If it is, my reasoning for this plan was for us to be the person in the know of the supernatural. We are not the main character and our roles are to be the guiding hand for whoever it is going to be. Our last vote had the monsters be in the secret, so we could expect that the MC doesn't have any knowledge of it either. Also the reason why I don't have any combat skills was because this is a Quest where we have partners. We can train our combat skills later on at our leisure. For the record, you will get the option of starting with a Partner in the next vote. I didn't put it in here, cause there's already a bunch to vote for, and what Monsters you'll be able to choose will be determined by your Class.

It wouldn't be weird for you to start with a Partner when the story begins. You can choose to NOT start with a Partner, but you'll likely still get one very early. The one who won't have one for a bit is your bro, the actual Protag. Cause of course.

And you will be fighting alongside your Partner since "We Fight Together" was chosen in the previous vote. Not saying you HAVE to include Combat Skills in your vote (it's fine as is and I like it), but don't neglect them entirely. This won't be a Pokemon situation where the humans don't fight while their Monsters do all the work.
 
So question. We chose the swear by the book option. This means we can have multiple partners. So in this case how exactly would succession battle work? There can only be one king after all. Would our partners have to fight amongst themselves afterwards?

Though, this being a Shounen and a Harem, your bro will likely be able to solve the inevitable Second Succession Crisis by using Talk-No-Jutsu on everyone.
