...huh. So not so much hatred as much as blaming them for the war. Interesting.

Lets see who else is heeeereeeee...!!!!!
No. Fairly sure there's personal hate there for her husband getting killed as well.
Well, if this was Australia, you might get away with local wildlife :V
Also, as a freebie, there are no Children of Nightmares in this setting.
Magical Wildlife then. If you cut out Demons and Nightmares there's not a lot left.

Well... the only magical wildlife you might find are zombies... and those usually just roam around and leave people alone unless someone gets too close or they are ordered to attack.

By the way, I replaced some races from CW's Quest with my own.
If you go back and check the first update with the twins, you can get some hints what the spider was.

that's resilience sorted

next we need to work on raising our HP, and making sure to scale our healing with it

It's easy to hate as a kid. Very, very easy.

Hatred is easy to tell. By expression. By actions. By words. Especially words.
Not really actually. Hatred sticks. Hatred is black. Like an abyss. It just chips away at you, moment after moment, slowly eating away at everything you are until there's nothing left but hate.

Kids... might be able to hate for a moment, but they just don't have the capacity to have a lingering, clawing hate. Unless it's aimed at themselves or someone who reinforces that hatred day in and day out.

I'm fairly sure kids can't hate. Not in the way adults can and do anyway. I mean, kids literally aren't self-aware until they're six or so. And I know there's more developmental stages like that at around 12 or 13. Which, ah, fits with personal experience and hating myself. Nothing changed in my circumstances, I just grew a little more and started hating myself. *Shrug*

They also forgive and forget so much more easily than adults.

Automatic guns cause 300 damage each. Depending on how our Resilience upgrade works, we either are immune to them at level three, or level fifteen. It's interesting.

Full Auto puts those rifles at 300 damage per attack, yes.
However, human soldiers firing together get multipliers once there are at least three.
And now tell me how you want to shrug off 900 * 3 = 2,700 damage.

Not really actually. Full-Auto team bonuses stack fast. Human soldiers can easily hit 3000+ damage when firing at a target.
I know. Just saying an individual automatic gun won't hurt us. Together, we are Swiss cheese.

Hax? Future ability? I dunno.

I guess it depends how often she's going to change the bandages and honestly you should change for a wound like that once a day so yeah, we're probably screwed...

Maybe if they wake up earlier then their mom like last time we have a chance to put fresh bandages on ourselves, like a "look what we did mom" if it actually looks legitimate the mom might not take it all off. Yes, I'm trying to squirm out of this situation.

Also maybe Eva should do something with the mother next time to dismiss suspicion or at the very least prevent more of it?

I heard there are other races out there, but I know nothing about them... maybe that scary spider-monster was an alien?
Hmm.

Incandescent Armour
-500 EXP

Shining Protector
-350 EXP

All is Equal
-400 EXP
These three abilities interest me. The first two sound like more Resilience buffs.

The last one sounds that some kind of equalizer. Like maybe the girls stats become the same? Or perhaps Eva's stats become equal with themselves. I honestly have no idea. And it looks like it'll take awhile to gain the necessary EXP.

You know what... I had a great day, so have another freebie: those are no buffs for your Base Resilience.

They are something much better.

Interesting! And thank you very much! You are very generous.

My current goal is to gain enough EXP for one of them. After Health has been settled that is.

I swear. The moment we figure out the mind link, we need to study it more. Because there could be something it is hiding.

...or I would just be making us waste our time. What do you guys think?
