The vote has been called already.[X]Odin: The Allfather, Lord of Justice, Truth, leader of all the Aesir, and the Pantheon itself. He is a wise ruler, a trickster, and all manner of wise. He sacrificed his eye to see the future. Not a Poor choice, but he is rather popular amongst your fellows. Gain Patron: Odin: Odin is your Patron, and protector. (+3 to all stats. Signs may be seen that may help you in life, and allow you a good death)
Too soon, we are basically a nobody with nothing to our name. We would need a crew to man the ship as well and we have absolutely no means to get one yet plus we actualy don't have the money to do it.[]Build a Ship: You wish to become a master of your own fate and having your own ship can accomplish that. Cost: 150 Gold. 5 Turns. Chance of Success: 100% Reward:A Long Boat Begins construction.
Better to do this now, since it'll take time to complete.
We don't have enough money. We should buy arms and armor first. Go on some raids.
We got 130 gold, we can earn 20 more gold on work? Possibly gamble too.Too soon, we are basically a nobody with nothing to our name. We would need a crew to man the ship as well and we have absolutely no means to get one yet plus we actualy don't have the money to do it.
Let's first learn to crawl before trying to sprint ey?
Edit: Apolgies for the double post btw.
I still say it's too soo as I pointed out above, we shouldn't try to rush it imo. It's better if we try and get a bit of raiding done by joining others before we try and captain our own ship. As I said we are a nobody, I don't think we could get anyone to join up with us and sign up as crew under a young, green boy with no experience. We got 130 gold, we can earn 20 more gold on work? The ship is going to take multiple turns right? So we build it, and while we wait for it to finish we do other things is what I mean.I still say it's too soo as I pointed out above, we shouldn't try to rush it imo. We need to build a ship, asap, it take five turns anyways the quicker we build one, the quicker we can acquire power. The ship is going to take multiple turns right? So we build it, and while we wait for it to finish we do other things is what I mean.
She has charitable instead of greedy... so... most likely not. But the in laws might be.
I like the plan, I think building a ship is more important than some raid were the PC is just some generic mook. If we build a ship, we can lead a raid and if need be in secret, if the jarl disapproves.Plan: A start
[]Work For your Father: You may be a grown man, but your father requested that you stay and help on his farm until after the Harvest. Again. Cost:0 Chance of success: 100% Reward: You help your father. He will pay you… what little he does not leave for your brother.
[]A Marriage to a Friend: Kara's father gave an offer. Marry his daughter and work for him, and he would leave the Mead Hall to you, while he went off to the Great Army of Whiteshirt. Cost:10 (The Dowery) Chance of success: 100% Reward: You are married to Kara, and get a job at the mead hall.
[]Get Better (Personal Combat) You need to get better with a blade, You have to. Cost:0 Chance of success 80/40/20/10% Reward: Personal Combat stat increases. Chance to gain Formidable Fighter: 10%
[]Work Odd Jobs: You need more coin… might as well offer your services to another for a few hours every week. Cost: 0 Chance of success: 90%, ???%/??? Reward: You earn some Gold. You are noticed. New Action will become available.
-[]Overlook: You can oversee a project personally, giving it a personal touch. Cost 0 Reward a single action can have a +15 roll added to the dice.
[]Gamble: The Dice, the Cards, The Thrill… and the reward will be well worth the risk. Cost 10/20/50/100 Gold.Chance of success: ??? Reward: You can get greatly rewarded for your risk. Win too much, people may take notice… and they may kill you. (Note for this Action: Please leave only the amount you are willing to gamble in the vote. Like only Place 10 instead of just leaving. 10/20/50/100)
[]Build a Ship: You wish to become a master of your own fate and having your own ship can accomplish that. Cost: 150 Gold. 5 Turns. Chance of Success: 100% Reward:A Long Boat Begins construction.
Hmm, we usually get 10 gold by working for the father, and the odd jobs is pretty random since we got 100 gold last time. Depending on how odd job goes we could probably get enough for the ship this turn. Not sure if we should gamble, what do you think @ImprovLoser ?
I'll be honest I thought you made that plan at first glance due the similar avatars.I like the plan, I think building a ship is more important than some raid were the PC is just some generic mook. If we build a ship, we can lead a raid and if need be in secret, if the jarl disapproves.
Need to put brackets in front for that to count.
...No.
The rails have officially went off....No.
He's angry that Fairhair didn't kill us because now he had to pay us. He had hoped that Fairhair would kill us and begin the Saga's tale of him gathering friends, allies and an army to start his conquest of Norway for Erik's daughter.
Since he hasn't killed us, history (according to the Saga's of Fairhair) has changed... drastically.
You asked for the rails to be off... I'll give you the rails being off.
