A Shining Beacon in a World of Shade

Alright. Looks fun, interested to see where it goes. If I made a character, I assume he would be in reserve, even if his hometown/place of living was in the same city as an already active character?

And a relevant follow-up to that for one @Bylba: How Anti-Alien is Pantaleon? Would he be willing to work with/alongside an Alien or Half-Alien if they had a somewhat similar goal, i.e. Humans & Aliens having minimal interaction?

Prospective villian I see?

After having time to think about it, I put together some thoughts on Ms. Kahn as a person to help flesh out her character:

- Her overarching personality can be summed up as someone who looks at everything from an angle of asking how can she use this to challenge and better herself.

- Her favorite hobbies are reading, studying, and research.
-- She will typically play background music while doing so, mostly because it requires she put extra effort into concentrating on what she's doing in order to get the most out of it.
-- Her favorite author and books are Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his Sherlock Holmes series.
-- She sees Movies and Television as inferior entertainment, because she sees them as just 'giving you everything' and it's easy to consume absentmindedly.
-- She does enjoy games, including video games, but doesn't play them very often because they're more difficult to take up in smaller doses and she sees them as far easier to get lost in and lose track of time.
--- Her favorite video games are strategy games (Real Time, Turn Based, 4X, etc), and her favorite game is whatever the world's equivalent is to the original X-Com series, primarily because of 1) how infamously challenging those games are 2) you defend Earth from invasion.
--- Her preferred playstyle, when she has the option to pick a character or a team, is to pick whatever the worst, most difficult to play, or most challenging option is. Even if she's never played a game before, she enjoys jumping right into the deep end with the most difficult setting available right from the start. If she were to play an RPG, she'd basically be the inverse of a min-maxer.
--- While she can play Chess, she's not a fan of it. As she sees it, 'all the cards are already on the table', as it were.

- She tries to sleep as little as she can reasonably get away with, as she sees sleep as mostly wasted time. She's actively tried to train her body to decrease the amount of sleep she needs to function normally.

- Her favorite drink is hot chocolate. Her favorite alcoholic drink is vodka.
-- She has occasionally dabbled in mixology, mostly just for the fun of experimenting in seeing what happens with different drink combinations.
-- She despises coffee. She sees it as a crutch that gets in the way of minimizing her sleep requirements on sheer willpower alone.

- She has five known living relatives (technically she probably has more but she doesn't know them and they're all so distantly related they hardly count anyway)
-- First is her older cousin, who was barely an adult himself when he was handed the responsibility of raising Zaya and her siblings. He was briefly married, but his wife was yet another victim of the war and he's never remarried. He has no powers, is from Zaya's father's side of the family, and despite being their cousin, Zaya and her siblings think of him more like an uncle.
-- Zaya has three older siblings, each of whom have relatively minor powers of their own (Zaya basically got the lions share of the power in the family). However, none of Zaya's siblings are superheros (or supervillains)
--- Zaya's oldest brother has what is effectively an innate 'Truthometer' sense. He can detect when someone is lying, on a scale from 'technically the truth' or 'harmless fib' to 'lair liar pants on fire bold faced blatant lie'. However, the power is audio only (doesn't work on written word), requries that the person knows that he or she is lying, and doesn't work in 'non-serious' conversation (someone who acting or just joking around wouldn't set it off one way or another). While not a superhero, he is on a career fast track as an investigator. Is married, and trying to start a family with his wife.
--- Zaya's older sister can basically breath anything. About the only way she would have trouble breathing would be in a vacuum or if her windpipe were physically constricted. Recently married.
--- Zaya's second brother has an indestructable digestive system - jaw, teeth, stomach, intestines, etc; While he can't chew through harder materials like rock, steel, etc, he is capable of digesting and getting nutritional value from anything he can swallow (so if he were to swallow a smaller rock or piece of metal, he could in fact digest it). An extension of this power is that he is basically immue to being poisoned - he's not really bothered by substances that would easily kill most people - toxins, poisons, drugs, radiation, etc. A questionable consequence of this is that he's taken a liking to eating things that he knows would kill him if it weren't for his power (he's actually fond of cyanide), though he's learned he needs to be careful to ensure his own food habits doesn't kill people with 'normal' constitutions.

- Zaya considers intelligence and cunning the most attractive qualities in a man.
-- At minimum, any man she'd consider dating (let alone marry) would need to be someone who could reliably challenge her intellectually; her ideal man would be someone who could reguarly outwit and outthink her but wouldn't get complacent about it.
-- While she's not actively looking for romance currently, she is keeping her eyes and options open - mostly because she doesn't want to miss out in case Mr. Right does happen to come along all on his own.

Does anyone in her family know her true goals? Or is that a secret she keeps to herself?

I would say that no, her family is not currently aware of her ultimate intentions and that Zaya is probably the black sheep of the family in that regard.

While all of them probably have negative feelings towards non-humans to some degree - they all suffered from the war at least as much as Zaya did - Zaya is the only one that holds an active desire for large-scale revenge.

By contrast, her oldest brother is probably the closest thing in the family to being an actual superhero, while her cousin and other two siblings are in more of a neutral gray area but lean good.

This reminds me, I should probably explain my charecters views on non-humans. Third Great patriotic war and all that jazz

Is there anything I should know about Los Angeles?
All I know is "big/famous city" and I guess has something to do with Hollywood too but all I know about that is that movies are made there.

The Foreman's has two major favorite media, Sports, and Home Improvement. She's known for a very long time, she wanted to grow up to be what she is today.

What would be yours?
He-Man, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, mainly the stuff he watched when very young, he is even trying out a bit of DND, but trying to make his own setting, monsters, and classes based off whatever genre He-Man is

Is only sorta successful, mainly because he is busy helping around "Mama Rossi's" and trying to be a superhero, also procrastination
