[X] Tordan II
We can wait a little bit more
We can wait a little bit more
I do not think he will actually run away. more like he will attack us in an unfavorable manner to us[X] Numa Numa: Finally, retribution is at hand. Also, shiny archeotech. Also, lots of people very eager to kill you. And one person you are eager to to kill.
We should rush studying the armour. And implant ourselves some Archaeotech goodness.
People, what the fuck are you doing? Tordan II will just tip him off. And then he is gone.
i have not heard this story. can you tell me?we need to drop the nobles and build an army... Have any of you heard the story of the Mechanicus Sororitas?
I think a Rosetta can help to expedite urgent Astropathic messages.
Well, if you figure it out, let me know. That's the kind of thing I'd like to know.
Thanks. interesting stuff. I was gonna say that it sounds like over the top even for the ecclesiarchy to make the SoBs heretics for using admec augments... but since it was canonized i guess the galaxy is even more grimderp than i thought.I don't remember all of the details but basically an Admech fleet went out looking for STC's and archio-tech, and received a distress call from a planet with a small Mechanicus outpost. Since the Magos was a nice guy and the outpost claimed to need help escaping with some archio-tech they made a small detour. When the Exploratory fleet got to the planet they found Tyranid splinter and Necron fleets duking it out about three planets over from the outpost. The Arch-Magos led a force planet side and found a group of tech priests and a convent of Sisters from the Orders Pronatus.
The tech-priests told the Arch-Magos that the Necrons attacked and destroyed most of their ship then ran off to fight the Tyranids when they showed up in the system, the sisters showed up in the fighting and both of them were stranded when the Necrons disabled their ships as they were pulling back. At this point everyone is leaving when the Necrons win the space battle(though heavily damaged) and head back to finish them off. The explorator fleet manages to halt their advance for a while but the Necrons manage to land troops. The Sisters and Cog-boys retreat however a few priests with archio-tech get killed in the retreat, the Canoness and a few SoBs run back to get it and are all but killed grabbing it and getting back. They load up and jump system.
Long story short they get back to the forge world some time later and the local eclesiarchy throws a fit and declares the sisters heretics because they have mechanicus only augments, the Magos by this time has ordained some of the sisters into the mechanicus since he's a nice guy and many of them would die without mechanicus grade tech, also they helped find more archio-tech. The forge world tells the eclesiarchy to fuck off and the sisters set up shop on one of the forge world's moons.
The story came from 1d4chan however it was canonized in Dark Heresy First Edition.

but.... aren't all tech relics supposed to belong to the admec? who does the ecclesiarchy think they are to take them?Orders Pronatus exist to go out and find relics, repair and study them then hand them off to the Ecclesiarchy.

I am not asking you to make sense of that story. I am asking you to make sense of 40k lore.Look you're asking me to make sense of a story on 1d4chan that got thrown into Dark Heresy, in addition to which I only remembered part of because Admech SoB's sounds a lot cooler to me than it probably should. Just smile, nod and hope that the Black Library authors never find it.
are we going to be get pressganged there?Tordan II is currently the most voted for option, which is hilarious. Because I'm a kind and benevolent overlord, you get a chance to figure out why. Otherwise, you get to become part of a cherished imperial tradition, even if it's more of an administratum than a mechanicus thing.
Nope, that's not the issue.
