"Baka" Rin labels you, why would I want to stay and look at that?" The girl retorts referring to the scene of her father being stabbed.
"Because" you being pausing to gather Rin's undivided attention "we can learn more if we stay."
This revelation shocks Rin who has to work to calm herself down, you are once again reminded that she is not the mature person she pretends to be and is a girl of seven or eight years old. Not a regular person, but a Magus, still she has retained some form of innocence.
<Ironic that she has while her sister lost all of it due to the father's ambitions> Magnus comments. There is a certain affinity in his voice however you know best not to pry.
"I" Rin begins "I wish to learn what it is we might see hear" she informs you, trying her best to act mature. It is really adorable or something of the like.
You don't need Magnus's instructions to ask her if she is certain, you can do that without being prompted. " There is no going back once we go forward you might regret it" you state.
"Baka" Rin once again refers to you as if you are a idiot, it is rather frustrating since you are much more intelligent that she is, far more intelligent. "To be a Magus is to walk alongside death" the heir of the Tohsaka family quoted "of course I am sure."
In the corners of your mind you hear Magnus chuckle in morbid humour <very well then, let us test her mettle> the Crimson King declares.
Nodding in acceptance of this you speak to Rin "remember to control yourself, this might be even worse than the what we have seen hear."
The Scene before you is now enveloped into the darkness and Rin takes a few steps towards you afraid. Since you are the only other person here (that she is aware of) it makes sense that she would come closer to the only thing that she can see.

The lack of emotion is not new, though you admit the sensation is a bit intriguing, it is not that you have been drained of such things only that a dam has been placed in front of those rivers denying them access.
Colour and light a revealed as a man with black hair wearing some sort of jumper stands in front of an ancient creature. "I am surprised that a failure like you would dare show your face around here" it said. The creature is sitting in a chair with a rather stern expression on his face "I told you to never let me see you again, Kariya" the creature informed the man.
A quick glance at Rin shows that she recognizes the man named Kariya. "I heard you adopted the Tohsaka's second daughter" KAriya replies unfazed by the creature in front of him.
An amused chuckle escapes from the creatures ears "you have good ears" it commented.
"Is it that important to keep the Matou Lineage?" Kariya asked.
"And you would tell me we're wrong?" Was the reply the creature gave "you of all people. Whose fault do you think our present condition is?" Well you would say that it was the creatures fault, you suspect that he is the one Sakura refers to as Ojiisan, but you can tell that he is far more ancient. "Kariya" the creature addresses the man "had you agreed to carry on the family name, and learn the secret of the Matou, then things would not be this bad" the creature explained.
<Older than me, most definitely> Magnus informs you <and he is quite dangerous, be prepared to restrain her for what comes next.>
Kariya frowns at the presumable head of the MAtou "stop this nonsense you vampire." This seems to impress the creature a bit, it is probably not used to dealing with people under it with spines "you only want the Grail to make yourself immortal" Kariya informed the creature.
The creature only chuckles darkly at this, not even bothering to deny either of the charges "by this time next year, sixty years will have elapsed since that time." The creature now stands up "but the Matou have no pawns to offer for the Holy Grail War" it stated. "While you might have" the creature begins as he walks over to Kariya "your brother Byakuya lacks the power to control a Servant."
So this was the mater the Matou's placed in to fourth Grail War. You glance at Rin and see that she is realising the same thing and put a finger to your mouth and signal to her that the two of you must be silent.
As the ancient creature hobbles he continues "but even if we let this round pass, we could still win the next." You can feel the dread rising from Rin as she realises what the creature is referring to. quickly you act and cover Rins mouth in a firm grip as the creature now speaks "the Tohsaka girl's womb will produce a powerful magus" it informed Kariya in a matter of fact manner "she has quite the potential that one."
As the creature walks past him Kariya speaks "so as long as you get the Grail, you don't require the Tohsaka girl for anything?"
The creature stops in it's hobble "what are you Scheming?"
"A trade Zouken" Kariya replies without missing a beat. "During the next war I will retrieve the Grail and you will release her."
The creature named Zouken now pauses to consider this offer before he grins and begins to chuckle. "Don't be stupid" he chides Kariya "you're a failure and you haven't trained a day in your life." Now he hobbles over to where Kariya is standing he asks "in a single year you are telling me you will attain the power to control a Servant?"
"You have the abbility to make that happen" Kariya replies "with your control over insects" he reveals. This catches Ziuken's interest as he turns around to face Kariya "implant a Crest Worm inside of me" Kariya states.
Confusion was written on Zouken's face "Kariya" he begins "do you want to kill yourself?" It seems this Crest Worm is a serious deal, and the exchange for power comes at a high cost.
Unperturbed Kariya replies "the Matous should be the ones to attain their own goals" he states without a shred of doubt "I wont let anyone else get involved. I don't expect that you will worry much about me Otousan." So this creature may be Kariya's father, that would have been a disturbing thought.
Chuckling at the response Zouken walks back to Kariya "I you are trying to keep her out of this, Kariya" Zouken now trails off as the realization hit's his son. "You're a little late" Zouken states.
"You old bastard" KAriya snarls losing his compusre "you couldn't have." It appears that you are about to learn what they were alluding to.
The scene Changes and you see Sakura there, she looks a lot like Rin with the same hair colour and eyes, however they are blank just like her expression. But that is not disturbing, no what causes Rin to struggle against you fiercely is that Sakura is in a pit filled with insects that crawling all over her. Unlike Rin you can also tell that that they are crawling in and out of Sakura as well.
"For the first three days she screamed rather loudly" Zouken explained his voice echoing in the chamber. "But on the fourth she stopped" he explained enjoying the horrified expression on Kariya's face. "This morning I threw her in, to see how long she'd last" Zouken stated "It's been twelve hours and she's still breathing, the Tohsaka are very powerful." The tone of the ancient creature's voice told you that he was impressed with Sakura's tenacity.
"Sakura" Kariya begins to try and run towards her.
"What will you do now?" Zouken asks his son "a single broken girl, violated by insects from head to toe. If you still wish to save her, I might consent" he informed Kariya..
Without hesitation Kariya replied "I will" a steely resolve present in his voice.
Zouken laughed at this "very well, but I shall continue her education until you show me results, I shall aim for victory in the Grail war after this one" he explained. "But should you somehow manage to retrieve the Grail that is fine" Zouken told Kariya "I won't need Sakura then. In that case her education will only last a year."
Kariya grit his teeth "you won't renege on your word Matou Zouken?"
"You can serve as their breeding ground for a week" Zouken replied referring to the insects and ignoring the question as he walked up the stairs. "I you don't die or go insane then I will concede that you are serious."

The scene before you fades to black, but you do not let of Rin, no it is only until the familiar setting of the kitchen returns that you let the sobbing and struggling girl go.
The high pitched scream and cry from her is warranted as Magus unblocks your emotions and you are hit with a wave of disgust and horror.
<Do not let such things hinder you> Magnus instructs.

It takes a few moments but you are able to balance your humors as you were taught to, in fact you might be getting better at it. Moments later you see Kiritsugu come rushing into the room, the Magus killer looks first at the sobbing and screaming wreck that was and is Rin Toshaka and then at you. He is raising an eyebrow and the unspoken question of what you ore Magnus just did hangs in the air.
