Barriss Offee
Name: Barriss Offee

Rank: Jedi Knight (Formally)

Faction: Independent

Age: 16

Race: Mirialan

Canon: Yes

Weapons/starships: Twin Lightsabers (Red), Blaster Pistol, the starship Scimitar

Homeworld: Mirial

Appearance:

Bio: Formally a respected and promising young Jedi Knight of the order, Barriss Offee had a ridged view of good and evil. A view that cracked and broke under the barrage of horrors the Clone Wars brought, warping her viewpoint more and more as time went on. Believing that the Jedi had fallen from the light as a result of their heightened militancy in the war, she plotted to expose their corruption with a bombing.

The plan went wrong, and she was eventually discovered and imprisoned. Not executed right away due to the bureaucratic strain of the war (and likely by the hand of Sidious to gain another pawn) she instead spent the very end of the Clone Wars in a cell in despair. But then opportunity came, the death of the Chancellor and the resulting chaos created an opening for her, and she managed to steal a blaster pistol and stage a breakout while everything else was going on.

She followed a link in the force to get to a vault where Palpatine kept several items of interest, so she cold reclaim Ventress' red lightsabers. To her great surprise and joy it also held a ship she could use to get off Coruscant. Unknown to her this was the Scimitar, the former ship of Darth Maul when he served Sidious. Regardless, the ship was perfect for an escape and she slipped away.

Now on the run, conflicted with the Dark within her and what to do with her life, she has become a dangerous wildcard in an unstable galaxy. She walks in the dark now, but the light is not fully gone from her yet.

Force Powers and Rank: A former Jedi Knight, now a Dark Jedi. Barriss is a skilled wielder of the Jedi arts, and an inexperienced but talented wielder of the Dark Side.

Knows a number of lightsaber forms in basic, but can wield Makashi as well as Soresu to a great degree and relies on them in a fight. She has also learned to integrate Jar'Kai into her style with the addition of a second lightsaber. She is skilled enough in these arts that, when paired with the Dark Side, she was able to match Anakin Skywalker for a time.

Highly skilled in telekinesis, showing both great control and power, even before falling to the dark. Can now use this skill to perform 'Force Choke' on a foe. Also has talent with Force Healing, but she has difficulty tapping into this power with the dark so prevalent in her mind now.

Bio:
Jayla was a newly-minted Jedi Knight, formerly a padawan of Cere Junda, when Order 66 was executed. It happened that master and former apprentice were at the Jedi Temple at the time, where they were supposed to be selecting padawans to train. Instead, they found themselves protecting and evacuating the younglings as clone forces blasted their way into the Temple.
Between luck and Jayla's piloting skills, the small group managed to make it out and into hiding. Junda, traumatised by the experience into confronting her doubts about the Jedi Order, severed her ties with the Force and dropped off the map entirely. Jayla was left shepherding a group of younglings when she had only just cut off her own padawan braid mere weeks ago.
Nonetheless she rose to the challenge. In all the chaos, she smuggled her charges to safety with the surviving Jedi Master Ashka Boda and Knight Halagad Ventor, who would be better able to keep them safe and see to their further training in hiding; for her own part, she felt that she needed to find her former master. She became a free trader, with the ship that they had shared so many adventures in, and set out to find and redeem the woman to whom she owed so much.

Force Powers and Rank:

Jedi Knight (in hiding)
Form IV (Ataru) expert
Standard Jedi Force power skillset, with emphasis on Control and Sense skills. Jayla is a particularly sensitive empath.

Alto Stratus

"We will let the Jedi Generals know that we will fight to be free! We will fight to defend our planet! We will send the Jedi home in caskets!"

Name: Alto Stratus
Rank: Commander-in-Chief of the Jabiim Nationalists, Confederate Congress Leader and would be Head of State of the Confederacy of Independent Systems
Faction: Confederacy of Independent System
Age: 43
Race: Human (Jabiimi)
Canon: Yes
Weapons/starships: A Vibroblade, Separatist Commando Rifle, Repulsarlifts Skates, the Nimbus Commandos, and his charisma.
Homeworld: Jabiim
Bio: Alto Stratus/Legends until his untimely death. Aubrie Wyn, a lowly Padawan, had him dead to rights. He was wounded, in a ground position, and tired from forty three days of non stop fighting. There was not much he could do. He should've died, it was fated by the Force for him to die that day. But when did Alto Stratus ever listen to the Force? So he shot her. And he didn't miss his mark. Hitting her squarely in her chest she would ultimately fall right on top of him and nearly impale him, nearly.

She was off by an inch.

Alto Stratus, Leader of Jabiim, survived the battle for Cobalt Station and would liberate Jabiim from the hands of the Republic at last. Ultimately. It would mean little. Count Dooku had a strangle hold on the Confederacy and the Confederate Congress was little more than a farce. His legend would grow however and in time he would come to take the position of Confederate Parliamentary Leader from Bec Lawise after his assassination on Scipio.

And would you look at that. Grievous is dead, Dooku is dead, and the Republic shattered in Civil War between an Empire throwing off their disguise as the Republic and those that didn't believe the Confederacy when they told the truth about the Republic's oppressive ways.

The Confederacy will rise and Alto Stratus will be at it's head or die trying. He won Jabiim. He will win the Galaxy too.

Force Powers and Rank: Alto Stratus spits on the Force, he killed Jedi Masters and Knights with nothing but a blaster and a sword all in One on One Combat.

Auro Praxis
Character-Sheet
Name: Auro Praxis
Rank: Admiral/Privateer
Faction: Confederacy of Independent Systems
Age: 23
Race: Human
Canon: No
Weapons/starships: One providence class dreadnaught "striking star", small accompanying fleet of munificent and recusant class ships. Several untraceable barges that he uses for transporting goods between planets. One derelict Lucrehulk non-warship orbiting an asteroid in the Drunkenwell system. Operates as his families residence and his home base with limited fighting ability.
Homeworld: Drunkenwell
Appearance:
6'1 human male, slightly tan skin, short curly brown hair, and moustache. Always ensures their CIS uniform is pressed and fits well. Wears a white cape alongside the standard naval outfit.
Bio: Auro grew up on the heavily industrialized squalor of Drunkenwell, where his poorer family struggled to get by under the corporations. In that environment, he learned to fight for every dollar, scrap for every small benefit, in order to better his family's prestige. The environment became one he was able to excel in, finding himself beginning to climb the corporate ladder and bringing status alongside it. The war changed everything on Drunkenwell, shifting things toward a war footing and therefore shifting corporate priorities. Auro, sensing potential profits, began purchasing damaged CIS ships and repairing them on planet. He did so for a profit, but towards the war's end he had also collected a small fleet himself. His fleet was on call for the defense of the system for republic forces, and he had spent the last 6 months fighting a rolling skirmish with republic forces as they struggled to maintain supply lines for their outer rim sieges. As a raider, profits followed, and so did his motley collection of older vulture droids and horribly optimized Recusants. His OOM model commander droid, OOM-42, known to Auro as "42", is painted black with the signature yellow stripe remaining. The chaos that ensued following the foundation of the empire has left Auro as an admiral of a motley fleet, raiding enemy supply lines as an unofficial privateer for the CIS. He is great at fighting fleet battles, but especially excels at transporting goods and supplies to other CIS worlds and escaping dangerous engagements. He could be used as a merchant, or a transporter for characters between isolated separatist worlds. He is a mid-tier admiral, and an excellent smuggler/procurer of things.

His Lucrehulk is the hidden base of operations for storing his goods, as well as serving as a home for several thousand individuals—who maintain the ship on the side. Within the ships interior, ground is laid out for harvesting crops, and it has been completely converted into a home as opposed to a battle station. It is where his family resides, while he remains on the move with his roving fleet.

Final note is that Drunkenwell is firmly within trade federation space, between Naboo and Bothawui according to the classic legends map.

Jaa Pavan

Name: The Monk/Jaa Pavan
Rank: None
Faction: Galactic Empire
Age: 30
Race: Human
Canon: No
Weapons/starships: An old, worn red-bladed lightsaber. The handle is wrapped in bandages, and an owl pendant is tied to the pommel.
Homeworld: Coruscant
Appearance: A thin man with a sharp, angular face that could have been considered handsome were it not for the wealth of scars that marked him. His face is the most heavily affected. With pale scars crisscrossing a sharp face, with burning yellow eyes staring out.
Jaa Pavan had a simple dream, a long time ago, in a galaxy oh so far away.

You see, Jaa wanted to be a Jedi Knight. Like all the other younglings that grew up in the Temple. He wanted to go out into the galaxy and help people. Use the gift he had been given for some good. It wouldn't be easy. Because that was the thing about dreams, they weren't easy to obtain. And the life of a Jedi was a hard one. Full of self-sacrifice and empathy.

But that was okay. Jaa was willing to do that. It was all he had known, after all. So he went in hard with his studies. Researched the history books. The survival skills. How to cook, treat wounds, fly a starship. All the little necessities that went into making a Jedi. He attuned himself with the Force, as his teachers wanted. Learning how to swing a practice saber as best he could.

He wasn't the best student. But he wasn't the worst, either. And he never gave up. Because he wanted to be a Jedi Knight. He wanted to help people. And, eventually, it paid off. One day, the time came for Knights to choose their padawans. He was so nervous he could barely sleep. Tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling until eventually one of his friends put his mind at ease. When he woke, he was still nervous. But it was a focused kind of nervous.

The kind that wouldn't interfere as much as it wished. And so he went. Demonstrated his skills to all the watching Knights alongside all the other younglings. Controlled his emotions as best he could, yet didn't bother to hide them. These were Knights, he wasn't even a Padawan. There would be little point. So it continued for some time. And when it ended he was tired. Both physically, and emotionally.

But it had paid off.

For by the end he had caught the notice of one of the Knights. Sera Tor, a Torguta Knight, was impressed by his emotional control and practical knowledge. She visited him after the viewing was complete, and spoke with him for an hour on many things. Mundane and significant. Remorselessly logical and emotionally nonsensical. But, by the end of her impromptu quiz whatever misgivings she had were satisfied.

On that day, Jaa became a padawan. On the road to becoming a true Jedi.

He slept well that night.

And for years onward, he traveled the galaxy with Sera. Learning much from his new master, as much as she learned from him. The finer points of diplomacy. The tweaking of his bladework. The intricacies of the Force. But perhaps more crucially than that, how to interact with the people of the galaxy. Having lived in the Temple for most of his life he was thoroughly unused to those without the Force. Their motivations and beliefs: baffling. But, as a Jedi, he had a duty. One he took seriously.

He was happy, and content. Life, for Jaa, was good.

But the life of a Jedi is a hard one.

It all came to an end on some mining world. He and Master Sera had been called there to investigate misdeeds by a failing corporation, desperate for cash. From the reports, they had been severely mistreating their workers and the local populace. Brutalizing the world in search of precious ore. A mission like any other, really. They arrived and began their investigation. Stonewalling from the corporation, as was expected.

But the local populace had proven more fruitful. They were pointed to a cave out in the wilds. One that used to be surrounded by forest before the trees were all chopped down. Were they in a lighter age, perhaps they would've felt the fear and intentions of the shaking, worn man who told them. But the dark had been pulling a steady shroud over the Force. One that had so far gone unnoticed. And so, they simply felt his fear as an innocent one, and left for the cave.

It was to be their doom. The corporation, rendered desperate by Jedi involvement, had laid a trap. One they walked right into. Explosives placed at the entrance of the cave separated the two. Jaa being sent flying in deeper, his lightsaber and communicator being destroyed by the falling rock. While Sera was left dazed and distressed by the apparent loss of her padawan, surrounded by all the forces the corporation could muster.

She gave a good fight, but was cut down. Jaa felt her die in the Force, and felt something break within him. Even as he screamed and banged on the rocks the thugs left, satisfied by their work. He lay there for eternity. Trying to force his way through the rocks. But nothing he did budged them. Not even the Force itself. But he could feel his hunger. The sting of his wounds. So with nothing at the entrance, he went deeper with only the Force to guide his way.

He was there for a month.

Draped in the dark and filth. Subsisting on whatever mangled creature he could find. His Jedi training saw him through it, in terms of the practical skills it gave him. But he could not gain the control he once had. His emotions roiled within him. And each day he remembered his master. The kind word she always had for him. Her excellent, if minimalist cooking. So many things were gone. Because of what, exactly? Because some slimy scum wanted more than they should? Money?

And he was trapped down there, in this hell, because of that? It angered him but he kept that at bay, for a time. He was a Jedi, after all. But this was his first, true test with the Dark. it whispered and coiled around him. Freezing his skin, his bones, in a cold chill. It hurt, at first. So he shied away. But it kept coming back. And the Light was so, so far away. It's shine had faded to a faint hum. And, eventually, nothing.

The Dark--at some point, one he couldn't remember--stopped hurting and became comforting. It wrapped him in its embrace and slowly, oh so slowly, guided him to the entrance. Using the Light, he had not been able to lift those rocks, to save his master. To save Sera. But with the Dark? With the Dark he would be free.

After so long underground, away from those he cared for, he saw no reason why that wouldn't be true. He sunk into its embrace, and lifted his hand. Going against everything he had been taught he reached within himself and grasped tightly. The roiling emotions he felt swirled and swirled like frothing, freezing water--until he let it loose. He broke, moved, and shifted just enough of the rocks that he could walk comfortably through. He had freed himself, using only what was within him.

Outside, he found only night. Sera's body was gone. But there were footsteps leading somewhere. He followed them, kept on the right track by the full moons light. He stumbled upon a small town, startling the folk living there. As he ate some real food for the first time in a month he learned that two more Jedi had come after him and Sera. How they had collected her body and left. Just like that.

Suddenly he couldn't eat anymore.

And on that night, the Jaa everyone knew joined the one they thought died a month ago. Disappearing into the night. He escaped the planet on a stolen ship and roamed the galaxy, growing older and more immersed in the Dark as time went on.Growing more bitter as well. For the Jedi had molded him into their soldier, then abandoned him. The Republic–nay, the Jedi had sent him and his master to do its bidding, then stabbed them both in the back. And in the depths of his hatred and despair, a power altogether more dark and terrible then he could imagine cast its eye upon him. And so Darth Sidious found himself a disciple, disposable if vaguely useful as a tool. His life was nothing more than Lord Sidious' to do with as he willed.
But now Sidious is gone. The Sith are gone. Yet the edifice they built remains, and Jaa intends to use it for his own ends.

He will bring the Jedi into the mists of history. All he needs is...time.

Force Powers and Rank: Dark Jedi/Knight equivalent

As an ex-Jedi padawan and Dark Acolyte, Jaa Pavan has immersed himself in both sides of the Force for most of his life. While by no means a master, he is adept in the ways of the Force as expected of one with his experience. While he knows the basic force abilities, telekinesis, force push, enhancement, empathy, the like. But one key advanced power he learned was force sustenance Another, taught by Lord Sidious when the Sith Lord used it on him, was force fear. He favors a mix between the Soresu & Makashi lightsaber forms.

Padme Amidala

Name: Padme Amidala
Rank: Senator
Faction: Alliance of Free States (AFS)
Age: 27
Race: Human
Canon: Yes

Weapons/starships:
  • Charisma: She has a way with words and a force of personality that can rally entire worlds to her cause, and sway public opinion (and other politicians) towards the policies she pursues.
  • Politics: Like any good government official, she knows her way around the metaphorical battlefield that is politics, ever since she was first trained to be queen of Naboo. The difference is that she does so in service to the people, be it the Republic (nowadays the AFS) or Naboo, compared to some other Senators who pocket public funds and pursue self-interested goals.
  • Diplomacy: Much of her work was towards strengthening the Republic's ties with constituent worlds and potential members and allies. For her, such bonds and policies can make all the difference between having friends and having enemies, between war and peace, success and failure, victory and defeat. During the Clone Wars, she worked behind the scenes with like-minded Senators from both the Republic and the CIS to try and cultivate a peaceful solution amidst their mutual grievances.
  • Bureaucracy: She's intimately familiar with the workings of the Republic government, and can help implement policies and services past the red tape and corruption (or obstruct the ones with ill intentions). Such knowledge and skill, she brings along to the AFS, whose government is much easier to deal with in comparison to the old Republic's.
  • Administration: She brings along her management skills from governing Naboo and her later service as its Senator, and as such, while she may not always be able to personally handle something, she can assign and delegate such tasks to the best-suited people for the job.

  • ELG-3A blaster pistol: A variant of the Merr-Sonn Q2 holdout blaster, it's a popular choice among diplomats, featuring a sleek design, a stun mode, great firepower and capacity for its compact size, and good range. Padme has been in dangerous situations before, ones where her blaster has to do the talking.

  • J-type star skiff: A spacefaring yacht that was designed by Naboo royal engineers for their queen, though out of gratitude to Padme for her service, she's allowed to use it, and it's her ride of choice for most outings. While it is primarily a passenger transport, and is not meant for direct confrontations with enemies, it's armed with twin laser cannons and has plenty of speed and agility for getaways. While she can capably pilot the ship herself, she usually leaves the flying to C-3PO or Captain Typho.

  • Chromium-plated N-1 starfighter: Sometime during the Clone Wars, Anakin and his apprentice, Ahsoka, taught Padme how to dogfight. On her first such flight, accompanied by Ahsoka while learning the basics from her, they encountered a modified Vulture droid, which disabled Ahsoka's N-1 starfighter in a surprise attack, leaving Padme to face it alone. Flying this chromium-plated N-1, she exploited the droid's lack of improvisation, turning the tables by hiding behind a nearby comet and ambushing it as it passed by, causing it to crash onto an asteroid. While she doesn't sortie as often as her husband, she has done so with great results.

Key Assets and Allies:
  • Various political, diplomatic and bureaucratic contacts and favors
  • Jedi Order
  • Naboo
  • Delegation of 2000
  • AFS
  • Republic Senate contacts
  • Peace-minded CIS Senate contacts
  • Anakin Skywalker

Weapons/starships:
-Double-bladed Saberstaff
-CIS Lucrehulk-class Battleship "Fair Deal"
Homeworld:
Alsakan
Appearance:

Born on the Republic Founder world of Alsakan, Lucian had initially been destined for a life of wealth, opulence, and authority as the first child and heir of a prominent noble family that held a comfortable position within the line of succession to the King of Alsakan. However, his path was forever altered when his Force Sensitivity came to light at the age of two years old. Though his parents were reluctant to part with the eldest of their soon-to-be three children, he was surrendered to the Jedi Order to be raised and trained one year after the discovery.

Due to the prominence of his family in the Core worlds, it was decided that Lucian would not be registered with his family surname to provide him with a measure of anonymity to discourage both his family and his family's rivals from attempting to use him as a part of their political games. Despite this, small gifts would still find their way to him on his nameday every year.

His upbringing with the Jedi was mostly peaceful, though still dotted with events such as the invasion of the Temple by the Yinchorri during the Yinchorri Uprising and the arrival of Anakin Skywalker. Though the deaths of several prominent Jedi Masters were significant, it did not especially affect the life of a Jedi as young as Lucian at the time.

The only especially noteworthy point of his initial training was his curious lack of ability to perform the fabled "Jedi Mind Trick," a simple ability for most Jedi, as well as its derivative powers. In all other areas of typical Jedi training, he was, at best, average.

Nevertheless, he did show a particular aptitude for all things machinery, absorbing the knowledge taught by the Temple's available courses with an almost unnatural swiftness. This would eventually lead to the discovery of his native talent for Mechu-deru around the age of eleven.

While not it was not an inherently Dark Side power, its origins with the Sith caused Lucian to experience some level of ostracization among his peers and wariness from the more conservative Masters.

Despite that, it proved to be a boon when it came time to attempt to attract the attention of a prospective teacher. Nearly three years before the Battle of Geonosis, he ended up drawing the interest of Master Plo Koon, who himself had a similar experience with Electric Judgment.

Though he was left behind for the first battle of the Clone Wars, he would otherwise accompany his Master in battle, one of the most notable being the hunt for the Malevolence.

But at the end, Lucian would find himself separated from his Master on a hostile world when Plo Koon's fighter was shot down over Cato Nemoidia by his own troops. Though he managed to escape the clones, he still found himself very alone.

Needing to get off world in the face of this betrayal, but unable to access his starfighter due to not wishing to fight his former troops, the Padawan had to be...unorthodox in his escape.

Stowing away in a Droid transport ship, he smuggled himself onto a Lucrehulk-class battleship still in orbit as Separatist forces were forced into a retreat, eventually hiding himself in the surprisingly spacious ventilation system. Bypassing the ship's firewalls with his Mechu-deru, he implanted a virus in the ship's systems that would override the relatively simplistic programming of the vessel's droid crew whenever they used the onboard charging stations. The Tactical Droid on board almost proved to be an issue due to its more complex programming, but Lucian was able to ambush it before that happened.

Once his sabotage was complete, a process that took most of a day, he had his newly subborned droids stuff the few Nemoidian crew into several escape pods and eject them from the ship once they had arrived at the Separatist rally point. Following that, the ship immediately launched itself into hyperspace on an unknown course.

Confused and grief-stricken with no guidance and fresh from hijacking a warship, the newly orphaned Padawan has no idea where to go or what to do, save perhaps search for fellow Jedi survivors.

That said, it would be great if the droids stopped referring to him as the "Supreme Commander," a title that he's fairly certain that General Grievous holds.

Force Powers and Rank: Jedi Padawan

Lucian is trained and proficient in most of the abilities expected of a Jedi Padawan, including but not limited to telekinesis, Force augmentation, and Force Sense. However, he is completely incapable of performing the Jedi Mind Trick, which is chalked up to a quirk of his connection to the Force.

Seemingly in exchange, he is a natural talent in the obscure art of Mechu-deru. Though at first discouraged from exploring it by the Creche Masters due to its origins with the Sith, the onset of the Clone Wars and the mass deployment of battle droids saw a reluctant change of heart and he was allowed to study holocrons on the matter in the hopes of reverse engineering the related technique, Mechu macture, which had become "lost" sometime during the New Sith Wars.

In lightsaber combat, he prefers to rely on a double-bladed variant of Form V, the same style preferred by his late Master.

Anakin Skywalker
All right, well, I plan on putting up two apps, but for now, here's the first one and arguably the simpler. I'll deal with the other one tomorrow or Sunday, when I have more time lol. Let's see how good ole Ani does, eh? Should be a refreshing change, considering the take in lore here. Do hope the Sheet works as I've written it, although I'll happily rewrite some if it needs it. Ahem, regardless….

Character-Sheet
Name:
Anakin Skywalker
Rank: Jedi Knight
Faction: Alliance of Free Systems/(Loosely, It's Complicated) Jedi Order
Age: 22
Race: Human
Canon: Yes
Weapons/Starships: General Temperament, Lightsaber, Eta Actis-2 Starfighter(? I'm assuming he got a replacement fighter between the start of RotS and the fateful Office scene, but hey, maybe I'm wrong and someone will correct me?)
Homeworld: Tatooine
Appearance: I mean, if you REALLY want to admire this face... be my guest :p

Bio: Greatest pilot in the galaxy, force wielding maniac, and almost-Sith-but-thankfully-not Jedi Knight. Yeah, that's right, THE Anakin Skywalker. Want an autograph?
Force Powers and Rank: Well, if one wants specifics, the link above does list them in greater detail. However, to give a rundown here….

In general, Anakin's Force abilities follow a simple rule; incredible amounts of raw power, but usually not as much skill. After all, the most powerful Force User in the galaxy doesn't need to use finesse to win, right? Well, while he has proficiency in several standard Force abilities - such as Jump, Speed, and Mind Tricks, to name a few - as well as several less than standard ones - such as Visions and, ahem, Choke - Anakin has far from tapped his true potential, having neglected his abilities in favor of strengthening his lightsaber skills. A waste, some might say, although who knows where he shall improve following the events of Order 66….
