Huh? Why me?
I normally don't like planning out character builds from scratch, there are too many variations and too many ways to create an evolutionary dead end, or a one-trick pony. I prefer for options to be limited (say, a choice between a few pre-defined techniques, skills or spells that the GM knows will be useful) so that we could adjust each iteration of our character one step at a time, and get feedback from the story on which areas we need to focus on.
If you ask me about personal preferences, I don't particularly care for physical stats and prefer utility magic. Teleport/Blink, Lock, Telekinesis, Speak with Animals - you wouldn't believe how many opportunities these tools could offer compared to their direct damage counterparts. I fondly remember convincing a pack of rats and a couple of moles in a sieged fort to sneak a mine under the enemy commander's tent in one of the campaigns... good times. Though a good old fireball wouldn't be amiss if you find your back against the wall.
We don't know our next goal, so we are in the same position we were at the beginning: pick what you like and try to make it work as a character concept. Right now we have a fighter-mage, so probably some healing and battlefield control spells are in order.
I definitely would rate Nature/Spirit Magic over explosive one, but have no opinion on Logistics and Etiquette, so I'll pass.
Your suffering sustains me.
So is Happiness a poison for you?
The tie was broken in favor of Tavish, well @Birdsie You gonna close the vote or wait a little bit more?
He is currently offline so he'll probably close when he comes back online.
Your post suggests the opposite.Hey Oshha!
Hope you're feeling better today
I hope you are cause I'm definitely not!
Good recovery. He is currently offline so he'll probably close when he comes back online.
Strangely enough, I have almost fully recovered and should be fully recovered by tomorrow. Thanks for the concern.
Well that would be too bad for us, they aren't as many active players in this Quest as @Oshha is, so hope it doesn't get worse! recover well!

Hey, new guy New view... Because, you know, none of the plans seemed complete. I WOULD'VE liked the explosion kind of magic, mas honestly, that was specific to fighting the big damn dragon, not all fights. We NEED something ranged, one way or another, so magic for that, since we seem pretty good and powerfull. Still, stopping the training with swords won't help, we may even degrade, like normal people after months without training.
For the favour... Even without he not giving us a new chance, I believe a strong magical ally is a better combat boost than the dragon thing, and we would be making he go back to his darkest past, simply because we repaid his favour of saving us. Not. Cool.
I couldn't bother to read the several pages of conflict and discussion, but... I believe when our little thief/friend sayd "So much for heroics..." He WASN'T talking about US, but about HIMSELF and his future. Re-read it, because for me it REALLY sounded like that, even the narrative seems to suggest our MC was wrong in her assesment.
