verschlengorge on top of Blood and Artifice might be a huge leap for him.

Redemption, that's a loaded term. Could we figure out a method of Decimation mitigation with a Grace that does its best to increase the life force of those that we've ripped it from? Or an anti-collateral damage effect for Apocryphal procs, that would be nice about now.

Grace theorycrafting is super fun, I hope we grab some for real, soon. Might be a nice way to SAVE! Or not, there'll be a 7 Arete Grace, won't there.

Wait, is Asterios Letrizia's father? or is her father implied to be a Ringbearer?

There's many ways it could manifest. Could be the power of Delegation, for example.

*Especially the thing with Letrizia's - oops, can't think about that.

We know that he was born pretty sickly and that even normal Outlanders were unnable to cure him. We also know that their family has significant political enemies within the Empire itself. Given that, it doesn't seem too unlikely that whatever the Apocryphal can't think about has something to do with her family, her House or her father.

We should probably develop a resurrection Grace regardless.

Some possible ideas:

He's a living ring.
He lost a bout of Primacy.
He was rejected by a Ring.

I think it would take quite a stretch even for Apocryphal to turn us saving some separatists the Empire never even heard a out into us becoming the enemies of the Empire.

There's a lot of bias here against artifice.

Artifice, how gross!!
Lest the horrors of unbound Artifice be loosed upon the universe again, Justice Blade Lucent Thorn is here to punish you in the name of the True Moonlight!

And the world itself may hate artificing, or at least some forms of it.

the Interdict of Cognition that immunizes us from rampant intelligences

We've seen that Armaments can have curses, so maybe the Journeying realm as a whole has an Apocryphal curse. It seems pretty uncreative and content to just shit out giant monsters but I don't blame it, things get dull after a couple thousand/million years.

Give civilizations challenges. Smash artificing. Prevent exploitation and extraction. Prevent humans from gathering Findross.

Our current buffs are pretty general, affecting everything, so one thing we could do is have Graces that specialize in buffing specific things.

But there might also be some subtle uses. Renewal of cycles isn't just reincarnation or something, psychometry might fall under this umbrella too. For redemption we could shoot morality beams that make people good? Might not be the most moral thing to do, ironically enough.
