[X] Plan: Keeping our prize for later.
[X] Pick the bones and scales, then make them into enchanted, magical armor sets and weapons. Take one for yourself.
-[X] Keep the rest in the armory.
[X] Take the meat of the dragon and cook exquisite meals from it, including soup. Make sure all of these meals are enhanced and given the best of spices, including magical ingredients, to make the most perfect of all dishes known to civilization!
-[X] Keep and preserve them in the pantry until the time is right to consume them.
[X] Refine the draconic blood, tissue, and organs into alchemical and thaumaturgically-ritualistic reagents and ingredients of legendary power.
-[X] Preserve them as alchemical ingredients and ritual reagents. (Can be used to create half-dragon homunculi, if you guys are into mad science like that.)
[X] Have Cervitou bind the dragon's soul within its heart, then consume it and take a bath in its blood. This will give you longevity, allow you to achieve superhuman parameters in the future, as well as greatly enhance your regeneration and maximum mana and health. However, doing this borders on black magic, and people will give you strange looks for some time.
[X] (Optional, free choice.) Take the skull and have it carved into a tree-house. That will serve as the base of operations for you and Roland. Besides, a house inside a dragon skull. How cool is that?!

I find it amusing that we specced Artoria for a physical combat build, but now we are using successfully cunning and trickery to win this fight.
I was never an advocate for might as an universal problem solver (there is always a bigger fish in the pond), but the solution still relied on our physical prowess to reinforce the trick. It would be harder to sell the illusion to the dragon if we didn't wake him up by walking up to him and nonchalantly poking him in the eye like it was Tuesday - and were we less physically capable we might not have lived to see the follow up.

[x] Plan: Invest in reputation

-[x] Donate them to Mora, Megafni, and the other cities.
[x] Refine the draconic blood, tissue, and organs into alchemical and thaumaturgically-ritualistic reagents and ingredients of legendary power.
-[x] Donate them to a magical organization.

Take what you can use - the dragon scale equipment, - and donate away the rest. We did it for reputation, to show that we can, so put this to maximum use with this in mind. The blood will go towards compensating Cervitou - who still needs to buy his quarter of the soul back, mind you, - and to the University that will be teaching us magic, something that we need to be instructed in as it is one of our greatest assets.

And the skull for a tree-house because we are a kid and it's absolutely badass.

@Nevill I think your vote before this update was the best example of "think outside the box"
For our reputation don't worry... we are a 13-year-old girl barely above average strength killed a Greater Dragon, our names will be sung far and wide and twisted truth too, like how we killed the Dragon with our might alone *smirk*
and the loot is ours, we might as well make the best of it.

We do. It is respect. Also the loot from Pyndwyn.

Speaking of loot, @Birdsie what is going to happen to all of the gold and stuff in Pyndwyn's lair? Does Artoria get all of that as well?
Of course.

Actually, there's a treasure room under the Baragar Mansion with thousands of magical swords, staves, and artifacts looted from defeated enemies.

Now, this Quest got more and more interesting! Well, we do have a lot of money.... we just need to build a Legend with our names in it and meet the Founder of our family in the Throne of Heroes, that will be awesome just so he can praise us.
@Birdsie Is their a way to go to Throne of Heroes without dying? or we can summon him...

You can go to a spiritual realm if you find someone capable of transporting people to the other side, or do so yourself. The easiest ways are:

1. Find a shaman. They specialize in spirits, not just summoning, but spiritual stuff in general.
2. Take him to a node, where leylines cross. Leylines are holes in the soul of the planet that pour out mana like blood. The veil between worlds is thinner there, especially at nodes where leylines intersect.
3. Make a ritual using powerful ingredients. The more mystical power an item has, the better odds of success.

Summoning Baragar should be easier. Just use your own blood as a catalyst, perform the proper summoning, and done.

I am not worried, I am just listing what I want and why I want it.

I want to make a good name for ourselves in the army and among the magical community, two places that I think will be relevant to our future. I don't see much point in hoarding our treasures for 'when the time is right'. What use is meat if just wastes away in the pantry? What use are the bones that collect the dust in the armory?

Ever caught yourself after having a full inventory of 'I'll just save this for when I really need it' consumables at the end of some game or other, items that you didn't get to try once? Same logic.

Uh, would killing it with poison affect the meat?
Ugh... I noticed that but I thought the QM forgot so I didn't mention it, we don't need more difficulties that will be unpragmatic...

I mean that we are not a charitable person who will just give... This was a personal quest to prove herself to herself and others apart from respect, I think Artoria deserve to be selfish a little bit.

I want to save them for when Artoria is an adult and not just a kid. Having them in storage for future use for when Artoria is an actual adult and doing her own stuff will be useful. I personally think that we aren't a position to maximise on just giving everything away as it will be years before we can make use of them as we are still just a kid. By that point, the people we are helping will be just grateful as their memories and gratitude would have faded with time.

Except this isn't the logic we are using as we want to keep in them storage for when we are able to make use of them. Which is the equivalent of getting something in the early part of the game and then saving it for the latter part of the game where things will be harder and the items will be more useful and valuable.

Right now, I'm thinking that we really need to get stronger, and fast. We don't really benefit much from making food out of the dragon, except for reputation, and we've got that covered already by killing the dragon. We can also make sure that we have gear if we ever lose our own, and also some gear for future companions. Could also be great for negotiating if we ever need other materials. We also need to learn more magic so we are as diverse as possible. Also, if we get stronger now, we can repay Cervitou later for helping us. Who knows, maybe we'll face up against another dragon, and then we can give him some materials. Finally, binding the dragon's heart to us would definitely give us a HUGE power spike, and increases our potential in nearly everything we would want to study later.

@Birdsie How moral/immoral is power boost option?
We are eating a dragon soul/heart, it just depends on the person, "No! He may be an asshole but he was still a person!" or "Meh, that dragon deserve it", we are technically denying a Dragon's soul the afterlife of whatever Deity he prayed to. But still, worth it I think and he just said for sometimes, it means just for a limited amount of time and after that person will probably stop caring, he said it borders on Black Magic not that it is Black Magic.

@Birdsie How moral/immoral is power boost option?
Well, it's not quite at the level of: "She might be worshipping demons," or "She's probably into black magic," but it's like: "She's into some weird crap, alright."

Eating souls is generally looked down upon by almost everyone except people that do it. No matter what soul, or what gain you get from it. But since the dragon was really malicious, evil, and no one really minds if its very soul was destroyed, people are less inclined to dislike you because of it.

I have some doubts about this whole 'eating souls' business, considering the curse of some Demon Lord on us. Seeing how demons sustain themselves through souls I can't help sensing some kind of connection there that might bite us one day... and the bonus is so good that it's hard not to think about a fine print of some sort that may accompany a deal like this.

Still, Cervitou knows more about our curse than we do, and he'd be the one doing the ritual, so maybe it's all good?

To be honest, I have the same doubts and I am only going for it because Cervitou will be the one doing the ritual. Otherwise I would just call that option a poisoned apple.

Omake: Round Two
Round Two
Tavish frowns as he reads the textbook that Artoria let him keep. Covering the basics of Thaumaturgy, it mainly focuses on Enhancement and Anti-Magic when it comes to more advanced stuff.

Which is fine by the golden-eyed boy. Enhancement is one of his main and only skills so improving further with proper instructions and not just self-teaching is good and well, Anti-Magic is sure to come in handy someday.

He is pleased that the Baragar heiress let him keep the textbook, but at the same time, the red haired boy is troubled by her willingness to resort to violence.

After all, he only asked her to speak with Marinus, hoping her clout would intimidate him into not beating Septima out of the public eye. Apparently she just meant 'beat up' when she said talk.

Even her first idea was kind of cruel with the whole booby trapping his home, even if he didn't have his family living there. And Tavish certainly didn't like the smile on Artoria's face when she proposed the idea and how disappointed she was at not being able to pull it off.

Closing the textbook, Tavish decides that he out to get start with his practice. After all, practice is the only way is going to improve without a proper teacher.

Hmm, maybe he can get Artoria to teach him some tricks when she gets back from her dragon hunt? She seemed like the good sort even if she is a tad psycho.

He even feels a bit sort for whichever dragon that Artoria chooses to go after. Hopefully it will deserve whatever Artoria does to it.

"Hey Tavish!" calls Marinus and Tavish looks up to see the blue haired boy swaggering towards him with four of his lackeys in toe.

"What do you want?" asks Tavish as he looks over who Marinus has brought for this encounter.

The big oaf Harold, the scrawny Jeremey, the tall and slim Karl and the tubby Clifford.

"You had that dump noble girl whoop our butts yesterday and it is time for you to suffer the price for that," declares Marinus dramatically, aiming a pointed finger at Tavish, "Get him boys!"

Harold is the first one to charge Tavish and the one is worried about the most. Marinus is something of a wuss while Jeremey doesn't have the muscles to hit hard. Clifford is too overweight to last long in a fight without running out of breath.

That leaves just Karl and Harold and of those two, Harold is the one who hits harder and can take a hit better.

Roaring with rage, Harold swings his fist as Tavish who easily sidesteps the clumsy blow and kicks Harold in the boyhood. Wincing in pain, the bigger boy drops to his knees with a wheeze as he shields his crotch with his hands.

Tavish throws a punch at Harold's face and his fist connects with his target's jaw. Going into tumbling backwards, Harold is left collapsed on the ground, groaning and wiggling in pain.

"Who is next?" asks Tavish as he turns to face Marinus and the rest of them, putting on a display of bravado to try and intimidate them into leaving him along.

For a moment, Tavish hopes that he got lucky as the other village boys hesitate. Unfortunately, his luck isn't that good.

"He just got a lucky shot in," says Marinus as Tavish's former friend clenches his fist, "If we all rush him at once, we can take him for sure. Well, go on!"

And with that, Karl, Jeremy and Clifford all charge at Tavish. Tavish ducks back from Jeremy's attack, only to be caught in the side by Karl's fist. Staggering back, Tavish is barely able to block a swing from Clifford and even then it still hurts his arm.

Karl slams into Tavish, sending the redhead tumbling backwards. Getting up, Tavish attempts to punch Karl back, but the other boy catches his punch and Clifford takes the opportunity to punch Tavish directly in the face.

Flying backwards, Tavish groans as his entire face hurts. Raising a hand to his nose, he pulls it back to see blood on it.

"Ow, that hurt my hand," the golden eyed boy hears Clifford complain.

"Get over it," says Karl callously, "I can't be doing all the work here. Speaking of that, how about ya actually do something helpful Jeremy?"

"I'm trying," whines Jeremy, "But you aren't getting me the chance."

"What about Marinus?" asks Clifford, "He is just standing back."

"I'm doing some proper work," retorts Marinus.

Tavish begins to sit up as Marinus strides forwards, moving up to Tavish with a smug look on its his face. Tavish's eyes narrow as he recognises his new magic textbook in the hands of his former friend.

"Look at this fellows," sneers Marinus, "Our little pal over here fancies himself a mage. I bet you stole this from that noblegirl whore of yours. I wonder if she knows that you got this? Or what she would do to you if she found out?"

"Er, Marinus," says Karl nervously, "Isn't Tavish actually a mage?"

"Yes, I am," answers Tavish as he pumps Mana into his body and Enhances it.

Before any of the other boys can react, Tavish is back on his feet and has snatched his book out of the blue haired boy's grip. A punch to Marinus' chest followed up a kick to crotch and Tavish grabs Marinus by the shirt. Lifting him over his head, Tavish throws Marinus at the others with Marinus crashing into all three of the other boys.

"Now, as amusing as this has been to watch, I am going to ask you boys to stop this and scamper off," says a woman's voice and Tavish turns to see an imposing noblewoman, "I need to speak with my daughter's latest friend."

Dressed in her armour, this tall woman has long blonde hair and is rather muscular. She carries an air of authority around her and Tavish knows better than to mess with this lady.

Marinus seems to figure that out as well as he runs off, with his lackeys following him, including recently recovered Harold.

"Now then," says the noblewoman as she turns on Tavish, "What all that about?"

"Marinus likes to beat on his younger sister," Tavish explains, "So when Artoria came through the village yesterday, I asked her to speak with Marinus about that. I hoped that her clout would scared him into not doing it, but Artoria thinks that 'talk' means 'beat up' so she started a fight. And because I got her involved in the matter, Marinus and his friends think I asked Artoria to beat them up and want revenge on me for it."

"I see," says Lady Baragar, "And the book?"

"Artoria let me borrow it," replies Tavish, "And then she left me keep it for free when I tried to return it to her."

"I see," says Lady Baragar again, "You are mage then?"

"Yes," answers Tavish, "I'm mostly self-taught as Dad only taught me the basics before he died and Tiger, that's my half-elf caretaker, hasn't been able to get me a proper teacher yet. Just a bunch of fakes who tried the con us into believe that they were real magic users."

"Then perhaps Artoria could provide a proper teacher for you," says Lady Baragar, "It would be an appropriate punishment for getting you into trouble with her recklessness. Now, please could you provide me on some information on what my daughter is going?"

Tavish hesitates as he tries to figure out whether or not he should tell Artoria's mother the truth about what she is up to.

In the end, Tavish decides that Artoria is probably better off if her mother knows what she is up to.

"She said that she was on a quest to kill a dragon," answers Tavish, "She asked me if I wanted to join her, but I turned her down. She also said that she was heading to Mora next."

"Thank you for the information," replies Lady Baragar, "That is most helpful."

Round Two
Tavish frowns as he reads the textbook that Artoria let him keep.

I approve of this. I hope others do too.
