In Madokami I trust, so hope it is. I'd also like to get a second impression on the girls here so we'll wait and see, for a little while. And I agree violence is not the first answer to the world's problems - but I certainly don't want to fall into the corollary of that saying: "Violence is the last resort of the incompetent." We should find a different last resort.

What a waste of potential, though. They could have built up their own meguca country on the principle of might as a guarantor of right, blowing up any incursions by human factions and providing asylum to the awakened who manage to flee human lands. Instead they are choosing a collective suicide/death wish under the guise of 'peace' for ideology. Meh. Makes me kinda disappointed and completely unsympathetic, much more so than their bloodthirsty tendencies.

I am not sure I can consider an obliteration by Kibo, by UES, by Nightmare Child (I don't know her, but I get the feeling she expects something from the world still), or by their own hand if they succeed by some miracle a proper plan.
It's just below the 'let's destroy the world to erase all suffering' on the scale of lunatic cliched villain plots.
These guys have no future... but I guess that's the point of the faction.

That is how it seems. Yggdrasil is a group of children (yes 16 years old girls and so on are still childs for me) and they have lost their hope. Like Bianca said, it is like a superpowered tantrum. Therefore they just want to kill everything that hurts them. They would want to make the world a planet without humans than live in a world that hurts them.
If you look at most of the girls with that age today, it is frightening how accurate this is.
EDIT: not every "bad" group has some great and evil goal, besides the point that nearly all is cliche today .... maybe something different will happen or appear and abyss knight is just our mid-game-boss

What we've seen of Abyss Knight's philosophy seems to be the natural conclusion of "I just want it to stop"
She really just wants peace, but no longer beleven it can be achieved in a world that still has humans in it. Remember that she said herself that she'd be happy if Kibo were to succeed, and I don't doubt that most, if not all, of her followers feel the same

Uhh, I unfortunately did most of my thoughts on discord but I will point out how Knight didn't outright deny another solution existing just that she won't be the one to find it or believe in it, that'll be up to us I figure.
I'm actually sorely tempted to stay and help them, not kill people I mean, I don't know how they'd react to Sun and moon being as hopeful and innocent as they are but it's rather fatalistic here.

It's not that she wants to find another solution simply because she already has one and is sticking to it, it's just one we don't want, but rather if Kibo manages to do it then she'll be happy as long as it works saving magical girls.
Whatever happened to her made her believe there is no other option but genocide... which is really bad make no mistake but if there is another way by her own words she shouldn't be against it if it's actually possible in her eyes.

And I think we should take the opportunity to train up while we can. This group is combat oriented, so learning how to actually fight would get rid of the Total Noob penalty.
...and I suspect there's a perk behind Ruin Red/Purple? They're the first paired set we've met, so they'd have a better idea how to align two different fighting styles.
Finally, we've had it mentioned repeatedly: Connection is our most important trait. Upgrade it all the way while we have the XP and nothing urgent on.

Veekie i dont think we need/should level the connection yet and i dont think it is our most important trait. All is Equal is something i can understand, because we need to level our combat abilitys (and mostly our defense) where we still can. It is true that nothing is urgent yet, but if we just level up our defense if we are in combat we will die sooner or later, because 1-2 levels in defense wont be enough.
We should start level us more balanced. The connection can wait now and we should really focus on our other aspects too. Basically i would say we should aim on Evas defense a bit more and maybe even work towards veil of the lunar goddess. Because Eva can do finally the thing that is her role: be a tank and protect Rico in a fight.

Sadly I expect Abyss Knight to reprise in an antagonist role eventually. Which is why I'd like to postpone the more in-depth research of our own nature until we're no longer in Yggdrassil's stronghold.
