A Road of Life: A Road To Power: A Medieval Adventure of Rising to Power

Great Heathen Army: 1D100 => 94

The Kingdoms of England and Pictland: 1D100 => 15

Oh, if they conquer all the land there it might be better for us to conquer somewhere else. Would it be possible for us to go colonize America?

[X]Plan: Babies First Raid

I believe starting to build the ship right now is a mistake as it would cost us all of our gold and it could cost more than the stated price if any mistakes are made, and if we marry her we will have to keep some of the gold for her.

Oh no, This is just the opening moves. Northumbria and East Anglia has been taken, with Scotland being... raided.

Basically, history has followed it's course right now. withe Danelaw being established.

But one thing is going for England. Alfred the Great is still alive. And that means bad things to the Danelaw and the vikings.

Someone needs to kill Alfred the Great, asap.
Alfred is Like Fairhair: He's got some semblance of plot armor for myself just to keep the flow of history going in case you fail in lots of things, that will take some doing on all sides (including your own intervention) to kill or become unlucky and die.

Welp. Here's to hoping we don't die horrifically. We need a kid first dangit.
Also I'm a bit worried that going on the raid immediately might upset our new wife a little, as we essentially just got married and then run off to go fight. Like her Papa just did.

I lowkey dislike the English in fiction, they colonised Nigeria, which is were me and my family originate from.
Fair enough. I'll just say that Anglo-Saxon's here have nothing to do with the colonising of Africa a thousand years later and while I take pride in some parts of my country the colonial era is not one of them and let's just leave it at that.

So with that out the way, anyone want to conquer the Irish?

You might want to worry about getting some power before you think about grand adventures across the Sea.
You're asking a bunch of Questers to not have wild and near impossible to reach goals while they barely have anything to accomplish them. I would have thought you knew these people better Maggy.

For all we all know, we might get cucked by our wife, I really don't want us to be raising some secret bastard child.

@Magoose How does the pc compare to other warriors personal combat wise?
We are among the lowest competition, being a very well trained peasant. PC is the only stat that can get to 100.

And quite a few master warriors are among the world who will wreck your shit if you don't get good.

thank you!

So it seems like we're actually going to a raid way too early considering our skill level being rather low, guess we'll have to see how we survive.

Dammit man, you've really made this quest start super difficult. We leiterally have no exceptional abilities, were just mediocre, a normal. Normally in ck2 quest's the pc is exceptional in one way or another, were not. It's pretty interesting, but the more I think about it, it will take several generations for us to become a king. I'll say this quest is probably the closest to the actual ck2 game, it's the rise to power mod but more realistic.
