Got to admit, but I'm currently wavering on my Dance vote.

On one hand, the option feels a bit meta given that we (chat) know about the Tournament and Fleur's likely involvement.
[ ] Rien ne va plus! – This is a fundraiser and as far as French fundraisers go, it is tradition that the deep pockets of the Flamels will finance a big chunk of the philanthropic work of the state. Your mother has given you access to the assigned funds for this night. Go and participate on the auction and buy whatever it is that fancies you most for a sum so horrendously high, that a single person could not carry the weight in gold.
Do we really want to skirt this responsibility? Do we know who will inherit the Flamel's earthly goods and wealth when Nicolas bites the dust in the near future? Perhaps this is some kind of trial run and we are expected to handle this kind of stuff in the future on their and Jacob's parents' behalf.

On the other hand...
You had learned long ago, that while they were supremely mindful in leaving you enough space to develop your own personality, both your father and your mother loved every trait of them that you called your own.

And for the fierce woman, who had done nothing by the book all her life? She wanted to see you push against all conventions. No matter if it they came from the world or directly from her.

Jacob's mother is quite happy when Jacob is doing what he wants.

Jacob loves surprises (2) so I'm at least partly interested in seeing his reaction to the Triwizard tournament news with everyone else. I think that will be really cool.

Honestly Jacob could really do with more people his own age that he actually enjoys talking to and Fleur is worth knowing. She wasn't picked to represent her school just because she's a pretty face.

Was wracking my brain why this option felt so familiar till I realized it's the title of your other story, nice call back.

I am also a bit worried about what Flamel is trying. Let's actually try to scout out the place where Jacob was created yes? I don't want flamel to do some similar again or fuck with our parents souls or whatever.
I didn't really get the fibe that Nicolas was planning to mess with the soul collector, Jacob or Jacob's parents. It feels more like a project that will only get completed with Jacob's help, with Flamel possibly using his own soul to recreate one of the deathly hallows or an equivalent level artifact.

Or just a way to keep his mind and body busy so he doesn't have to think about the fact he is nearly at death's door.

[X] Danse avec moi?

Im for this no point in going for the shinies dont know the obession some have in sv for shinies when it is litarally a character driven story with some aspect of role play alla dnd.

You know, one of the big things about the Elder Wand is just how many hands it has passed through over the course of it's lifetime, I wonder if Nicholas will do something like implant his own knowledge in the wand (similar to how you can view a pensieve) or maybe it'll draw off of the experiences of the souls making up Jacob.

Lots of interesting ways this could go.

Also, everyone agrees that the stone of resurrection is the most powerful of the hallows right? You'd basically be able to get extremely knowledgeable tutors on demand for whatever subject.

The stone is interesting, so i have to ask, could we use it to talk to merlin and even more merlin us even real in this verse?

I don't see why we couldn't. But yes Merlin is real in the HP verse, he even went to Hogwarts and was in Slytherin.

We could use it to call up Basques, show Harry his actual parents to give him (and Sirius) some closure, or get the founders to pop out and pump them for secrets.

Edit.
I think the only thing is you have to know the identity of who you are calling.
Not even that much of a limitation really, the history books are flush with brilliant witches and wizards to get pointers from.

Not really... From what we have seen in the books we should assume that dead people don´t particularly like to be called from the other side with the resurrection stone...

The exceptions that we can see are the loved ones of the stone´s user, and for a limited time.

What I meant is that even if we manage to summon the best teachers in the world there is absolutely zero reason why they would agree to tech us anything.

It would be the best item for jacob trough, the ability to be able to talk with his parents and be able to process his circunstances with the Framel beats even a fucking strong wand.

I always thought that the stone was meant to be something of a poisoned chalice.

The apparitions are shaped by what the wielder knows or he believes he knows about said person. He sees what he wants to see or subconsciously expects.

In canon Harry gets the encouragement from his parents, that he needs. From Sirius he hears what he basically wants to hear, that dying is basically like falling asleep.

In the same vein, I believe that the whole Dumbledore/train station stuff was information, that Harry already had in a muddled form and he simply imagined the most knowledgeable person that he could think of laying it out for him.

There is a reason why the original wielder wasted away in front of it.

Edit: Can we really say, that all these interactions with the dead were genuine or simply some mind-f*ckery involving some MacGuffin? Stone or foreign soul/near-death experience

Let's say we want information from a dead guy.

First, we have to know the guy, which means subconsciously we already have an idea of the guy how he might or should be.
The stone shows us our idea of the guy.

We ask a question. The apparition tells us what we might already know, something we suspect, or simply something that floats around our head which might prove correct or completely false which in turn can be dangerous.

We ask a question. The apparition doesn't tell us anything. Now the stone not only shows us the image, but it also might show us the reason we think it won't tell us anything. E.g. Jacob asks a guy who he believes (or knows) doesn't like Spanish people, so the apparition tells Jacob he won't tell him anything because he's Spanish, because it's a reasoning that Jacob can get behind of.

No idea if that made sense.

I don't really agree with this interpretation of the stone, even if it is a valid one.
