[X] RogueDruid, but with a Text Expansion...
-[X] A young man, who for a rogue ninja with a preference for black clothing, has an expression of a relaxed professional, and since being accepted by the Ebon Emperor, a bit more brooding, that hides a spark of hope and fanaticism towards the Black Kingdom, that's filling his thirst for vengence. Despite this, any expression of his can be hidden in a stoic face, that looks as still as a dolls mask, but can be as strong as the Ebon Lord's own emotions when his mental 'mask' comes off.
--[X] Past black ninja garb, he's also apparently has a liking for dark jackets, dark business suits... Anything, especially if it can be darker than black, or easy to conceal various weapons or knives, that could be likely coated in poison if you're not careful.

You can toss me your ideas, sure. I'll see what I can help you out with on them.
Well, since you're entirely chill with possible ideas...

How about, a possible 'day in the limelight' for an Office Demon, who might look similar to Yoshikage Kira, just wanting a normal day, until some Exorcist ruined everything in cover. The sort of Demon who wants a 'Quiet Life', with fetishes towards OCP and Office work, over actual hell work. But alas, trying to have as 'quiet life', when you're strange enough to attract strange...

Or a possible 'candidate' to become a Stewardship manager, if he thinks/feels that the Black Kingdom has something to offer with a relaxing life of vice/evil, without having to be pushed to the war front past emergencies and such. The sort of devil who'd rather tinker with a PC doing office work, over strictly dealing with 'business' selling of souls all the time.

I think the main problem with these is that it would basically mean making up new characters instead of expanding on those that already exist.
It is not at all easy to write a character we already saw convincingly, but doing so with a previously non-existent person is impossible. Our QM can think up interesting people by themselves just fine (point in fact: Yuudai, Evetta), so we should put our emphasis more on fleshing them out in a convincing manner.

I believe this will be more rewarding in the end.

Is Magic Truly Magical by Taka (Semi-Canon)(+10)
Speaking of @Naron, here's something I managed to whip up thanks to his prompt and help.

Lead and wood spun. Round and round and round again along the tip of her finger. It was a mental and physical exercise in futility. No matter how many times the pencil between her fingertips looped, it brought the end of this class no closer to her perspective.

To think, the 5 minutes it took for the teacher to set up had just finished. 55 more minutes of excruciating boredom that she needed to survive. Honestly, the girl mused, classes nowadays felt so tedious. She'd rather be out there on the field! Doing her job as a Magical Girl to protect the human race from the Wraiths. The Witches too now that she thought about it, even if it took an entire squad to try and bring one down.

Like a spiral, that thought about witches reminded her of the latest encounter with one. Disgusting puppets. Failed negotiations. Aestia was not consciously aware of it yet the way her prosthetic arm shook from the dense negativity pooling within her forced to calm down.

Her eyes were drawn to that limb, and what exactly that particular limb entailed. Magic was an amazing thing. It could perform miracles only seen in what she once thought were fairy tales. Yet all the same, as the fingers of her Ebon-Arm continued to loop the pencil about, she could not help but be annoyed at everyone around her.

I wish I could use magic!

I wanna be a hero like The Red Enigma!

Urgh! My right arm! It burns with a dark power!

The guy who said that last one struck too close to home, enough to cause a sardonic smirk to play past her lips. Oh if they only knew how her hand actually burned with a dark power. Oh they'd all see. They'd all stop making light of what being a hero meant! Then maybe they'd do something actually helpful and stop being so wishy washy about their futures and help bring humanity to a higher stage!

But no! They dreamed and whined and threw caution away just because they thought it looked cool and "Miss Aestia!" The red head's neck practically snapped at the speed of her looking up to find her teacher aiming a piece of chalk at her forehead.

Scratch that, the piece of chalk was already flying and "Ow!" Her normal-hand went up to rub the sore spot while an automatic apology escaped her. Along with empty promises of her not daydreaming again in the middle of class.

"Now that Miss Aestia is done brooding, please turn to page…"

She slumped back into her seat when the class finally stopped laughing and focused back to their teacher. The past her would have been more embarrassed. Her cheeks would have been flaming red and she could just imagine steam whistling out of her ears from all the attention. Now though? She couldn't help but have her thoughts be dragged back into the world she lived in.

The very same world that Ebon lived in.

She still couldn't truly decide what to think of the guy. He could take down a Wraith with no problem. Hell! Even Witches didn't pose a threat to him! Oh, sure, she'd already read the declassified dossier concerning the Company's view on the guy but…he had gone farther for her. Right?

He didn't have to save her. Or bring her arm back. Or even agree to meeting the rest of her squad! Sure, he was pretty rough around the edges…but he was pretty cool too. In that edgy dangerous kind of way. And that hood. Ugh. That hood. She knew in her head that it was to help hide his identity but what kind of guy actually needed to?

Maybe he was actually a monster. Or some kinda demon. Or maybe he was some sort of prince? Yeah, that sounded nice. A prince showing his favor for a woman he rescued. Nursed her back to health…, held in those strong hands of his. How he did all he could to bring back what she had once lost.

Aestia quickly shut off that way of thinking. She shook her head to get such bizarre thoughts away. She knew that path led to madness…even though being cute and handsome and cool was requirement to be a prince and damnit Aestia, stop!

She did not have a crush on Ebon! She did not did not did not did not and that settles it! Fire behind her eyes, Aestia swore to herself that she'd meet up with Ebon soon! Get to the bottom of things and prove to him and to her that she definitely did not like him like him! He was useful and powerful! The Company said so!

And that's all he actually is!

Right...!

Oh gawd. If that becomes canon, then that would mean that Aestia is Buffy. Can only live life if there's drama in it. And Jacob is trying to run from that. Worst, he's only aware of the kunoichi plotting on marrying him while keeping the other kunoichi away. While, Sakura is trying to figure out why she's now feeling funny around Jacob, MJ's friend is convincing herself that she's found love (jeez he's even got a Yandere after him... several with all those kunoichi piled on top) And now Aestia is fangirling on his Ebon persona. ... Makes me glad that a.) I'm not Jacob, and b.) that this quest isn't on QQ (brr~ *shudders* The horror, oh the horror. )

When you have this many sub-genres mashed together, it's not hard to see the potential incoming collisions. :p

Yuudai's introduction to the Ebon Lord by Master Basher (non-canon) (+5)
Since I can, and had a feeling of a nice thought exercise over thinking what a likely mentality/POV Yuudai may have, that'd be his possible/initial POV before, after imprisonment, and likely descent into AHAHA...

Here, have a shot on what he might have been thinking during imprisonment. Especially when it came from a constant rereading, that chances are likely Jacob's met Yuudai during Part I of the Ninja Bailout crit, likely....

So, in a sense, was trying to think of it as a sort of 'Part 1.5' between Part I, and Part Yuudai, at a glance/guess. Dunno how canon this is, but it turned into roughly 2.5K of speculated POV, on Yuudai's end, I think...

Hope it's alright...

-

Yuudai's Introduction to the Ebon Lord

For a sudden attack from the "Ninja Gaijin" of Ando's, who when he next woke up, still made him shudder that in contrast to the 'Highly Visible Ninja' who'd likely have a low ass life expectancy, this... Jacob, was the far opposite.

The fact he had no outward sign of a demonic bloodline, no obvious taint on his soul or chi that'd have marked him as a practitioner of the Forbidden Techniques (Kinjutsu). Just a completely, ordinary 'brute' who was somehow hiding a hidden dagger without his notice, until it was far too late...

The fact, he was the last man standing, while the rest of his guard of likewise mercenaries where by now, unconscious. Still made his blood chill, over how hidden was Ando's guardians, to not have been spotted by his client?

... The fact his dreams since being 'captured', where full of nightmares over that betrayal, and constant tiredness that made him look just as dead as the rest of the inmates in this completely unknown prison, made him in his calm mind shudder, over what sort of protection racket this 'Ando' person had without notice?

... The fact that he was nigh tired, irate, and constantly over time falling unconscious the moment he began to recover his strength, did not help his current horror. But what he did notice while his mind wasn't thumping in tiredness, was that he's in a prison of some sort. One with barely even a toilet, or if there was. One he wasn't aware of. Just what looked like a bed, some 'shadow' like being inside the prison itself, and barely even a cloth for a bed, if at that.

... At a glance over his foggy mind, before that shadow 'awoke' and drained him entirely on his powerless body (and it was NOT a nice experience), was that his room didn't had anything he can even think of utilising before chances being, the 'shadow demon' woke up, and sucked his reserves and life...

In front of him, laid what looked like a long term prisoner, of normal background... Only, by the looks of things, he's already got the appearance of someone whose suffering from symptoms of anorexia, and being attended by weird golems, some of them more 'plush like'... And smoking?

... That was, the last time he checked the 'mundanes' by the front of the cell. While from what he deduct is beside him (given their more 'familiar' groans, before likely hearing 'draining' happen from beside the rooms), room wise where a few more of his fellow masterless ninja, of various backgrounds and bare competence. And chances are, they're just as stripped of any tool that can be used, and likely faring a bit worse than how he's doing... If nothing else, a now masterless Kunoichi of Kagemaru's, might also be on those ranks for all he knew. Given how one of them where likely female sobs, before another 'draining' happened to put her own emotions in flux?

... Still, within a day. He'd have been almost confident he might be able to bail out within a week...

That was, before he woke up the first time, and the presence of a demon being right inside his cell, and likely every other person's cell, and draining their chi, put a massive wrench of his optimistic estimate. Before it made him dread that chances are, he's going to be stuck as a prisoner...

Especially when after a day of constant sucking of reserves, and constant flux of various states of being, he's likely estimated that every captive in this prison, is stuck in a sort of 'prison farm', becoming too drained, or tired to even think of breaking out, let alone able... As he noticed a likely fate of health deterioration from a likely mundane prisoner, at one such glances.

Still, for a shady 'Demon Ninja' that he did not know was a Ninja until it was far too late, he had to give props for the security. Especially when a restrained 'check' on his meager reserves at one point, noted that the bars themselves where highly reinforced with an unknown alloy to his knowledge. But that was before he was fully drained one time, and he wasn't able to fully check if there's any similar openings...

... Especially since after that check, the 'feedings' where a bit more constant, and made him paranoid that he'd has less time to think of a breakout, before his long term chances become impossible, as will his long term health...

As was the nightmares, and it was only by his years of experience, he's barely cried in despair... Especially when that will show weakness, to the 'shadow's, before they'd likely inflict even more nightmares that made him all the more irate.

... Those where his thoughts, before his hidden scars ached upon the next time he woke up from another nightmare, which made him panic over a sudden flux of energy, and chi he had in him for a change... Before the flux made him open his eyes, before some stranger, in a dark, black and purple coat, and piercing red eyes...

... Still, despite the surprise wake up call, he noticed he was still in his 'prison' cell, with the shadow more 'clinging' to him instead, in front of a stranger who for all intents and purposes, looked way too 'tacky' to be anything but scream "Edge Lord", more than a sinister being...

... At least, that was his first, bored impression, as he then mustered the strength to rest his legs, for a bit, while trying to conserve what little of his drained chi in hand...

... After a bit of staring, and brooding over what this 'strange being', whose likely the 'Gaijin' in a more edgy disguise than what could be given credit for. Yuudai eventually became impatient, and spoke an inquiry on who he is, and why he's stuck in a cell.

Which was responded, by a sinister smile of the cloaked man, before he spoke words that were in a familiar, foreign accent... But in a more, menacing tone, befitting of a surprised Demonic Ninja.

"You may call me Ebon and as I have an offer for you." Spoke the mysterious being in slightly broken english, spoken fluently. Who is likely a Demonic Ninja called 'Ebon'...

Which clearly, didn't impressed the Ninja much, before he had to hide some semblence of surprise over the bizarre 'offer'. Before he inquired, mildly curious on what made him 'different' from every other captured ninja, to the Gaijin Ninja calling himself "Ebon".

"I know of your past, Yuudai." Said the stranger called 'Ebon', which gave him a bit of a surprise, over how he could have gotten his real name already, when his identity was hidden from others.

"I know of the wound deep inside your heart." Said the stranger, over likely noticing your hidden issues, which made him slowly realize just how much he may have known from you from a possible draining, which drew his horror, that turned to ire...

"I know of the betrayal you felt that day. I know of the heartbreak you experienced when you held your sister's -" Continued the Stranger, as he casually commented on your betrayal, that impelled you interrupted in anger, your stoic mask dropped.

HE HAD NO RIGHT TO SPEAK OF THEM! Shouted Yuudai, before his own eye twitched over that day, his clan betrayed family, before he began to angerly inquire on how he knew, while restraining the worst of his fury.

"Oh, you'll know if you joined me but for now, let's say I'm a bit out of the ordinary." Said Ebon cryptically, which made his expression darken over how he's jus- "I know exactly what you want. You've been drifting from place to place, desperately trying to find some mean to make the White Moon Clan pay, Yuudai-kun." Said the stranger, which made Yuudai's thoughts over that bastard stop, over mentioning that name in the name of vengeance...

"My offer is simple. Become my comrade, Yuudai." Said the edgy stranger, which made the masterless Ninja pause over the bizarre promise the dark ninja is offering him. "Become my comrade and gain the means to finally strike back at the White Moon clan. You will gain resources, soldiers, and most importantly, power. All you have to do is become a fellow servant of the Ebon Emperor." Said the man named Ebon, likely implying that so long as he serves him, he'd have a better shot at vengeance than what he had as a wanted ninja.

... Which, has placed the Ninja himself in shock, over how much he's learned... If he's learned too much of him, and how he could likely betray him should he think of betraying him, should be become a threat to his vengeance or have no further reason for loyalty... Which made him paranoid, on what possible catch, or reason this competent Ninja before him, would want a dishonurable ninja like him, who'd have promised vengeance against his abandoned clan...

... Upon his conflicting thoughts, over how that stranger said affecting him. Yuudai eventually rehersed a basic chi exercise, to calm his thoughts down... Before he began to assess the scenario...

This 'Ebon', likely some Ebon Emperor. No... If he were this Ebon Emperor, he'd have called himself the Emperor. And he's apparently asked for an offer for servitude as his own Ninja, is a surprising offer... One that made the professional ninja himself, a bit paranoid over how overly easy such an offer is...

... Especially when past his brutal tone, he'd barely guessed it was meant bluntly as, 'be my assassin.' ... Odd, given how he's likely already an assassin as is.

Which made him inquire what would happen, should he refuse?

"Then, you get to stay down here and become a source of energy for my powers." Said Ebon, confirming Yuudai's light suspicion on what's likely happened to every one of the prisoner's trapped here. "Considering how much strength you have, you should last quite a while. It's not like you could beat me anyway. Nobody knows you're here and nobody cares." Replied the edgy stranger, bluntly... And even if by some chance there was maybe a bartender, what difference would it make, in his line of work?

... Especially when he couldn't afford to have any ties to people, least they become collateral against his dishonored clan.

"So what is it gonna be? Will you join me or will you become my battery?" Inquired the mysterious man, in Ebony...

... Which made the ninja scoff, over such a weird offer... Yet he didn't say anything, in fear of making...

... With that, he meditated on the events, and offer he's been given as of late. While oddly not being as drained as he was before. Which gave him the time to more clearly reflect on his current situation.

He reflected on himself as is, his talents, capabilities and what he can make out of the offer, should he accept or refuse it. And his chances of being able to betray this 'Ebon' at a later date, should he be found wanting for his bold request of a Ninja without a clan, and likely discovered dishonor on top.

The betrayal he experienced by the coward of his clan leader, of all the sacrifices and risks he made, to protect his family and clan... Only for those sacrifices, to be made in vain, when that bastard had to 'save face'...

And what exactly, could he get. For a surprise offer, by an edgy Demonic Ninja... And how far, would he be willing to fall to the Forbidden Arts, in order to enact vengeance?... Especially when it have been even more impossible to resurrect the fallen... Which made Yuudai force to deal with dark thoughts, before his mind dwelt in grief again, over the temptation to research, or even think of performing Forbidden Techniques, that could damn the soul... Before he weighted in on what he'd want, what this 'Ebon' could offer, and a rough plan on what he can learn about him, in case he'd have to deal with him at some point...

... By the time Yuudai woke up from his own mediation... He felt his energy still somewhat drained, but nowhere near as drained as it was before. He might have been able to escape, given time. If not for the offer still hanging around his head, and the potential resources he could get from a shady person...

Which made Yuudai inquire, on what exactly, he can do. Under a tone of consideration, if only to get a gauge on just how he'd fare against the stranger called 'Jacob', who calls himself Ebon in a direct conflict.

Much to the cloaked stranger, smiling, before he uttered a few simple words...

"That can be arranged", said the cloaked stranger, before with a sudden wave of his hand, and crying dark flames that flowed through his arm, came a 'massive swarn' of shadows, weird golem... And a gigantic amount of Magical Artillery... Made the Chunin himself, secretly shiver in fear, over how dangerous this Ebon ninja is in truth...

... Which made him admit past a shudder over how many demons this 'Ebon' has likely binded, along with a potential to summon an Arsenal of magical weapons, that'd be able to break through a fort, that he's capable. But he was still curious, on why would he want another assassin, especially when given his talents, he'd likely not even need to think of hiring another assassin.

"I need someone to take care of the...black ops stuff, you know, the kind of things that I don't want being connected to me." Said Ebon in a brutal manner, giving you an idea on just how much responsibility he'd be asking you for.

"While I could do it myself, my time can be better spent elsewhere. That's where you come in. You once spent a year as an inside agent on one of the White Moon clan's enemies." Said the dark ninja himself, likely listing cryptically how he'd have still somehow read your entire memory.

"Your ability to seek out information, kill without leaving a trace, and sabotage enemy facilities are superior to my own much less subtle capabilities. Does that answer your question, Yuudai-san?" Said the stranger, which made Yuudai gag mentally over such a blunt statement...

... Which in hindsight, made him reflect that even if he had some tools to remain hidden. At closer inspection, he'd currently be a likely high grade Genin, with a bloodline affinity at most... Which made Yuudai himself mentally laugh over the dark irony, of having been bested by a person with a potential within the shadows themselves...

... At least he's honest. Before he had to ask one more question, given how shady the person himself is. In if he's planning on ending the world or something stupid, given his likely edgy costume.

"What!? No! My objective is to save the Ebon Emperor." Said the stranger called Ebon, which made him inquire if it's to save the one who gave him his powers? While not even thinking of mentioning his light suspicion of him being 'Jacob'.

"Correct." Said Ebon bluntly, which made the clanless shinobi himself, sigh over going through all the questions he wanted to ask, for his potential 'employer' who killed his past client... And at a glance, he's a possible 'prodigy', who might want to secretly learn how to be a more proper ninja from someone like him, which made Yuudai shudder over just how much of a headache he'd get into should he accept...

... Yet at the same time, the potential to have under employ, dark arts. And a long term reward of overdue vengeance, when trying to join another faction or clan would be futile, given his dishonour... Made Yuudai sigh, over the calculated sacrifice he'd make to the darkness, in hopes that overdue retribution might be delivered by his hand, one day.

... With that, the clanless shinobi, accepted his offer. Promising his services, so long as his new 'master' is not found wanting... While thinking of how long, until he might have a chance to even assassinate that traitorous Clan Leader, if he couldn't even beat the silent monster in dark clothing, at his current experience...

Which made the cloaked person callinig himself "Ebon," grin in a eerie grin.

"I am pleased that I now have someone to take care of all the black ops stuff." Said the stranger, as he shook your hand, as you felt the rest of your drained reserves be given back to you over time. "Now, there was just one last thing to do..." Said your master, Ebon. As he jestered Yuudai to follow him....

Unaware of just what sort of offer Yuudai himself had accepted. Or the potential of joining a faction that'd have offered him more than he initially expected to gain.

Especially when he eventually had to swear his loyalty, to the Black King himself.

Keys to the Black Kingdom
Keys to the Black Kingdom

In order to achieve your goal of saving the Ebon Emperor from true oblivion, you are required to restore the Black Kingdom to its former glory and more. Up til now, you have lacked the knowledge and the means to even begin to attempt the difficult task of rebuilding the seat of the Ebon Emperor's power. However, with the appearance of Evetta who was once the right-hand lady of one of your predecessors and the recruitment of Yuudai, the Ebon Emperor gave you a single piece of guidance before returning to dormancy once more.

The Keys to the Black Kingdom must be remade.

When you asked Evetta what this meant, Evetta was shocked that you didn't know. She had assumed that the Ebon Emperor had informed you when they made you their champion. While a little put off by this revelation, Evetta eventually explained what the Keys were.

The Keys to the Black Kingdom or Kingdom Keys were five objects of power that anchored the concept of the Black Kingdom to reality. Without them, the Black Kingdom can not exist in the material realm. In order to create the Kingdom Keys, the Ebon Lord must harness one of five different energy for each key as followed:

Soul Essence for the Soul Crown.

Magic Power for the Book of Ebon.

Life Energy for the Grand Mantle.

Vehemic Energy for the Black Sword.

Purity for the Ever-Heart.

Five Keys to the Black Kingdom. Each requires immense amount of energy to create them. It will definitely take time and a lot of effort to create just one key. Not to mention how the hell you were meant to harvest something like violence, which was what vehemic energy essentially was!?

Still, you now have a way to get started on creating the Black Kingdom. With each Key, you'd gain access to the part of the Black Kingdom that was connected to the key. Once all five Kingdom Keys were made, the throne of the Black King would appear, restoring the strength of the Ebon Emperor and allowing them to take their rightful place in their seat of power.

Fortunately, Evetta had some idea of what went into the process of creating any one of these keys. She was the former second in command of her Ebon Lord after all. She was also familiar with the methods needed to harvest vehemic energy so there's not going to many problems there at least.

It was now simply a matter of deciding which Key you should go after first.

A plan to rebuild the Black Kingdom in order to save the Ebon Emperor has been created. Five objects of great power known as the Keys to the Black Kingdom or Kingdom Keys for short must be created to anchor the Black Kingdom to Reality. Each Kingdom Key will require different methods to create and will no doubt stir up the melting pot of supernatural powers that is Las Angeyoto.

Choose which Kingdom Key to focus your efforts upon.

[ ] The Soul Crown
- The symbol of the Ebon Emperor's rulership over all things that live and die in this world, the crown that grants dominion over the powers of life and death, such is the Soul Crown. The soul essence that binds together the structure of a thousand souls, melted down and forged by the flames of heaven and hell to craft this piece of the Black King's regalia. The Living and the Dead must pay their due to the Black King.

[ ] The Book of Ebon - An archive that holds the cumulative knowledge of those conquered by the Black Kingdom, both past and present, a veritable collection of artifacts and technology stolen from those that have fallen against the Ebon Emperor, it is the symbol of the Ebon Emperor's wisdom. One thousand, one hundred, one ten, and one pages must be filled with the Mana directly extracted from the Magic Core.

[ ] The Grand Mantle - The lifeforce of ten thousand protects the wearer. The lifeforce of ten thousand rejuvenates the mortal flesh and caresses the soul. The lifeforce of ten thousand becomes the hammer that crushes all before it. The lifeforce of ten thousand becomes Might unparalleled. The lifeforce of ten thousand guards the Black Kingdom.

[ ] The Black Sword - The symbol of violence and war. Violence is life's most primal force, an eternal force that will never disappear as long as life exists. Violence for the sake of others. Violence for the sake of one's self. Violence for the sake of Violence. All becomes fuel for the might of the Black Kingdom. The vehemic energy of a city at war with itself would bring forth the sword of the Black King.

[ ] The Ever-Heart - The Kingdom's Heart, that which binds the hearts of all who follow the Ebon Emperor together as one. As long as power flows through the Ever-Heart, none who follow the Black King shall be found wanting in strength, both mind, body, and soul. Seven souls of pure light and seven souls of pure darkness must become one to start the beating of the Black Kingdom's Heart.

[x] The Book of Ebon - An archive that holds the cumulative knowledge of those conquered by the Black Kingdom, both past and present, a veritable collection of artifacts and technology stolen from those that have fallen against the Ebon Emperor, it is the symbol of the Ebon Emperor's wisdom. One thousand, one hundred, one ten, and one pages must be filled with the Mana directly extracted from the Magic Core.

We can be a villain, but we are a smart one!

[X] The Ever-Heart - The Kingdom's Heart, that which binds the hearts of all who follow the Ebon Emperor together as one. As long as power flows through the Ever-Heart, none who follow the Black King shall be found wanting in strength, both mind, body, and soul. Seven souls of pure light and seven souls of pure darkness must become one to start the beating of the Black Kingdom's Heart

I like to start from the foundation. The Fuel, then the knowledge and the ways to channel that Fuel

Spells are options, and having more options is always a good thing.

This sounds like an excellent Key to start with, since it'll give us tons of knowledge to work on the others with.

Hm. I'm going to guess at what we're going to have to do for these keys.

[ ] The Soul Crown - The symbol of the Ebon Emperor's rulership over all things that live and die in this world, the crown that grants dominion over the powers of life and death, such is the Soul Crown. The soul essence that binds together the structure of a thousand souls, melted down and forged by the flames of heaven and hell to craft this piece of the Black King's regalia. The Living and the Dead must pay their due to the Black King.
This one looks simplest. Gather a thousand souls and forge them into the crown. It doesn't look like the souls need to be really special?

Get a bunch of mana. Looks like Doll will be most helpful with making this bit. Which leaves the problem of getting so much mana.
[ ] The Ever-Heart - The lifeforce of ten thousand protects the wearer.
Uh, it looks like we need ten thousand loyal minions sacrificed to make this one? A bit strange that this one is ten thousand while the crowns a thousand.
We have a city with a bunch of different factions who are pretty unaware of each other. Looks like getting them to all fight each other in a battle royal would maybe work? We'd have to make sure that they don't realize us as a common enemy though. And we live in this city. I'd assume that war is bad for the economy.

Seven pure hearted princesses of light ala kingdom hearts plus seven pitch black evil souls equal the ever heart. It looks like this one calls for drops from the final boss and the protagonists.

Looking at this, I'm going to have to go for
[X] The Soul Crown

In order (And I wrote a rough 2.5K Omake yet to be index'd, my speculation on likely order/priority...

ALSO, noticed a typo with options, with Grand Mantle being Ever-Heart, twice... :p
Keys to the Black Kingdom

Book of Ebon 'seems' to in the short term, be easiest to achieve. Given the likelyhood of technology at hand, and possible 'mild' sacrifices/extractions at hand, we can do it over time, without causing too much of a stir in the short term, I'd bet/feel. Doubly so when 'Internet' is at hand, ready for stealing of enemy technology. :p

Soul Crown at a glance, would be a bit 'simpler' to handle, especially if it'd be on the road to dealing with ghosts, or possibly be a possible loyalty reinforcement with Yuudai, if we can revive his 'dead siblings' say. But just because it might be 'easy', doesn't mean it wouldn't piss of say, Reapers?

Grand Mantle as we are now, don't think we'd be viable. Unless we eventually get to the stage of causing a 'Ten Thousand Sacrifice/Genocide', or over time, cause a 'Ten Thousand' murders/sacrifices. Likely best focused on while war is at hand, especially if it can lead to a "Tens of Thousands" Tier in casualties.

Black Sword, if we're going on a long term 'training' montage, might be able to use Jacob/Ebon himself, as 'part' of the Black Sword process. But that'd likely take too much time to extract, say. More realistically, unless we've got a war afoot, likely to not be worth pursuing... Unless of course, we can set things up in advance to trigger a 'Ninja Revenge War' to deal with possible 'competition' against Ando's camp, 'say'... Including that White Moon Clan that Yuudai has a vendetta against.

And lastly...

Ever-Heart (Easiest way to not risk it, is likely long term diplomacy on key light factions, would be 'ideal'. Though given villain protagonist-ship, may need alternative routes in mind. Overall, 'ideal' way/means would be try and target mundane or close enough 'pure of hearts', and darkness... 'Maybe', set up possible light/dark romance shipping to aid in the harmony process... While ideally, not tipping off/peeving others.

-

So overall, if I'm betting in priority...

Book of Ebon (Likely, 'easy' to do first, while we set up base, technology share/gain, and eventual setting up on war against unworkable/worthy/est factions...)
Soul Crown (unless we have a war, ripe for harvesting the Black Sword.)
Black Sword (Once war is brewing/near tipping point, focus on that to start the war, with violence.)
Grand Mantle (Once we go say, 'End gear' on a war. End it with a tactical sacrifice, say... Or when we have a good enough 'force' to dedicate their lives... Maybe Shadows could count?)
Ever-Heart (Likely in a way, possibly best left to last... Unless Heroine of Light does something interventiony on this field. Either way, I might advocate it under a background set up, ensure there's roughly half a dozen 'spares' on top if possible, est.)

So, past likely voting for

[X] Book of Ebon

Try and keep in mind the likely pacing/ordering of other items, and how they might peeve/trigger key factions, and try and think of ways to work around, or bulldoze through said factions in preparation for a 'training period' before we have to deal with Light/Dark shenanigans.

[X] The Black Sword - The symbol of violence and war. Violence is life's most primal force, an eternal force that will never disappear as long as life exists. Violence for the sake of others. Heart is gonna be a Bitch to deal with...

We're gonna need to sacrifice 14 individuals, 7 pure of heart and 7 full of true evil.

That is Not as simple as it would seem.

And that's Still the smallest cost in numbers for summoning stuff.

Actually...

Looking at it, Soul Crown actually seems like the quickest one for us to make. We already have access to Devils, and thus hellfire. All we really need is to get Access to Hellfire, find some angels and get access to the Flames of Heaven, then sacrifice a thousand souls to reforge the Crown.

The Book would require us to basically steal Tons of mana from all over. Gonna suck, that.

The Mantle seems like it straight up just needs Ten Thousand souls sacrificed to make it.

The Blade needs an entire city at war with itself... that'll be fun.

The heart is already described.

Also, GM! You accidentally put Ever-Heart twice! Took the Mantles spot it did!
