BookMouse plan is better for our interests. Edited my vote
You ! I like you just for the fact that you have Reinhard as an avatar. I approve ! *thumbs up*[X] Stop him.
-[X] Demand to go with him. He's on trial because of you and you're going to take some responsibility.
--[X] Try and argue to Cervitou that if he performs the ritual, he won't have to keep getting you out of trouble.
---[X] If that also fails, say that you'll owe him a favor.
Hey Birdsie, provided that you don't mind me asking, how's that final update for the King of Heroes quest coming along? The vote's pretty much decided at this point... (Once again, my apologies if I'm needlessly bothering you.)
Hm? Are people still interested in that? Okay, I'll make the last update.[X] Stop him.

Er, what? I am not sure I understand what he is telling us.Cervitou turns around and begins walking away. Midway to the stairs, he stops, turns and adds one last bit of information before continuing down the stairs. "Then the throat!"
We kinda don't? I mean, invulnerability is nifty, it's right up there with immortality and eternal youth, but it's not like we NEED it. Our folks have been fine without it, as were their folks, and it's not because they didn't have the opportunity to enhance themselves with black magic.
I also think he isn't making sense - taking on the dragon alone meant 'without our family's backing' and no more than that. Charming a local noble into lending us an army was on the table, after all. Everyone who ended up instrumental in the outcome was someone we met ourselves. Eh, but grumpy old men are entitled to their grumbling, especially after that demon/soul business.
We kind of need it actually not need it now now but in the near-future, its a FREE power boost ! So we help Cervitou and get the ritual not just limiting our actions to helping him.We kinda don't? Arrogance is a sin after all he is right but I think he is overreacting, when an assassin poison someone who will claim the kill the poison-maker or the assassin? He is right on one thing thought it was pure luck (and QM's generosity)He is mentioning that if we didn't want to blow up the head or heart with explosion magic, we should have gone for the throat.
He is giving Artoria a much needed reality check on not being arrogant and trying to do everything herself and making reckless/thoughtless decisions. He is mainly miffed that Artoria is claiming that she soloed the dragon when in practice she got lucky and used the help and reputation of others to succeed. He is also pointing out that what she is did was incredible dangerous and stupid and she should have asked for help rather than trying to do it on her own.

You misunderstood i agree with him saying we should take down our pride a notch(we didn't thank Beronica and him for their help) but I think that he is overreacting over the fact that we shouldn't claim that we alone killed the Dragon, because it is true we alone killed him.Cervitou isn't overreacting. Artoria needs to have her pride taken down a notch otherwise her arrogance is going to her killed. Nothing that Cervitou said in his speech is wrong.

We used it, we did have help but in the end, it was us.And with the verb "use" it means it was merely a tool/weapon as is our weapon Excalibur their is no difference, technically Excalibur is our mother's sword after all so what of her reputation. Was their someone else with us in its lair? No, using underhanded tactics and not a front assault doesn't mean that we did not kill it alone.Actually we have help from at least two other people, as Beronica gave us the poison we used to kill Pyndwyn and Leona gave us the reputation needed to scare Pyndwyn into not fighting us while the poison took its effect. We also needed Cervitou's help to survive the demon attack.
So no, it is not true that we succeeded alone.
That's just paranoia but no as FREE as you think we did go through some difficulties but not as much as we are supposed to when we kill a Greater Dragon. It's a FREE power boost? I really, really doubt it. We just can't see the price right now.

Which is what Cervitou is getting annoyed at Artoria about because Artoria isn't acknowledging that and claiming all of the glory for herself.

Well, honestly, I have to kinda disagree. Right now, we're pretty underpowered for the challenges we have to face (demons, people out to kidnap us to get to our mom, etc.) and that ritual would go a long way into helping set up our power base.
@Oshha What do you think of the omake? since you are the sole user still in the thread.
We're only relatively underpowered because our character is a thirteen year old girl and even that is relative as the threats which should be more powerful than us and for a thirteen year old girl, Artoria is definitely overpowered.
Glory for what? Making a poison? As I said earlier who will take the claim of the kill? The assassin or the poison-maker? It doesn't matter if we know the poison-maker personally or not it's the same, as for using our Mother's name unless she herself claims something Cervitou has no right to speak about us using her reputation, we are her daughter after all. And I still agree that losing ourselves in glory will be our downfall and I still acknowledge that they did help us in an indirect way but still they weren't here helping us poison the Dragon. You don't seem to be getting the point. You say this:

Yeah, we're thirteen, and we just killed a Greater Dragon. This is gonna cause a lot of enemies, such as people who would want to kill us before we reach our full potential, the demons (including Knights of Hell) who are going to be attracted to us if we ever wander outside of the house, etc.

I agree with you, and I don't think we should feel bad for doing what we did, but we definitely need to thank both Cervitou and Beronica and do something for them, so that, at the very least, we don't lose two powerful allies.
Here you are wrong, we didn't claim anything about how we did it just thatSo? Artoria is most certainly not underpowered and is definitely overpowered.
That isn't the case as in that scenario, the assassin is falsely claiming to have made the poison or to have not use the poison. As for using our mother reputation, it is her reputation not ours. We used her help, just indirectly and Cervitou has every right to call Artoria out on refusing acknowledge that and claiming full glory for herself.
Cervitou isn't claiming that we should feel bad for using help from others, he is calling Artoria out for falsely claiming that the slaying of Pyndwyn was done entirely on her own merits when it wasn't. Like claiming that you found a place entirely on your own when you had to ask someone for directions or claiming that you are self-taught when you actually had a teacher or claiming that you carried something somewhere on your own when there was a second person helping you with the lifting.
What do you want us to say? We did not lie, we really did poison the Dragon. Not Beronica and not even Cervitou
