Or alternatively have Bianca arrange a less traumatic capture than the normLet her be pursued, but have Bianca conduct the operation in a way that deliberately lets her escape
Which will paint us as magical girl sympathizers to the public and make US look fishy. Then we are much better off with convincing her to surrender, avoiding the dangerous spectacle altogether. Doesn't get less traumatic than that.
Considering magical girls are the next thing to a terrorist ICIt looks like somebody stepping between two sides ready to leap at each other and trying to defuse the situation. I don't know how not succumbing to the panic paints us as a sympathizer of anything.
How does the plan allow that?
It pretty specifically argues for surrender, and once Bianca gets here in an official capacity, she can't just let a Magical Girl go because she says so.
See, this is why I am not overly concerned with presentation. Tactics (how things are done) should never come before the strategy (what needs to be done).
So far the four possible outcomes were proposed for us to work towards:
Risks nothing, but Anastasia's designation is World Eater, which evokes unpleasant images. Should she freak out and hurt/kill someone, there is the proof of her dangerous/unpredictable nature right there, and the probability of this ending well for her is pretty much nil.
- Do nothing, let things play out as they may and let Bianca sort the resulting fallout.
This would solve things neatly... if it works, which I find dubious. And if it doesn't, having our name associated with that kind of thing is a game-over scenario. Also, the end result is a girl less than ten years old with an omnivore theme thrown out of the city and having to fend for herself. No way that can go wrong. Might or might not be preferable to the alternatives, though.
- Hide her, let her escape the city in secret.
Gives us the plausible excuse. Otherwise runs into the same problems with the previous one, plus we need to communicate that to her somehow.
- Let her be pursued, but have Bianca conduct the operation in a way that deliberately lets her escape
It could be a preferable solution... It also could be worse than running away. Fact is we don't know what happens with the girls who go willingly.
- Convince her to stand down and surrender to Bianca's mercy.
If you want to gun for several of them and keep the options open, you will have to make the plans more complex.
It's all about presentation. Both to the thread and the majority of the characters in the story. One says two surprisingly competent sisters of the MoD, the other says... well, it can say a lot of things. Most of them dubious at best.
[X] Eva: Talk to her. Soothing, calm tones.
-[X] Topics: Why she bullied us, our sister and how she doesn't hate magical girls, why she's hurting
-[X] If she asks why we're helping it's because she's hurting and we want to help and because no one should have to run and hide in fear
-[X] Try to get to how our sister does not hate magical girls before Rico calls her and how she's the best way we have to help Ana.
[X] Rico: Keep the rest of the class calm. Use our best "Commander" mode big sister voice.
-[X] "Alright! Now, no one is going to panic. Because if you panic, she panics. And no one here wants that. So, you're all going to keep quiet and slowly walk out of the room without so much as looking at her."
-[X] Call Big Sis after and explain what happened. Including how this is probably her first transformation from how it looked/when it happened.
I need more topics to talk about. Something good for an intro topic. The dog and family are likely not safe topics, though the dog's actually a bit of a coin flip if she really likes dogs.
As for an EXP plan, we're only 14 EXP away from being able to buy Shining Protector which, now that Eva's a bit sturdier, seems like something worth getting
So save it up just a bit longer for thst, then we can start going into the fiddly details on spells, weapons, and abilities
I mean yeah, we should definitely leave open the option to just cut and run. I'm honestly confused as to why people are saying that revealing ourselves is a "loss". All it does is change our priorities
Considering magical girls are the next thing to a terrorist IC
Uncharacteristically stepping up like that does not look at all good for someone in the age band to be one
It is possible, just needs work. You could blame it on her ('she dragged me away by force before I could talk her down'). You could say that you tried to convince her to surrender, but failed and she went her own way.Getting her out/away without that someone suspect us or anything of that is nearly impossible. What do we say if someone asks what we did when we were alone with her? We must help her escape from our town, not just from that building. Therefore we must go with her for a bit. How should we do explain this?
We don't even know that. For all we know, they are serving willingly knowing what the alternative is (death or exile), or are wearing collar bombs. We are in the dark here.Because all we know is that they are brainwashed or something, but no one knows the exact details.
If we aren't killed (which I find unlikely if we don't give them a reason), it is no more a loss than running away after being discovered. Not every bad thing is a loss.It IS a loss. because we cant stay and will always have the military behind us (not in a really good way). If that wouldnt be a bad thing, our hiding until know would be pointless. Think again about this and then say why it isnt a loss.
Alright, I'll build an EXP Plan for you that takes care of the top three of your desires. Feel free to change however you see fit.Your 2. possibility has another problem. Right now we are in the middle of the class. Getting her out/away without that someone suspect us or anything of that is nearly impossible. What do we say if someone asks what we did when we were alone with her? We must help her escape from our town, not just from that building. Therefore we must go with her for a bit. How should we do explain this?
I truly think that the 4. option is the best out of them. Because all we know is that they are brainwashed or something, but no one knows the exact details. Therefore I believe it isnt that cruel (anymore). You know what happens with such things:
If all dont know what truly happens most of them will think it is much more terrifying than it really is. Even if not, our girls wont know it.
Thats why I see it as the best options out of that 4.
Maybe we could bring things up like we still like her and would prefer to be her friends than that she bullies them. I think her issue is jealously that we have a sister and she want someone who likes/love her without bonds too. Maybe she is just lonely, I would work that way. She is in a situation where Anastasie will believe anything that would be pleasant for her. Maybe we can even say she looks cute or something in that way to calm her down.
Naturally if someone after that asks we can still say how scary it was. Then they will most likely praise us of how we handled it.
I dont think that we are this tanky yet. But it is a skill that maybe worth it in the not so far future. I still would go:
- Rico HP
- Rico´s dmg-spell
- Hp and resilience a bit more up
- Eva´s Heal-spell
- then shining protector
- Melee-weapons, the upgrades for Rico´s dmg-spell
That would be my plan for leveling up right know.
It IS a loss. because we cant stay and will always have the military behind us (not in a really good way). If that wouldnt be a bad thing, our hiding until know would be pointless. Think again about this and then say why it isnt a loss.
I explained it above. and others did too. If Anastasia is running amok, there is a really high chance people will die and/or we will be attacked with them. The military knows that as well. If we call our big sister we will be seen that we did a good job. They would most certainly scold us for doing such a "reckless" thing, but they will praise our judgement the same time. If someone questions that, our sister can easily say it runs within the family. The military knows our sister and how she reached her position. It is even possible that they think we will be just like her.
Therefore there isnt a problem with that.
It is possible, just needs work. You could blame it on her ('she dragged me away by force before I could talk her down'). You could say that you tried to convince her to surrender, but failed and she went her own way.
Hide her in the city, then arrange her escape. It is still better than her and the military coming to blows.
I am not advocating for the option, but I think the knee-jerk reaction to knigget's idea was perhaps unwarranted. It's workable.
We don't even know that. For all we know, they are serving willingly knowing what the alternative is, or are wearing collar bombs. We are in the dark here.
It is no more a loss than running away. Thing is, not every bad thing is a loss.

[] EXP Plan: Offense and Defense
-[] Solar Blessing (100)
-[] Scorching Sunlight Level 5 (70)
-[] Protective Silhouette Level 4 (60)
-[] Lunar Blessing Level 3 (30)
-[] Solar Blessing Level 3 (30)
-[] Shell of Light level 3 (30)
You like it?
I wouldn't mind working with the military. After we are discovered we must be run away. If we dont do it our big sister will do something so that we can escape or something like that.
That is how I see this. I doubt that Naron wants us to stay with the military and work for them. He will find ways to throw us out into the world. XD
Note that Scorching Sunshine doubles in damage every level up. Just letting you know. That is perfect. Thanks for that. Because I think that gives us enough defense to survive the early stages and we arent helpless if it comes to dmg. After that i think there is much more room of what we can do/level up.
First off, why do we need to sneak away? I mean, as a player, you want to get EXP and levels, but what is in it for the girls? Normally a period of time that we can't take plot-relevant actions in would be handled through a timeskip. That's just musings, not the real question. The other is how we escaped from her if she took us as a hostage. Even when we esplain it somehow, our mother or even the military will be by our side all the time after that. How do you think we can sneak away from that?
Because if it were a good idea to surrender, we'd likely know at least something? Surely people would prefer magical girls coming with them quietly and without resistance, and keeping their fate secret is not very conducive to that. That is what I meant. We dont know anything, therefore why should we assume that as a really bad idea?
The real question is... wat. After hostages are freed and the situation deescalates, they go home and the state largely forgets they exist. They don't get personal guards assigned to them if they aren't at risk of a repeat attack. What would be the purpose? Why would they be at more danger than any other random civilian who could have been there in their place? I can't make sense of what you are implying would be the problem here.
I think the safest option for us would be running. Aka veekie's plan. The safest, and best plan for the twin's kinder nature, is talking them all down. Our big sister ist the MoD. She will be worried and sometimes the military is questioning them. But what I meant was the hiding part of that idea. Hiding within the city would nothing more than delay the outcome. The military will search the town and we cant go help her without blowing our cover. That is what I wanted to say.
Naturally all of this solution has risks. But I still think it is the best option, with the fewest risk for us.
Besides that I know Naron for many years now. Heck he is my best friend and i speak with him every day. I can say it isnt what he had planned and therefore I wrote this. But I can also say if we really try that or want it, he will find a way for it.
I am eager to see how he will handle this. XD
Except killing us with the most terrifying monsters out there.![]()
I can not see in what way it could be a good idea to focus her attention on that, or how to even approach the subject at a time that she thinks everyone her enemy. I don't know if it can be justified even if it is connected to the reasons of her transformation. The result is the issue, not the reasons, and it is hardly the right time to establish them now. There may be something I do not understand about this bit, so I'd like it if anyone could tell me just what they envision us saying on that particular topic.-[X] Topics: Why she bullied us, our sister and how she doesn't hate magical girls, why she's hurting
