A Game of Karak. Or a Dawi clan in the world of Ice and Fire

[x] Aldin
[x] The firstborn

I want that banner. If we get into a fight, keeping casualties low is essential since we picked the starting clan selection with the smallest throng.

Can i ask which era dawi arrive in my opinion they should be arrives in era of age of hero and then dawi can have ten thousand years long history if they arrive earlier i just want 100 or 200 years before aegon conquest.

Says in the OP its 30 years prior to Aegon's conquest.
But wouldn't it be too short time to build a hold from the scratch without support dawi are known for taking everything a very long and they will too focused on building a prefect hold for their new home and aegon will try to bring the dawi to bent the knee for his kingdom.

Yes, it is too short a time in many respects. However, that presumes our Dawi interact with the outside world enough to catch his attention.

Also, Dawi have weapons and tactics to use against Dragons as they are a more common threat in Warhammer than in ASOIAF.

I'd rather just bend the knee. We might have the ability to defeat dragons but the seven kingdoms don't and I'd rather not have to deal with the same Invasions Dorne had to deal with.

Plus I'd prefer the peace brought by Targaryen hegemony it would make inter Kingdom trade easier.

a brand-new quest fresh in the making, with the dawi in ASOIAF, this will be interesting!
a fond enjoyer of rings and grudges, let's hope this one is just as good!

What peace? They had one major war in each generation, sometimes even more. The 7 kingdoms before they came were relatively stable, outside of ironborns but they were starting to get evict from the mainland.
Wrong. The 7 Kingdoms had way more and more destructive Wars between them before that. And the Ironborn were NOT 'starting to be evicted from the Mainland': They had literally just build a giant f-off Fortress to secure the Mainland, a Fortress that without Dragons probably never would have fallen.

Besides, the only really Major Conflicts after the Conquest until Robert's Rebellion were the Dance of Dragons and the First Blackfyre Rebellion. Everything else were smaller wars on the periphery, without involving most of Westeros.

I mean with the existence of the Targaryens the Seven Kingdoms has an arbitrator to go to seek justice instead of only having force which cuts down on wars as well as the fact by uniting the seven kingdoms theirs a threat of overwhelming force against bad actors e.g. ironborn which again deters conflict.

Not only that but by having a royal house above the them means no wars for land instead its a battle of marriages to house Targaryen instead. Why spend men and money when you could instead have your daughter become Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

I mean your proving my point if in fact the ironborn were to be evicted it just means a lot more wars as their would be a scramble to either become the new overlord or to get as much land as possible and considering the Riverlands borders a lot of kingdoms its going to worse than the wo5k.

Regarding Harrenhal the Hoares were in a good position domestically they had a strong seat in Harrenhal which took dragons to destroy and whose construction impoverished and killed a lot of people from those houses hostile to house Hoare.

Previous vote winner: [X] Plan StarkDemise

Your Hold's name is

[]Write in (Note that you lack the size and influence to be called a Karak, instead you will be a Kazad)

Event roll: 69 (Nice!!!)

The first rays of the sun were greeted with anticipation by you and the others members of the momentary council; today was the day that will be recorded as the official start of the works on the hold, and all was based on the success of this endeavour. The time needed to build the hold was going to be a long one, and you hadn't the resources to continue the voyage if someone or something stopped the work; so the survival of your clan and the subordinate ones depended on this.

There was also to consider the mood of your dawi. While many found the decision to start the founding of the hold a wise one almost the same number found this a foolish one; citing the fact that you were in unknown lands and under the mountains there could be hordes of Grobi, or worse Thaggoraki. Despite the grumblings of the longbeards and the fear of the garazi you had decided to proceed and struck the first strike of the pickaxe, starting in this way the works; later that night the fires were roaring and the mead was flowing. After all, even if many disapproved of your decision, the founding of a hold was a joyous event and many spirits were lifted and eyes that had carried the sadness and the pain of loss were alive once more.

It was during the feast that your life changed once more; you were walking around the fires, exchanging smiles and toasts with your clan when you eyes stopped and widened. On the other side of the fire stood the most beautiful kvinn you had ever seen; her long braids were of the colour of embers and she possessed a set of mesmerizing sapphire eyes in which you could lose yourself. Somehow she seemed to notice your gaze upon her and she looked at you; an then she smiled, a small one, full of happiness and hope, but above all gratitude, and that stopped your breathing, you estranged yourself from your surroundings, the voices and songs of your people disappearing and leaving you in complete silence, except for the quickening beat of your heart. You spent what seemed like hours looking in those blue orbs until a group of dawi passed between you and her, and when they moved on she had disappeared.

[X] Plan: New Beginnings

This seems like a pretty good plan, though what project are we focusing on.
The only thing I would change is perhaps build a clansman hall instead of clearing the forest

[X] Plan: I am a Dwarf and I'm building a Hold.

- [X]Map the surrounding area

I went with the name Kazad White Peaks since it was the name of the plan from the first votes and it was neat to me.

Since we've just started and giving a speech when the hold just started should be a good option. Hold stability is 8/12 right now so it'll be neat if we can get that higher.

For the martial action I decided for now to make a wall to protect us. Makes good sense to create a stout defense first.

For the surface steward options, getting Ale and Food production up and running is a paramount of concern. Running out of food is bad but Ale? Bah! Outright crises right there.

Every future good hold has to start somewhere and that of course is its entrance and defenses.

Mapping the surrounding areas should help us with figuring out our surroundings and, hopefully, find people to the same effects as setting up ranger camps. A bit of synergy that we should use so we can set up defenses quickly.

For personal actions, we need advisors and we need them fast. They should give us more actions and help oversee/advise us. Also, find that Kvinn. Ensure that line of succession and make a dawi happy.

For training I went with stewardship since it was the one that we could reach quickly enough.

edit: got rid of Clear Forest due to misread. Changed entrance hall to granite quary cause we dont have granite.
