-[X] Backstory: Born in Detroit and raised by a single father, Audie was drafted into the Vietnam War, and trained as a paratrooper. Deployed over a hundred times, he saw some of the worst fighting of the war, earning a Medal of Honor for his refusal to leave wounded men behind.
After the war however, Audie returned to find his father had died, and was unable to find work. He was contacted by a fellow veteran on behalf of a wealty socialite whose daughter had been kidnapped by some of his less-than-legal business partners. Things became complicated once the team found the "business partners" were aliens, and the daughter had been taken off world.
Two years later, Audie returned to Earth with the daughter, the last surviving member of the team. In his absence, he found the socialite had claimed his daughter's kidnapping had been performed by the very men he hired to rescue her. Although the daughter swore to clear his name, Audie felt such disgust with humanity he decided to leave Earth.
Over the next decade Audie worked as a mercenary, fighting for causes across the galaxy and beyond. During this time he picked a wide array of contacts, his equipment, and a title - No-Man, caused by his refusal to leave allies behind, staying behind in dangerous situations, and confusion over the phrase "no man left behind".
When he found out about the Imperium's invasion he attempted to return to Earth, but was unable to get past their blockades. Instead, he joined offworld resistance against them, becoming a persistent thorn in their operations. Following their defeat, he has chosen to return for good, to aid in reconstruction in whatever way he can.
