Of Knights and Legends (Fate, Arthurian)

Can we use our write in to ask Bedivere if we can create a plan with our compatriots? He was nice enough to ask if we were ready. We might be able to use this chance to get a feel for our teammates abilities.
If you want a maybe two paragraph update sure. I dunno if he's generous enough to let you plan in front of the enemy though.

Hmm, what do you mean here? Like, we can ask him for a break to coordinate, so we get 2 paragraphs detailing our teammates abilities, but he won't let us plan?

@BlackHadou How long is our practice spear? Spears are typically 6-8ft (1.8-2.4m), is the practice spear the same?

And Bedivere is using his staff as if it were a spear. Is his staff a quarterstaff, a long staff, or something else? Just want to know the difference in reach between Arwyn and Bedivere.

Both you and Bedivere are using roughly 5 foot long staves. They aren't exact representations.

You know if this was real life, Bedivere's job would be pretty difficult. With a staff, you need to shift your grip to switch from close combat to ranged combat. In fact, doing so with one hand would be quite difficult because you don't have two hands to help you shift the weapon. Since he's dealing with a spear user hitting from mid range and a sword user hitting from close range, it should be pretty difficult to defend himself.

Should

You don't know the legend of Bedivere, strong as nine men, very well do you?

I don't actually. Considering most of my fate knowledge is from the 2 anime and I never read any of the novels or supplementary material. And no arthurian knowledge either

  • [X] Spear.
[X] Mordred's probably the only one of you who can even create an opening. Work together with him so he makes an opening and you use your spear's length to take advantage of it from behind him.
[X] Bedivere said nothing of his sides. Pincer from the left and right side.
[X] Whatever you have in reach
[X] Just start throwing things at him. If you can hit him, but he can't hit you there's a chance you won't loose miserably. It's a small one, but you can hope.

Well, allow me to provide!

Bedivere is famous for being a guy who is as strong as nine men. His primary weapon is a magic spear whose effect is never really delved into, as Bedivere, while one of the famous romance knights, never really does much of note.

He's also one armed. Usually the left arm is the one he actually has, so by default he's left handed.

Solid plan.

I still kinda want to raise Sword and Axe though.

...

Okay, I'm noticing a theme with these options. Namely, that you start a course of action, but there's no real goal or follow through to that action. Example, you stabbing past Mordred. Great start, but what's the payoff? What's the victory strike? What's the game winner?

You don't fight by throwing out one offs until one pays off. A knockout punch is genuinely a one in a million thing.

It's like we can't predict how would battle against mostly unknown opponent will play out after our first move or something.

Not that we have solid grasp on how relatively good we are in the first place.

I suppose I might as well try.

-[X] If you can actually hit him like that, great! Take a step towards the side that got hit (Right or left, probably a little forwards since it's a circling motion), and hold your "spear" near one end with both hands. Swing full-force at wherever you hit before. It won't work, but that's fine. You're a distraction. Trust in Mordred.

In case any further modifications are made:
