Nice update, good intel and solid characterization for Isara and her view of Eggman. Conflicted, knowing the harm he has done and is capable of doing, but also seeing that he has changed somewhat and has the capacity to change further. The incorporation of the omakes was also really cool.

Cordelia has joined Isara's sheet. Raising her Heart stat by 5 and Logistics by 1, bonus becomes +5 on administrative logistic actions.
+5 Bonus to all Darcsen related actions.

Isara has also become a hero ball. Isara having 30 Heart is very good Sorry Belle, but you're in fourth place now in Heart matters RIP. Going from 29 to 34 Logistics is also fantastic.

If Isara gets into a fight and is in a tank or another vehicle that would require multiple people, does Cordelia fight with her? Would it have just been one of her random Darcsen helpers? I wonder...

Should we launch a counter attack next turn?

I'd be cool with it, but more people seem to want to get Sleet and Dingo for Axel first. If nothing else, the tournament means that we don't have Metal available as our strongest fighter anyways.

That said, have been thinking about Badniks to use when we go on the offensive. Who wants to use Fire Breaths on the Empire? What with their Ragnite arsenal being weak to heat and all?

If I had a choice between making Metal Selvaria, or getting the real one on our side, I'd rather get the real thing. She has had it hard, she deserves to be under the thumb of someone who hasn't groomed her into becoming a weapon.

I'm very much the opposite myself. Could take or leave her, but definitely want Metal Selvaria.
If we had her, we'd be using her as a weapon ourselves. Granted, we'd treat her better, but we would want her to be a weapon.

Holding Selvaria... Cordelia should know about the Final Flame, we'd basically need to keep her sedated the whole time. Or do some prep work to nullify it.

Even if we kidnapped Selvaria, she wouldn't work for us. She would probably just nuke herself, and even if she didn't I don't think we could convince her to rebel against the Empire

Would any of prisons be enough to hold Selvaria though?
With all the incredibly powerful people who we are going to be fighting, making an insane super prison that will rival most structures will probably become a necessity.

Good thing we're playing as a guy who has a reputation for building monolithic structures and weapons, or else this would be near impossible.

Actually, one point against kidnapping Selvaria if we want to make Metal Selvaria.

Metals can only become full hero units if they defeat their original in combat. Spars presumably don't count. That's going to be a lot harder if Selvaria isn't an enemy.

Heck, if he gets her too easily, is it possible that Eggman might not even care enough to make Metal Selvaria in the first place?

This has become a common topic on the discord and we thought of a couple options the sphere of fear the egg grapes or even pulling a "Big house" and shrinking all the prisoners and putting them in a tiny model prison that ones my favorite

If we build egg grapes, I would like to avoid using the original's slow agonizing death feature.
If we torture all of the people we bother to capture, they won't exactly make a good hostage or source of information.

RESULTS:

Isara has managed to convince Cordelia to put her trust in Eggman, has learned that currently Selvaria Bles is possible out of comission and housed in the Imperial Palace.

Cordelia is willing to assist Eggman in exchange of freeing Gallia and assisting the Darcsen.

Cordelia has joined Isara's sheet. Raising her Heart stat by 5 and Logistics by 1, bonus becomes +5 on administrative logistic actions.
+5 Bonus to all Darcsen related actions.
QM NOTE: Sorry for taking so long with the update, IRL had really kept me busy. But we are slowing returning to our usual pace.

Hope you guys enjoy the update!

Oh men, was hopping to score a Hero Unit.

Would be nice to have another Heart Hero to free Canaan, I guess she would become one if Eggman have talked with her.

So I'd rather not debut any new tech fighting the Empire. If they're weak we should hit them, but we've got no shortage of heavy hitters.

I'd actually love to expand the intrigue network in the Empire and broaden our ability to extract people and input support for rebels/partisans.

From a cursory glance of Cordelia's minor wiki entry it seems like she doesn't have a primary love interest or husband. A political marriage comes to mind.

I . . . actually think that'd be a funny interaction between Cordelia and Eggman during their meeting. Eggman being somewhat flummoxed/blindsided and generally being very Human/Comedic Eggman about it rather than Unnerving/Terrifying about it.

Cordelia brings up the obvious Noble political move of offering a political marriage to secure the kingdom and Eggman says "??? Huhh?? Uhh, flattered! but uh I gotta work on me right now and it's just all very troubling right now for me it's not a good time and really I'd be punching the Empire anyway you don't have to do all that for me to do that because he's in my way and also I just don't really know you very well and I'm just so busy with conquest and building and I just don't think HEY DID YOU KNOW THE OCEAN?! It's there! I'm building navy for it! You want Darcsen extracted by navy!? I can do navy! Me go make robot navy now! Good talk!" -walks out a door only to realize it's a closet- -stays in closet rather than confronting his strange reaction-

He'd probably not react so poorly. But it's a funny idea I had

I also don't know how normal political marriages are in Valkyria Chronicles land, but from the vibes I'd assume they're pretty normal/common for Nobility and only now starting to not be as common as the world industrializes

EDIT: MY CURSORY GLANCE DIDN'T INCLUDE AGE AHHHHHHHHH

Uhh bro Cordelia is 16 and Eggman is… a lot older than that

Isn't that basically just like the old nobility during the early parts of Europe?

Still not great for modern standards yeah but kinda on brand even if it is messed up.

Galia is a modern nation, like 1930's the concept of political marriege is likely something that is out of fashion by then and really only pratice between nobility, and Eggman would not consider political marriage, probably would see as antiquate and primitive as well. Besides he is no noble.

Point is, Gallia would be willing to accept a vassal state without a political marriage since they are not in the medieval ages.

Now can we please drop it?

I find this topic weird.

We'll need to confirm if throwing fire at Ragnite troops does anything, cause we haven't actually seen any elemental weaknesses in action yet.

But point on Selvaria. We do want her Metal version and it'll probably end up better for her if we don't kidnap her.

Holding Selvaria... Cordelia should know about the Final Flame, we'd basically need to keep her sedated the whole time. Or do some prep work to nullify it.

Also that. We're going to want to nix the Final Flame regardless of our plans for her. Getting that up might take more time than it will take for her to recover.

This has become a common topic on the discord and we thought of a couple options the sphere of fear the egg grapes or even pulling a "Big house" and shrinking all the prisoners and putting them in a tiny model prison that ones my favorite

Oh I do like that last one. How would we do it though?

*Spitakes* I-uh. Well that's a plan! ...That I'm pretty sure we'd veto in and out of universe.

Though it is kind of funny that we'll likely end up getting Cordie's approval even before we start talking to her. Considering we'll likely be making the road next turn if we aren't going to go after Selvie.

...You know it's kind of weird how honorable we'll unintentionaly be being to Selvaria if we go for force of arms.

Eggman- "Kidnap one of my most dangerous enemies? NONSENSE! I have no need of such roundabout methods. We will face her on the field of battle and overcome her with the merits of my own metal and my own steel! Then they will know who their better is!"

Weirdly enough she'd probably appreciate that.

THIS IS TERRIBLE MY CURSORY GLANCE OF THE WIKI DIDN'T SEE AN AGE I THOUGHT SHE WAS LIKE, THE OLDER QUESTGIVER TO THE YOUNG HEROES AHHHH

One way to find out! And that's to burn them alive!

We weren't going after her in the first place. Egg Road was already a concession just so that we can buckle down and focus on Clutch afterwards.

Oh I do like that last one. How would we do it though?
We technically can already what with shrinking sonic to 1/3rd his size on little planet for gameplay but Adventures and Fleetway have a more intense version. Adventures can shrink you to in his own word's "no bigger than a flea" while Fleetway can go to the subatomic level.
