[X] ...Want me to teach you how to use a sword?

Oh boy oh boy! I never imagined I could feel such BOUNDLESS RAEG at a fictional empire!

Well, the visit to the library was as much propaganda as I expected it to be.... and bad news in general, really.

[X] Hug Her.
[X] We don't have time to talk. We must leave immediately.

It's nice to have the QM's confirmation of nobody having recognized Zelda yet. However, I believe Link expects Zelda to have a major breakdown once she learns what Link got from his visit to the library. I doubt they have time for that here and now. Let Zelda learn later today, after they leave the inn (which they don't have any money left to stay another night) and Castle Town, in a place where she can have her breakdown in peace.

Guys just to point something out. its probably around Midday ingame and we need to be out of the city as soon as possible. We don't have time for Zelda to have a breakdown over what Link learned at the Library. We have time for maybe one or two questions but then we have to get moving. Only once we are away from the castle town and moving toward Lanayru can we consider even telling her the bad news. We shouldn't wait too long though but once we are in a safe location by ourselves can we risk telling her and only then.

And then we'll get the most memetic phrases from the CD-I games...
LIke "Only Link can defeat Ganon" which explains why Ganondorf is such a badass in this particular incarnation because they're on the same side, which makes Ganondorf unbeatable. Or Zelda looking at the Sheikah slate: "Here is the map. Where would you like to go?" Perhaps an ambitious ship captain saying "skwa-dah-lah, we're off"?

"Join me Link, and I will make your DINNER the greatest in The Mushroom Kingdom! Or else you will tell Yoshi bedtime story".

"...No?" *odd music plays*

They say she died. Who knows if that's really what happened.
I am going to go with Mipha being in hiding like Zelda is and when Link and Zelda show up they will inadvertently spark an insurrection where the Zora throw off the shackles of slavery and enact some well earned revenge. then they shall disappear into the rivers and sea to prepare for war against the empire and the eventual restoration of the Monarchies IE Mipha and Zelda on their respective thrones.

That'd be nice.
I really don't Mipha to be dead, I really liked her.

So...update notes:

Sheikah Slate: magic PDF document scanner with AI we still don't really have in the real world. Cool!
Aww shucks you mean we're not going to do the whole "I borrowed a book from the castle town library and it's now, uhh, six months overdue oops" thing?
Map update!

Lots of people in Lanayru. Low citizen count, and all of them rich. Zoras with topaz-encrusted shock collars. Oh, yes, I'm going to enjoy walking in there and setting things right, because there's approximately all of it that's wrong. Rice fields and mining employ lots of people and make them suffer. What's betting there's some kind of debt-slavery trick, or a "company store putting you further in debt than you can get out by working" trick going on?

If the Empire's crack troops are here, that probably means that the "feral" Zoras are more of a Zora Resistance.

Propaganda! The Empire is great at propaganda, so pretty much none of these books can be trusted with regard to the Empire or what came before.

Particularly...if the Zoras "didn't offer their healers", then how did the Queen and her handmaidens die "under their care"? That's an extremely basic inconsistency that anybody with a level of reading comprehension should have questioned.

Considering the Empire doesn't provide extreme detail on the deaths of the prince and princess (and slanders them), "struck down" could be that they were wounded and then they fled into the water, the Empire figuring "nobody could survive that". The King probably went crazy with grief and the Duke rolled in and stomped everything under his control.

Old non-Empire data! Hey, finally something we can trust! Whiiiiich says that the Zora siblings were probably CHILDREN. Okay, now I'm really going to enjoy going in there and setting things right, complete with eviscerating the Duke.

So Dad was good friends with the King. Whiiiich explains why he felt like he lost everything and decided to go home.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Seagull. Marin. And Dad came from the Wolf side of the family.

More propaganda. Canonize the darling of the people and cast blame on everyone else (rather neatly getting both king and queen in one swoop).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Yiga came for Zelda and her father protected her while she ESCAPED through the moat.

As for the vote?

We need to get out so that we can talk on the road so the breakdown happens well away from the city.

Also we should try to meet with the "Feral" Zora as soon as possible.

What if Mipha is alive but Sidon is dead?
Well... from what we saw of Mipha? I liked her more than Sidon.
And we had a game with the guy, so changing it around so Mipha is alive would be nice.

Yep, it's going to be really fun killing that asshole.
Or, really, anyone who is with the evil empire here.

Right just saw this.

We are the safest we can be right now in a soundproof room with no one aware we are in the city.

Panicking when there is absolutely no reason too is pointless.

Who said anything about Panicking. I was just saying that we need to leave ASAP. one or two questions is fine but we only 1 or 2 then we have to get going.

The problem is Zelda will need some time to get over the initial shock and process these news and we can't stay here: it's probably time for us to leave the room anyway as we don't have any money to stay another night.

Zelda will demand to know what's wrong, and Link isn't winning an argument with Zelda. The Triforce of Courage isn't that powerful.

Zelda is REALLY bad with the sword we probably shouldn't spend time moving her from shit to ok that could better be spent doing other stuff
