A completely ordinary game of chess

[X] King to D2

Let's avoid going crazy yet. I'd prefer to see this game gradually develop into something absurd rather than rush there right away.

Oh no, however could this have happened :V
Btw, are we allowed to vote multiple options? I know there's only one action per turn in normal chess, but given that this is turning into a very silly game of chess, I'm wondering if perhaps doing a multi-option vote could become plausible at one point. Because there's several votes I agree with and I'd rather not roll a die to choose lol

I was actually thinking of combining King to D2 and the designate a successor votes. The swapping of outfits to make a body double would work nicely with that.

If we hide the king on D2, the enemy won't be able to see him and the pawn, so we can have them secretly swap outfits prince-and-the-pauper style.

Honestly, a solid move.

[X] Hide the king on D2 so the enemy won't be able to see him and the pawn, and have the two secretly swap outfits and weaponry prince-and-the-pauper style. Our Pawn on d5 will flirt with the only enemy who could possibly see this maneuver, the black pawn at b5, as a distraction to ensure there are no witnesses. If he manages to subvert the black pawn to our side, well, that's just a nice bonus.

Stelff mode.

The best part of the move IMO is that it empties the file- if we blocked, the black king could simply snipe the blocker, and since guns don't make you move, we'd be in check again (unless a reload was required, which I don't want to risk). So blocking could blunder whatever we use to block.

My other idea was getting the king to dress in drag to make the other king panic and think they're the one in check, but this seems safer.

And if that don't work...

[X] Conglomerate our pawns into a Magachessatron on rank E.

If we are arming up, I'd like to propose arming the queen with a mortar in a future turn. As the saying goes, artillery brings dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Also the superior combination option is upgrading all the pawns to fin funnels once we realize our remaining knight is a newtype.

But the Queen is too exposed, the Black King could just snipe her. We should give mortars to our Rooks instead, their battlements will protect them.

Ah the old king switch-a-roo, a classic tactic. You move your king to D2 to preform the swap, meanwhile your D5 pawn moves to C5 to flirt with the enemy B5 pawn to distract them. While the swap goes smoothly, the flirting however goes a bit too smoothly. The C5 and B5 pawns hit it off so well that they have both renounced their respective citizenships and eloped together.

From a distance, blacks king has now realized that your king has apparently just moved like a knight, pushing your own pawn out of the way to get closer. Intimidated by the perceived athleticism and tenacity of the white king he commands his bishop to shield him, giving him easy access to castling should he so choose.

Well the move cost you one of your pawns, but it also took out one of theirs, so it seems to have broken even? Oh well, at least your enemy has no idea that your pawn on D3 is just a pawn. In fact they are so scared of it that they just blocked the line of sight of their only sniper. What will you do?

[]KILL THE LOVERS WITH YOUR SHOTGUN! NO TREACHERY SHALL BE ALLOWED!

[X] Ask the lovers to hold a peace summit. Its time to end this cycle of violence and bloodshed. No more lives need to be spilled! Invite the enemy king to meet at C6 next turn (While you will move to C4 next turn, and won't bring your shotgun), with the now neutral pawns punishing any treachery... Also, give your queen on D5 a tank, while everyone else is distracted by the peace summit proposal.. for reasons.

edit: to be clear, I am suggesting proposing a peace summit his turn, and holding it next turn. Also, we will be sending our decoy to the summit, not our own king.

yes, this is not a smart plan... but it would be drama, and that's what I'm here for
