In case anyone's wondering, the mind control failure and the king's headache is because we're a conglomerate consciousness of the white side according to the lore, whereas the black side's moves have been expressed more individually.

I think it's because only pawns are vulnerable to mind control. Some of our pieces defected to the grey side earlier, which seems to indicate that they do have their own free will.

Has a Rook and a Bishop watching it. If the Black Queen takes that fight, it'll go poorly for her. Unless she has a gundam or something, which is always possible.

Right, missed the rook. But the bishop is the one that's moving in the first place.
