Harry And The Shipgirls: Prisoner of Shipping (A HP/KanColle Snippet Collection)

Simply nodding in the direction of the envelope, the Flying Claws smiled a little bit, "That is the letter that Master said was sent to you by those two girls in Ravenclaw, correct? Cho Chang and Su Li?"
I remember that. So they're finally getting that meeting.
Hmm… it is relatively straightforward it would seem. They wish to have a meeting with you to hold a conversation regarding a possible trade in knowledge."
Among other things yes.
What little that I have come across in my own investigations show that they are very much unlike the Caos, however, so that is a point in their favor.
They would also have had unpleasant run ins with the Caos over the centuries so getting in good with more allies who don't like the Mad Cow is a good idea.
Laughing some, the two-tailed Kitsune shook her head, "True enough, Harry-Chan, and I am looking forward to that." After a moment, she tilted her phone screen towards him, "As to why I called you over… look at this."

Only raising an eyebrow, Harry turned his attention to the phone screen and blinked as he was looking at a Japanese forum. In particular, a post showing a gif of Hedwig shifting from owl to human though she kept her wings, "Wait… was that taken in Yokosuka?"
Hedwig is the newest sensation in Japan. :D
With a nod, Natsumi turned to look at him, "Hai, it was as a matter of fact." She then slowly scrolled down, "There's more pictures of Hedwig here and they're trying to figure out what sort of Yokai she is."

It went without saying that caused the teenage boy to blink, "… They think that Hedwig is some sort of Yokai?"
I mean it's a reasonable assumption to make.
Very much interested, Harry leaned in and read with a slight frown on his face. After a few moments, his eyebrows rose, "Wait, this post is saying that she's some kind of Tartarimokke?"

Lips twitching some, the Kitsune nodded, "Hai, they think that she might be one or a foreign version."

Completely taken aback, Harry stared, "How? I mean… that doesn't make any sense." Motioning with a hand, he shook his head, "Tartarimokke are just normal owls that usually have been possessed by the souls of deceased infants."
Thats a Yokai I've never heard of.
Raising a finger, Natsumi shook her head a bit, "They can also be possessed by people who were murdered as well. And they can be pretty powerful."

Still frowning, the wizard considered that before slowly shaking his head, "Hai, they do have powers… but generally that is to bring bad luck to those that have wronged them, and good luck to those that they care for. Maybe create spectral flames and such, or talk in some cases… but I have never heard of one able to transform."
Reminds me of The Crow movies.
Actually? There's already a few stories floating around of people meeting 'Fukurou no Hito'."

Going through said stories for a few minutes, the fourteen-year-old wizard snorted some as he read through the stories and saw some of the pictures. It was fairly obvious when reading through them that some of the "Stories" were basically copypasta.
Congratulations Hedwig, youve got copypasta. Now dread the possibility of creepypasta about yourself.
There even were some drawings of them, which amused Harry more than a little, "Got to admit… kind of interesting and it is going to be funny to see what Hedwig's reaction to them will be."

A grin appearing on her face, Natsumi released a loud laugh, "Oh, I am so looking forward to seeing how Hedwig-Chan is going to be reacting to this. It will likely prove to be completely and utterly hilarious!"
Yes we want to know how she reacts as well.
Right then, said owl spoke up having entered the Head Boy's/Head Girl's quarters, "What would be hilarious about how I shall react, Harry-Wizard? Natsumi-Fox?"
Speak of owl! She's here!
Just sharing a look between them, the wizard and Kitsune grinned before gesturing her over. It took a few minutes, but Harry cocked an eyebrow at seeing how flustered Hedwig was, "Well? What do you think?"

Placing a hand over her face, the owl tried to fight off the obvious embarrassment that she was feeling, "I… am unsure…" She then pointed at one story before frowning, "Though… that one I do in fact remember as having happened."
A flustered Hedwig! Quick take a picture of this extremely rare occasion!
Rapidly blinking, Harry turned and read the story, which from the description was fairly close to Hedwig and he turned towards her, "Wait… that one is true?" At her nod, he winced a little bit as he glanced back at the story, which talked about a young woman who got cornered in an alleyway by some men who tried to tear her clothes off… only for a woman with owl wings and talons dropped in and stopped them rather brutally, "… That happened?"
Now there's a boggle. So Hedwig really did do some vigilante justice.

She is the night, she is Hedwig!
That got him a shrug from the Kitsune beside him before their attention was grabbed by the door to the room opening to reveal Ren stepping out into the open. It took a few moments, but both teens had their eyes widen at the sight of the fox spirit seeing as she traded out her usual outfit for a modified one consisting of a pair of Karategi pants and a sports bra with her feet ensconced inside of a pair of Kung Fu shoes. But mainly, the teens' attention fell on one particular aspect.

Mainly that Ren's abs were on full display for all to see.
Heh! Heh! Ren unknowingly uses tempting abs on display. It's very effective.šŸ˜‚
Realizing that her boyfriend and girlfriend were silent, the Martial Artist blinked before noticing their stares and feeling some heat rise up in her cheeks while a small piece of her felt like a tasty morsal in front of two predators, "Um… Harry-Kun? Natsumi-Chan? Is… something the matter?"
Kek! Ren is in danger. Delicious danger.
Her breath catching some as she felt him pull her closer while Natsumi pressed into her, Ren swallowed, "And what is that exactly?"

Leaning towards her ear, Natsumi smirked, "Whatever else, Ren-Chan? But some good luck kisses before we let you go~"

It goes without saying that it was a very happy and slightly breathless Martial Artist that left Gryffindor Tower…
It's a very, very good day to be Ren.

The Spirits Of May (XIII)

Potions Classroom, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Thursday Morning, 14th May 2015

'As full of spirit as the month of May, and as gorgeous as the sun in Midsummer..' -- William Shakespeare, Henry the Fourth Part 1, Act IV scene i

'Sometimes, occasions occur in life which demand you to be a little foolish in order to skillfully extricate yourself.' -- FranƧois de La Rochefoucauld

"Hey Sis! How was Divination?" Flora called out as she spotted her other half through the throng of Third Year Gryffindor and Slytherin students chatting outside the door as they steadily filed inside into Potions Class.

Hestia Carrow smiled at her twin, hugged Flora gently in welcome, then began to head into class.

"It went well. We did Palmistry and Professor Trelawney said that there was doom and disaster in my fortune. 'A great crisis that shall forever change your life as your stability is blown away by the winds of fate!'" Hestia gave an eye roll alongside a bad rendition of Professor Sybil 'Doom And Disaster Are At Hand' Trelawney's ominous voice in her Welsh-accented English. "I peeked inside Snape's class and didn't see you. What happened to make you run late for Potions?"

Flora shrugged while keeping track out of the corner of her eye as a transparent orange spider lurking in earshot followed her and her sister. "I forgot something in the dorm so had to run and get it. Remember how du Chasteler purchased some charms for academic success over New Year's that she gave to all her friends and allies?"

Hestia's eyes slightly narrowed as she walked alongside her twin to their assigned workstation. "Yes I do, you think that we'll need them for class today? They might not do much, but every little bit helps."

Flora handed over one of the two omamori charms that she had picked up from their dorm room in the interlude between elective classes and Potions -- which was not for academic success but instead for detection of hostile spirits -- as the twins reached the work station. As the charm changed hands, Flora quietly hissed out in Parseltongue: "{Zabini's making his move on us at long last. There's one of his spider spirits following us around now.}"

Hestia took the charm, put it in her pocket, and deliberately didn't let her gaze linger on the (now visible to her) spider spirit. Instead, she busied herself with putting on her protective gloves, apron, and face shield. "I guess I owe you one today, Sis. What did you have in mind?"

Flora rinsed off her hands. "Let's hit the Library of Secrets after classes for some reading material."

Hestia smiled at her twin and commented after Severus Snape entered to loudly announce that there would be a surprise quiz covering Girding Potion, Wideye Potion, and Doxycide. "That was very smart of you to pick up charms to help us students. We'll have to thank du Chasteler when we see her next for getting us them! And I agree with a library trip."

First Floor, Library of Secrets, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Thursday Evening, 14th May 2015

"CAW CAW!!"

Flora smirked triumphantly as she noticed that their eavesdropper had followed them via the spell that had transported her and her sister to the Library of Secrets. Then, she smiled lovingly at her twin as she looked around, with the smile growing fond at the sight of a juvenile Ehren's backside as the Prussian marched determinedly toward the stairs down. "Fewer people than I'd expect down here, think all the Ravenclaws are enjoying the various festival sights like Professor Flitwick demonstrating dueling against that Japanese witch again... Kotegiri's her name, right?"

Hestia pulled Flora in for a deep kiss after ostentatiously looking around to confirm that they were 'alone' once they watched Ehren's avatar head down the stairs to Second Floor. "I think that's her name, but enough about her. Let's reserve a reading room, fy nghariad bach {my little darling}. I can't live without your touches and kisses!"

Flora returned the kiss then headed to the counter where the House Elves ran the rentals of the reading rooms down here. Flora paid the eight Sickles fee to rent room #6, then took the key in the hand that wasn't holding Hestia's hand. She gently squeezed Hestia as they walked hand in hand to the room, unlocked it, and stepped inside -- pausing long enough to allow the spider to follow them in.

"Better throw up some privacy wards, fy nghariad gwyn {my white darling}" Flora said as she waved her wand and began to cast privacy wards. "Wouldn't do to be disturbed. Even though this isn't the dangerous part of the Library, we have to worry about other students and the like."

Hestia followed suit with her own set of privacy wards, ignoring the spider now in the room with them. "True, fy nghariad bach {my little darling}. I'd hate to have one of the professors or, worst of all, Argus Filch, barge in here to catch us with our knickers down!"

Flora giggled naughtily, then passionately kissed Hestia. "I know that what we're doing is wrong, especially 'keeping it in the family' like we've been doing. But 'the only person who can satisfy a Carrow's lusts is another Carrow', as our parents taught us so well...." She kissed her way to Hestia's ear, and hissed out in Parseltongue. "{Time to put on a real show for our secret admirer. Bet we can make that hideous spider blush red?}"

Hestia nodded with a grin, then began to desperately pull at Flora's school uniform. "And I have so many desires for you to satisfy, fy nghariad bach {my little darling}...."

The spider froze with all eight eyes intently fixed on what then happened, not even so much as twitching.

Exhibition Grounds, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Blaise Zabini's cheeks heated uncontrollably while he stood in the crowd that was watching Professor Flitwick having yet another friendly sparring match with Masamune-no-Musashi.

His attention was actually elsewhere in the castle thanks to one of his servant spirits alerting him that something important was happening with its assigned targets.

He couldn't stop watching through that minion's eight eyes as a pair of twin Welsh green-eyed and dark-haired witches performed illicit acts straight out of Nunnery's spiciest stories before finally fixing their school uniforms, grabbing a few random books from the Library of Secrets' upper shelves, and returning to Hogwarts for dinner as if nothing had happened.

He never noticed how both Kozma Doroteya and Draco Malfoy triumphantly observed his blush and other subtle signs of arousal while the dark-haired Hungarian vampire possessively clung to Draco's arm and endured the angry glares of Pansy Parkinson.

Nor did he notice the smugly joyful glitter in Ehren du Chasteler's steel-blue eyes as the First Year Hufflepuff watched him fall further into the trap that Draco had ordered for her and the others to set so that their pawn could play his intended role....

...switched the L and I, and added a word.

Draco and Ehren are doubtless thinking the same thing.

Oh yes ~. Blaise is certainly....paying very close attention to this.
He couldn't stop watching through that minion's eight eyes as a pair of twin Welsh green-eyes and dark-haired witches performed illicit acts straight out of Nunnery's spiciest stories before finally fixing their school uniforms, grabbing a few random books from the Library of Secrets' upper shelves, and returning to Hogwarts for dinner as if nothing had happened.

And so the spider has been unknowingly caught in his own web.

Something which meant, of course, that the exhibition matches were going to be held soon to give all the gathered students and faculty something to watch. And it was a sight that Harry was definitely looking forward to.
Fight club!
Simply nodding in the direction of the envelope, the Flying Claws smiled a little bit, "That is the letter that Master said was sent to you by those two girls in Ravenclaw, correct? Cho Chang and Su Li?"

Nodding a little big, Harry turned back to the letter, "Hai, it is as a matter of fact." Then, he held it out to her to take, "Want to read it?"

Her lips twitching some, Huixing bobbed her head slightly, "Of course." Taking the letter, she briefly scanned it for spells before opening it and beginning to read, "Hmm… it is relatively straightforward it would seem. They wish to have a meeting with you to hold a conversation regarding a possible trade in knowledge."
Now what could they possibly trade with him?
Not answering right away, Huixing leaned back and thought over her answer, "I will admit, from what I can tell, their families came about after Master and my sisters left the Middle Kingdom for Japan, and so I cannot tell you much regarding them. What little that I have come across in my own investigations show that they are very much unlike the Caos, however, so that is a point in their favor.
Admitedly, that's not a high bar to clear.
Motioning with one hand, she shook her head, "Unfortunately, not too much currently, but enough to make several guesses. Both families are relatively large and powerful in the local magical Chinese diaspora, having come from Lingnam."
I believe you mean Ling Nan.

Lingnam is apparently a Chinese restaurant chain in the Philippines.
Slowly nodding, Huixing smiled some, "Hai, I also found out from sources that Master's family know that both families are generally held in good regard by spirits and the like for not having had the pitfalls that many who walk the Path have had over the years. Enough that they have talked and traded information before with those that others would have considered unworthy."
That makes them nicer than 90% of Taoist portrayed in novels.
Only raising an eyebrow, Harry turned his attention to the phone screen and blinked as he was looking at a Japanese forum. In particular, a post showing a gif of Hedwig shifting from owl to human though she kept her wings, "Wait… was that taken in Yokosuka?"
Hedwig, you're an internet star!
Needless to say, Harry very slowly blinked at that before looking down at the posts. Holding out his hand, Natsumi gave her phone to him and he slowly scrolled through it with his eyebrows raising more and more. Once he was done, he handed back the phone with a bemused expression on his face, "So… they seem to think that Hedwig is some sort of foreign Yokai who can transform between human and owl, while keeping aspects of their animal form in human form?"

Lips twitching, the Kitsune nodded at that, "Hai, as a matter of fact that does seem to be exactly what they're saying."
Well, that's not too far off as a theory.
Head cocked to the side, Harry continued to have a bemused look on his face, "I sort of like how they seem to think that there are others like her…"
And with how belief can shape reality when it comes to the existence of yokai...

Right then, said owl spoke up having entered the Head Boy's/Head Girl's quarters, "What would be hilarious about how I shall react, Harry-Wizard? Natsumi-Fox?"
Speak of the owl and the owl shall appear!
With a slow nod, Hedwig tilted her head, "It did indeed happen, Harry-Wizard, though it was only two men, not four. And I simply picked them up by their collars before dropping them from a second story. Still, the woman was rather thankful and I told her that she should leave before any more problems came. I kept an eye on the two groaning excuses for humanity until the police came and hooted, flying out with that woman with another officer seeing me. Did not realize that she knew it was I, however."
Hedwig is a nighttime superhero!
Simply shrugging, Hedwig bobbed her head, "A few, Harry-Wizard, when I am out and flying about to stretch my wings. Usually, cases where someone is being mugged and I simply swoop in, grab the one doing the crime, and drop them a distance away… or simply swoop down with a kick between the shoulders or head." Not noticing Harry's thoughtful expression, she shook her head, "Still, I can state that there are none others like myself."
Hedwig is one of a kind.
But mainly, the teens' attention fell on one particular aspect.

Mainly that Ren's abs were on full display for all to see.
They know what they like and aren't afraid to make it known.
His eyes meeting hers, the wizard raised a finger, "On the one hand… I like the way you look right now, Ren-Chan. And I will admit, part of me is happy that practically everyone who lays eyes on you will know exactly what I, or rather Hiiragi, have. Same with Natsumi-Chan. On the other hand…"

Natsumi finished for him, nodding slowly as she licked her lips some, "On the other hand, there is a little bit of jealousy that others are going to see this."
The duality of those wonderful abs.
Inside of her mind, the teenage Kitsune could hear a certain Vixen happily hum, '{Oh yes… a Catch-22 as they call such things. And I do agree… while you want to show off something that others shall never be able to touch, you can also feel jealous and frustrated that they shall be able to see such.}'
The Ero-kitsune agrees!
Unknown to either of them, the Kitsune/Huli-Jing's extremely deep blush was mostly because of the fact that the way that the two of them were embracing her reminded her of a number of dreams that she had over the past few months regarding things in the future. Clearing her throat, Ren slowly nodded at that with a shy smile, "I am very glad to hear that."
Those abs have a magic of their own.

Flitwick: *Knowing look* Someone had a workout before coming here.

Going to initiate the plan now are they?

Now that Draco has 'primed the pump', yes they will be doing their little plan to be with Nimi.

Heh! I see they enjoy the sight of Prussian cake.😁

Well Ehren is a friend. A very good, intimate friend of theirs (even if they aren't going to interfere with Ehren/Draco/Niobe, they like to look).

Oh my~ mission starto!

Yep, plus breaking out the Welsh endearments for each other....

Oh yes ~. Blaise is certainly....paying very close attention to this.

Blaise is getting a lot more than he intended and quite an eyeful of 'Carrow secrets' indeed.

And so the spider has been unknowingly caught in his own web.

Yep. He's seeing what his enemies want for him to see.

The Spirits Of May (XIV)

Divination Classroom, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Thursday Afternoon, 14th May 2015

'As full of spirit as the month of May, and as gorgeous as the sun in Midsummer..' -- William Shakespeare, Henry the Fourth Part 1, Act IV scene i

'The difference between hearsay and prophecy is often one of sequence. Hearsay often turns out to have been prophecy.' -- Hubert H. Humphrey

Albus Dumbledore climbed the ladder to the trapdoor in the ceiling of the tower with spryness that belied his age. He reached the top and looked around the room he had climbed into while he called out. "Sybill? Sybill?! I got your message and came as soon as I could!"

Finally, he spotted an unmoving heap of messy hair, scarves and robes sitting in an armchair staring fixedly at a crystal ball. Albus hurried over, and took her feverish hand. He spoke gently and soothingly to her as he squeezed it. "I'm here, Sybill, I'm here...."

Sybill Trelawney's eyes suddenly rolled back in her head and she stiffened up as if hit with a Paralysis Hex.

Her jaws mechanically opened and she croaked out words in an eldritch contralto voice that was not her own.

"Bydd merched gefeilliaid llygaid emrallt cyfrinach y Tylwyth Teg yn cael eu datgelu gan y pry cop bradwrus. Os na chĆ¢nt eu hanfon allan o ffau'r ddraig gysglyd i warchod ac arwain tywysog di-goron o rosynnau coch a gwyn, bydd trychineb yn digwydd pan fydd y cytundeb a dynnwyd yn cael ei dorri. Byddwch yn ofalus o ganlyniadau eich gweithredoedd, Brifathro, a gweithredwch yn ddoeth pan gĆ¢nt eu dwyn ger eich bron i'w cosbi, oherwydd mae ganddynt ran i'w chwarae yn adnewyddu cysylltiadau'r tir gyda'u gwaed gwyryfol a dywalltwyd...."

Dumbledore frowned and muttered to himself as Sybill suddenly slumped as if she was a puppet with her strings cut. "I'm pretty sure that's an old dialect of Welsh...." Then he focused on the shaking woman in the chair. A fast wave of his wand summoned a bottle of sherry and a goblet. "Here, drink this Sybill. Small sips please."

His friend blinked her eyes behind her massive glasses and focused on him. "Albus! I was crystal-gazing when I suddenly received a presentiment that you were needed here. The...." She swallowed and spoke in a small, quiet voice. "The Inner Eye opened again for me?"

Dumbledore nodded solemnly while he answered in a compassionate voice. "It did indeed, in Welsh this time. Medieval Welsh, I think. It certainly sounded like my memory of Sir Nicholas cursing in his native tongue after he was refused entrance to the Headless Hunt on grounds of an insufficient decapitation."

Sybill took a deep swig of sherry, then spoke quietly and sadly in a voice burdened by an enormous intangible weight. "I don't know a word of Welsh, Albus. Sorry."

Dumbledore shook his head with a wry smile of his own. "I just know enough to know that I don't know enough Welsh to make head nor tail of this one. With your permission, I'll be taking one of your spare crystal balls to store this prophecy in."

Sybill pointed at the tables where the students sat while placing a possessive hand over the crystal ball on the table in front of her. "Grab one of those for the Ministry. Not Nostradamus here, it's my favourite."

"Of course not, Sybill." Dumbledore agreed as he picked a different crystal ball out, then tapped his forehead with his wand to summon forth the memory of the prophecy for storage. "Can you do me a favour, though?"

Sybill refilled her glass from the bottle of sherry while he secured the prophecy in the crystal ball. "What is it?"

"Delay notifying the Unspeakables that you have given yet another True Prophecy until I can speak to someone about this one and get a translation from the Welsh. The political situation inside the Ministry is... delicate... now that the Statute has collapsed and the Muggles are starting to take over matters." Albus Dumbledore asked his friend very gently and then reassured her. "It will only be a few days at most."

Sybill nodded slowly and replied in a tired voice. "I can do that much for you at least without violating my Seer's Oath. You plan to speak to Nearly Headless Nick about what the Inner Eye revealed to translate it then?"

Dumbledore paused then shook his head. "Nicholas isn't my first choice for that, Sybill. His heart is in the right place but he has a rather unguarded tongue and death hasn't improved that. No, I have a different person in mind, and I should let her know to get over to Hogwarts as soon as she can. Expecto Patronum!" Once his phoenix Patronus formed in front of him, Albus stared it in the eyes and spoke. "I need you to fly to Harriett with the following message for her...."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pratibha's Haven, 9th Floor, LIbrary of Secrets, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

'The sure way to be cheated is to think one's self more cunning than others.' -- FranƧois de La Rochefoucauld

While the Patronus took flight to speak to the shipgirl of one of the King's Great Ships and a certain Spider shaman voyeuristically observed the twin emerald eyed Welsh witches that it spoke of, yet another piece of the events in motion arrived at her destination on the Ninth Floor of the Library of Secrets.

Amala looked up from her latest book as Ehren's avatar entered the sanctum where the four Assistant Librarians lived and rumbled out: "I see that you have returned from patrol early, my chela." Then the tiger-headed rakshashi sniffed the air and her whiskers twitched. "No, this is another aspect of your spirit... the primary one I believe. What brings you here unexpectedly?"

Ehren shrugged while she began to clean ichor off her dagger body. "Two things, honestly. First off, is Pratibha around? I found something that might just be of extreme relevance to her exile."

A slender hand emerged from the steam wafting from the room's hot tub, gestured regally to summon her sari, then the rest of Pratibha emerged from the steam once she dressed herself. "I'm here, what is it Ehren?"

Ehren pulled out a Victorian-era diary from her book-bag. "I think I may have identified where the artifact you were looking for is... or at least was a century and a half ago."

Pratibha's reptilian pupils widened massively, then shrank to slits as she hastily slithered out of the tub to reach Ehren. "What did you find!?" She demanded once she reached the blonde.

Ehren handed over the diary to the naga. "This belonged to Ishmael Carrow and he made mention of an Indian artifact that the then-head of the Parkinson family, one Pluto Parkinson, owned. The passage with it mentioned is bookmarked."

Pratibha opened the diary and read the marked passage with her forked tongue flickering out from her lips in an ophidian hunting instinct. Meanwhile, Amala had closed her own book and hurried to read the diary over her friend's shoulder while her own tiger's tail lashed furiously.

The Rakshashi got to the end of the passage first and rumbled. "It fits together well with what we already knew. Even to the ruby chips that we recovered that imply one of Ravana's Eyes was pried from the veena and cut as a gemstone to remotely access its power. Where is this Pluto Parkinson now so we can interrogate him?"

Ehren shook her head with a sigh. "He was arrested for Necromancy and using his magic to seduce and rape a succession of well-born young witches. He died in Azkaban around 1900, I believe. According to what I dug up on him from the Carrows' library and then Professor Binns, this was a major scandal that damaged the Parkinson family's reputation and standing for a generation or two before Percival Parkinson took over. Percival stabilized things for them -- somewhat -- thanks to deeds of heroism in the First World War... that crippled him for life, admittedly. Or at least that's what Professor Binns told my avatar when I asked him about the Parkinsons. Niobe has the other diaries and the like on board that I pieced together that much from, I'll send her here to unload them so you can maybe spot anything that we missed."

Pratibha hissed out triumphantly. "So they may still have the Veena in their possession. Since it's hidden someplace on their property we can swoop in and recover it... and the ring as well.."

Amala chuffed out thoughtfully while she placed a quelling hand on Pratibha's shoulder. "Or they may have sold or traded it it to get the resources that they needed to survive the downfall of Pluto. We have recent spoor of our quarry, but do not assume that it runs in a straight path through the jungle. Thank you, chela, this is very valuable information as a starting point for our inquiries."

Pratibha tapped a finger against her lips. "A good point, Amala! We need to get access to the Parkinson's library and business papers if such exist. Especially since if we reveal ourselves to Ravana he will take steps to continue his freedom."

Ehren shrugged with a frown. "Pansy Parkinson seems to have access to some of her ancestor's knowledge, communing with his ghost perhaps, or a spell-book or the like. She's dabbling in necromancy anyway. But I'm the last person who could get access to what she knows. Draco would stand better chances to seduce it out of her."

"Still, this is a starting point for our hunt to prosper." Pratibha hugged Ehren with her left-side arms. "This information is invaluable and we -- I -- am in your debt. How may I help you?"

Ehren smirked smugly as she returned the hug. "I'll need to run back upstairs soon to rendezvous with Draco, but I have a message for my other avatar down here if you could pass it along to me. 'Blaise Zabini has summoned more of his spider spirits to bug my friends. Harry Potter asked me to ensure that they don't follow him all the way down to spy on him during his next Library of Secrets trip, so I'll need to ward off the stairs from Eighth Floor to Ninth Floor so they get stalled there.' This needs to be done in the next day or two before he makes his move to sucker Zabini."

Pratibha smiled and spoke. "We shall, of course, assist you when you do this, and help him once he arrives for his expedition." The naga tapped the diary with a fingernail. "It's the least that we can do for a true friend and ally such as yourself."

As they walked out of one of the castle, Natsumi tilted her head as she looked towards their destination, which was a large, flat field with four stone towers and a stone wall, "So, that is the dueling field, Harry-Chan?"

With a slow nod, Harry hummed, "Hai, that's the dueling field, Natsumi-Chan, it's a pretty old part of Hogwarts honestly."

Eyebrow raised at that, Hamakaze turned to look at him, "It is, Harry-Chan?"

Very slowly, the teenage wizard nodded with a small smile, "Hai." Gesturing at the field, Harry continued, "What you need to remember, Hamakaze-Chan, is that Hogwarts has, since its construction, been pretty much the center of the local area. That meant that things like tournaments besides the Triwizard happened on her grounds. So, you would need a place to function for such tournaments. "

Realization crossing her expression, Shinano nodded, "So, the dueling field was where that happened?"

Grin appearing on his face, Harry gave her a nod, "Got it in one, Shinano-Chan. It was originally constructed for tournaments to be held on and continually upgraded over the years." Pointing at the towers, he continued, "Those towers were added during the Tudor years for viewing the tourneys and such from above. After the Statute of Secrecy, the field was mostly used for dueling competitions when the weather was nice out… as well as more unofficial duels."

Cocking an eyebrow, Natsumi looked towards him in interest, "Unofficial duels?"

Very slowly, the wizard gave a small nod, "Hai, remember how Malfoy challenged me to a duel in my First Year?"

Nodding, the Kitsune frowned at that, "Hai, I remember you telling me about it."

With a nod, Harry motioned towards the field, "Well, that sort of thing has happened relatively often, and sometimes they don't want an official duel as such can come with rules." Pausing for a moment, he shook his head, "According to my parents diaries? More than a few duels happened that were unsanctioned and got relatively nasty. Mum, my birth one, apparently had a few duels out here that ended pretty dirtily."

Just considering that, Natsumi slowly nodded, "I suppose that actually does make some sense…"

Then, the green-eyed fourteen-year-old pointed at the walls and such, "There's also spells and the like to help keep any dangerous spells and such inside. Like with Hogwarts, they've been added to over the centuries by people, not just the Headmasters and Headmistresses, but dueling teachers and the like. So, it is probably the safest place to actually be when watching the exhibition matches."

Ren had a small smile on her face as she continued to walk alongside them, "That is a good thing then, Harry-Kun. Considering things, that means that I don't need to concentrate as much on those watching to make sure that they do not get hurt."

Upon reaching the dueling grounds, the group split apart with Harry and Natsumi both giving Ren a hug, but no more as people were watching before she bounded over the stone fence where some people were watching and entering the dueling ground. Entering the door to the tower, which had Gryffindor flags flying from it, they walked up the staircase. When they poked their heads through the doors, they could see that said area was mostly open with large, open windows where various people were gathered to look out.

Spotting some familiar faces, the teens grinned and walked over with the green-eyed boy waving, "Seamus! Dean! Neville! Ron! Hermione! Lily!"

Greeting him alongside the others, Neville grinned a bit as he clapped Harry on the shoulder, "Was wondering when you would show up, Mate."

Eyebrow slowly raising, Harry gave him a knowing look, "You should and look about as excited as I am to see the matches."

A grin tugging at her lips, Lily leaned towards him, "You're not exactly wrong, Harry, Neville is extremely excited to see this."

With a shrug, the Longbottom Heir laughed a bit as he shook his head, "Can you really blame me all that much? From what I know, this Musashi is a master at the sword, and Ren is one at martial arts and such. Not to mention we get to see Flitwick fighting and Gran always talked about him doing so." His grin then widened a little bit, "And considering what we saw the other day with… I think her name was Tokunotakai and Sae?" Getting nods from Harry, Neville continued, "Well, that whet the appetite."

Quirking an eyebrow, Harry's voice became rather dry, "Don't let either Musashi-San or Ren-Sensei hear you call them 'Masters', Nev. Both of them will deny such as they see such a title as a goal to reach for, one that they have not yet reached and will never truly reach."

Intrigued look on his face, Neville hummed a bit, "Really?"

Very slowly, the green-eyed Gryffindor nodded as he leaned forward, watching as the three combatants went through stretches and warm ups, "Really. Both Ren-Sensei and Musashi-San see true mastery as an impossible goal, though one to continually reach for. For to reach such a state means that they will have nothing more to learn… and there is always something new to learn."

For several moments, Neville did not comment, merely rubbing his chin some before nodding, "That… is an interesting way to look at it, Harry." Then, he turned a thoughtful look onto his fellow Heir, "Musashi… isn't that the name of that Japanese warrior that you talked about?"

Lips twitching, Harry nodded, "Miyamoto Musashi… he is considered one of the finest, if not the finest, swordsman to ever walk Japan. Most of his life was spent fighting across Japan, first in the final battles that heralded the end of the Warring States Era, and later doing duels as well as fighting various monsters to protect the average person. When he died, he had himself helped up, tightening his belt with his Wakizashi placed into it. Then, seating himself with one knee vertically raised, with his sword in his left hand and his cane in his right, he passed from the world."

Blinking rapidly, Dean's eyebrows shot up, "Okay… that is a pretty damn badass way to die."

A laugh escaping from him, the Japanese raised British boy nodded, "Believe me, it certainly was." Then, he nodded towards where Musashi went through the motions of drawing herself and sheathing over and over, "Musashi-San there is in fact the spirit of his swords, a Daisho. A pairing of Wakizashi and Katana forged by the legendary Masamune school of sword making."

Murmuring softly, Neville focused in on her, "Interesting…"

Seamus leaned forward some with a slight frown on his face, "Feel bad about Ren though… I mean, don't get me wrong, she's one heck of a fit bird… but, compared to what we saw the only day? What could she do without a wand with her fists."

Unknown to him, for a brief moment, Harry had a flash of anger before he calmed it down, "Seamus? Remember how I fought that Each-uisge underwater? Who exactly do you think taught me how to do so?" Eyebrow very slowly raising, he then continued, "She's someone who literally beat Abyssals to death using her hands and feet. She doesn't need swords or wands."

Jaw dropping, Lavender who had wandered close spoke up, "Wait, wait… she beat an Abyssal to death?! How?!"

Grin tugging at his lips, the green-eyed teen noted how a number of the Gryffindors were listening in, "Ren-Sensei has trained her body and is extremely skilled at making use of Qi."

Confused, Seamus looked at him, "Uh… Qi?"

With a slow nod, Harry gestured towards the grounds, "It is kind of like… life energy, similar to magic but both magicals and non-magicals can use it. One who is skilled in using Qi can boost their strength and speed to super human levels, make their skin and bones as hard as iron, and so on. They can even use their Qi to, heh, bend the elements."

Rapidly blinking some, Parvati raised her eyebrows, "Okay… that is impressive and I hope that we can see it."

If anything, that made the grin on the Potter Heir's lips widen, "Oh, I am actually relatively sure that you'll be able to see it considering things." Then, he watched as down below, almost as if she could feel his gaze on her (and knowing her, she could), Ren pulled one leg in close against her chest before straightening it with the tips of her toes pointing towards the sky. Following that by switching and doing the same thing with the other foot, she then bent back, her spine arching as she went to touch one of her toes, 'Dammit, Ren-Chan! If not for the fact that we are hiding our relationship, I'd be right down there!'

Beside him, Natsumi was in much the same boat as she shook her head a little bit, '… Stupid, sexy, foxy Sensei…'

Very much wanting to distract himself, Harry glanced around (even as every stretch caused his gaze to go back to Ren), he soon blinked as he noted a group of young women off to the side.

Most of them were Japanese, though there was one or two who looked like they were likely half-Japanese. It wasn't the fact that they were also rather tall for Japanese girls, the youngest also being the shortest and being just a few inches short of six feet tall. A number of them could actually rival Shinano in height as a matter of fact.

And it wasn't the fact that it was obvious for most of them that they exercised a lot, what with their toned legs and arms on display. Some of them had more the physique of a runner, built for speed and endurance. Others looked like they spent a lot of time lifting or doing other forms of hard work. No… that was not what had caught Harry's attention…

Rather, it was due to the fact that on their heads were a pair of horse ears and a horse tail swished behind them .

Blinking slowly as he took them in, Harry raised an eyebrow, "Huh… didn't expect to see Uma Musume here. Wonder why?"

Utterly confused, even as she glanced at the girls in question, Lavender raised an eyebrow, "Uma… Musume? Is that what they are?"

Parvati nodded a bit, "We were wondering about that, thought maybe they were from Saint Brendan's?"

Only shaking his head, the green-eyed teen chuckled, "No, they're from Japan. In fact, they're a type of Yokai. As for the name, it translates as 'Horse-Daughter' or 'Horse-Girl'."

Looking one of the Uma Musume up and down, Dean snorted, "Well, they definitely got the girl part down."

Deciding to just roll her eyes at that, Lily then became thoughtful, "If I may ask… is there a story around them?" When they looked at her, she motioned with her hand, "It… feels like they have two spirits…"

Now lost, Ron frowned a little bit, "… Two spirits?"

Arms crossed, Urakaze nodded a little bit, "Ya wouldn' be wrong abou' tha'."

Seeing the confusion, Harry shook his head as he decided to explain a little bit, "See, in Japan, you have an all female clan of Shamans and spiritualists who specialize in allowing for them to be possessed by spirits in order to get information, like divination. Due to… some factors, one group of them became the Uma Musume." He motioned a little bit towards the group of Uma Musume, "They're all female and, until their fifteenth or sixteenth birthdays, look like any other girl. Then, on their birthday, they begin to channel the spirit of a horse, sharing their body with it, and transforming into a Uma Musume."

Very much weirded out, Seamus looked at him, "Uh… no offense, but… what the bloody hell? How the hell did that happen?"

With a shrug, the green-eyed teen shook his head, "Stuff."

Frown on her face, Hermione turned towards him, "Does it come with any benefits to them? I mean, besides obviously hearing." When they looked at her, she blushed a bit and motioned towards her ears, "Considering that they have horse ears…"

Nodding slowly, Harry smiled a little bit, "As a matter of fact? Yes, there is benefits to them." Motioning with one hand, he hummed a little bit, "For one thing, they become much stronger, having all the strength of a horse. They can also run as fast as a horse, combined with human endurance. From what I have heard, those who decide to go into races often have their personal trainers on motorcycles or brooms beside them in order to keep up with their speed."

Confused, Dean wiggled a finger in his ears with an odd look on his face, "Wait, wait… races? What?"

Very much amused at the looks that he was getting, the Japanese-raised Gryffindor nodded with a grin, "Dess! Apparently, some of them bonded with the spirit of a race horse and feel themselves driven to run and race others. So, in Magical Japan, they have races involving them where the Uma Musume race against one another for the top spots." He then gave a small shrug and shook his head, "Pretty cool to see really."

It went without saying that got him stares from the non-Japanese there before Natsumi pulled out the planner and scanned through it. Then, she nodded and pointed at one spot, "Oh! Here we go! Apparently as part of the exhibition, the Japanese Ministry is going to hold a race with them in Hogsmeade. The winner of the various races will be getting a special, Hogwarts Cup."

Leaning over to look over her shoulder, Harry slowly nodded at that, "Makes sense, and no wonder there's a number of them, though that's being held this Saturday and Sunday." Then, he pointed at another bit, "Oh! And they're holding concerts as well at the end of the races!"

Disbelief on her face, Lavender slowly blinked as she stared, "I… concerts? What?"

Grin on his face, the green-eyed wizard nodded, "Dess! A number of them are also Idols and like to put on concerts after the end of their races as well! Naka-Nee has signed some on her label as a matter of fact?"

Pinching her nose, Hermione took a deep breath before slowly releasing it, "Because of course she actually did that."

Quickly shaking his head, Dean glanced over, already some of his thoughts going to if he could possibly get some of them to pose for him to draw, "Any other, uh, benefits?"

With a small shrug, Harry shook his head, "Just the usual extended lifespan Yokai get. Some of them are around eighty years old, but look no older than their twenties, thirties at worst."

Slowly, Lavender blinked at that before looking over at the Uma Musume, "… That's… kind of tempting as a matter of fact. I mean… considering things." Then, she shook her head a bit and looked behind her, "Though, the tail is likely a bit of a pain considering things. I mean, my hair takes me long enough as it is, I do not want to know how long it would take to get tails of that length into good condition."

Natsumi frowned a little bit as she muttered under her breath, "Oh, trust me, you have absolutely no idea how long tails take…"

Unnoticed by her, some of those there heard her, including Lavender herself, but simply kept it to themselves. More than a few had some guesses about her, but they were not going to say anything until they had to. After all, they were all friends and fellow Gryffindors.

All of a sudden, Hamakaze snapped her fingers some, "Wait… I recognize one of them!"

Eyebrow raised, Harry glanced at the Uma Musume before humming a little bit, "One of the racers?"

Much to his surprise, however, the silver-haired Destroyer shook her head, "No, not from the races." Then, Hamakaze pointed at one of the ones who looked half-Japanese, and were more muscled than the others, "Right there, that is Nakahara Emiri. She actually is part of MYFYS as a matter of fact."

Interested, Harry glanced between Hamakaze and the Uma Musume in question, "She's a member of MYFYS?"

Very slowly, Hamakaze nodded with a slight smile on her face, "Hai, though not in their mixed martial arts group." Seeing the interest increase, she shook her head, "Rather, she is part of their 'Historical Fighting Matches'."

Rubbing his chin, Neville raised an eyebrow at that with intrigue in his eyes, "Historical fighting matches? What are those, Hamakaze?"

Very briefly glancing at Harry and blushing, the Destroyer shook her head, "Basically, it is when you have Yokai, and even some wizards or witches, put on historical armor and make use of historical weapons before they have matches against one another. Originally, it was a way to allow for weapon spirits such as Musashi-San to participate in MYFYS, but it expanded since then." Then, Hamakaze nodded towards Emiri, "Emiri-San has been involved since the late 1990s, and specializes in European historical combat."

After a minute or two, she pulled up a picture from the MYFYS website which showed Emiri in full plate armor with a shield that had a Coat of Arms on it with one hand and a heavy mace in the other.

Eyes wide, Ron looked at Hamakaze in disbelief, "Wouldn't that be dangerous?"

However, Hamakaze shook her head, "Not really, apparently the armor is specially enchanted to help protect those making use of it and also keep track of 'Damage' taken, with the match being called when it reaches a certain amount. Alongside Medi-Wizards and Medi-Witches, it is pretty safe for those involved."

Frown on her face, Hermione pulled out her own phone and took a picture before humming, "I wonder what Coat of Arms she is using? I… don't recognize them so they must be an old one… though there's a baton sinister on them, odd..."

Looking through the program planner, Harry then shook his head, "Well, next week she is apparently due to be involved in some exhibition matches, so you could ask her then when she is in armor…"

That got him nods before their attention was grabbed as Jin stepped out onto the field as the announcer of the first match…

Generally means either they themselves are illegitimate (born to parents that weren't married at the time) or their ancestors were, and Nakahara is an actual Japanese family, so presumably she's illegitimate.

"Wheeee! Time to play with Ehren-chan!" (Fixed, thanks for the catches.)

Ah, so Harry and Draco are coordinating their plans against Blaise. This. This is good. By warding the stairs between the Eighth and Ninth Floors against Blaise's spirits, he and the Maddened Cow will be unable to spy on Harry's party, forcing them to go in blind.

Hehehe. **inscrutable author sounds**

(In this case, Harry knows that Ehren has an avatar down on 9th Floor and letting the spider see that there's nothing on 10th-11th would ruin his plan, so he's recruited Ehren to 'coincidentally' ward the stairs to not allow spirits to travel down them. Ehren, of course, is totally in on Draco's plans to use Blaise as a patsy as well....)
As they walked out of one of the castle, Natsumi tilted her head as she looked towards their destination, which was a large, flat field with four stone towers and a stone wall, "So, that is the dueling field, Harry-Chan?"

Oh that's a VERY nice piece of history here, honestly! I love it!

Pointing at the towers, he continued, "Those towers were added during the Tudor years for viewing the tourneys and such from above.

Draco Malfoy: "I was a spoiled prat and a fool back then, I fear. Not my finest hour, I fear."

Nodding, the Kitsune frowned at that, "Hai, I remember you telling me about it."

With a nod, Harry motioned towards the field, "Well, that sort of thing has happened relatively often, and sometimes they don't want an official duel as such can come with rules." I love this a lot, HL. **makes notes for potential Team Ehren plotbunny**

Well here we go,. I figure that the other towers are for the other Houses to spectate.

Ahh, the Viking is going to Viking. (Lily's also really excited too, but she's hiding it better, I suspect).

Bread Knifes are going to Butter Knife, I see! Love how Toku and Sae are sparring now.

Quirking an eyebrow, Harry's voice became rather dry, "Don't let either Musashi-San or Ren-Sense hear you call them 'Masters', Nev. Both of them will deny such as they see such a title as a goal to reach for, one that they have not yet reached and will never truly reach."

Toku, Ren, and Musashi: "Well said, Potter-san! You have internalized the First Lesson of Mastery, so continue to walk the Way."

Then, he turned a thoughtful look onto his fellow Heir, "Musashi… isn't that the name of that Japanese warrior that you talked about?"

Lips twitching, Harry nodded, "Miyamoto Musashi… he is considered one of the finest, if not the finest, swordsman to ever walk Japan. Blinking rapidly, Dean's eyebrows shot up, "Okay… that is a pretty damn badass way to die."

A laugh escaping from him, the Japanese raised British boy nodded, "Believe me, it certainly was."

Mad respect there and a nice historical touch and callback.

Then, he nodded towards where Musashi went through the motions of drawing herself and sheathing over and over, "Musashi-San there is in fact the spirit of his swords, a Daisho. A pairing of Wakizashi and Katana forged by the legendary Masamune school of sword making."

Murmuring softly, Neville focused in on her, "Interesting…"

Every Bread Knife Ever: "Oh dear. Musashi-san is looking to give someone serious bruises...."

Not seen, Musashi is probably chewing a grass stalk like a hick peasant (which is a sign that she's ultra locked-in for this spar).

Seamus leaned forward some with a slight frown on his face, "Feel bad about Ren though… I mean, don't get me wrong, she's one heck of a fit bird… but, compared to what we saw the only day? What could she do without a wand with her fists."

Unknown to him, for a brief moment, Harry had a flash of anger before he calmed it down,

Good touch with Harry getting angry on Ren's behalf, BTW.

"Seamus? Remember how I fought that Each-uisge underwater? Who exactly do you think taught me how to do so?" Eyebrow very slowly raising, he then continued, "She's someone who literally beat Abyssals to death using her hands and feet. She doesn't need swords or wands."

Jaw dropping, Lavender who had wandered close spoke up, "Wait, wait… she beat an Abyssal to death?! How?!"

Harry & Natsumi: "Because Ren-chan's awesome like that!"

If anything, that made the grin on the Potter Heir's lips widen, "Oh, I am actually relatively sure that you'll be able to see it considering things."

Ehren: **sneezes** "I wonder if they are talking about my secret studies both of kundalini control and also Big sister Ying's school of Magical Chinese martial arts that, yes, uses Qi for some of its higher-level techniques."

(Really looking forward to you writing this fight, BTW!)

Then, he watched as down below, almost as if she could feel his gaze on her (and knowing her, she could), Ren pulled one leg in close against her chest before straightening it with the tips of her toes pointing towards the sky. Beside him, Natsumi was in much the same boat as she shook her head a little bit, '… Stupid, sexy, foxy Sensei…'

Ok, I totally laughed here, honestly! Totally makes sense.

Also, that's a trick that Ehren can do to cause Draco to sweat (thanks to her steel being both very strong and quite flexible -- Estelle too).

Very much wanting to distract himself, Harry glanced around (even as every stretch caused his gaze to go back to Ren), he soon blinked as he noted a group of young women off to the side.

Deciding to just roll her eyes at that,

Nice explanation, and I love how Dean is living dangerously (and Lily calls him on it a bit).

Lily then became thoughtful, "If I may ask… is there a story around them?" When they looked at her, she motioned with her hand, "It… feels like they have two spirits…"

'Some factors'. Nice job eliding around Kamo being Kamo there, HP.

(good explanation here!)

Good question here by Hermione, honestly.

From what I have heard, those who decide to go into races often have their personal trainers on motorcycles or brooms beside them in order to keep up their speed."

Yeah,t hat's a perfect blend because early modern humans evolved as endurance hunters who could, for example, chase a deer until the deer collapsed from exhaustion.

Very very cool. I think once she finds out, Ehren is going to tell Aunt Zamarad to catch one of their races....

**knowing laughter** Oh yes, it's going to be quite a race, I suspect.....

...and a concert!

(Claire: "Concert with horses!")

Naka's going to Naka, I see. Ehren's definitely dragging Claire off to this one, I think!

Quickly shaking his head, Dean glanced over, already some of his thoughts going to if he could possibly get some of them to pose for him to draw, "Any other, uh, benefits?"

Draco: "You and me both, Dean." (does preliminary sketches for a possible painting)

**Dies laughing** Nice touch with Natsumi slipping and the other Gryffindors keeping quiet here.

Well there's a reason Harry's Knight Errant here knows this particular Uma Musume....

**Laughs knowingly** She's very good at historical fighting too....

Rather interesting, wouldn't you say....

After a minute or two, she pulled up a picture from the MYFYS website which showed Emiri in full plate armor with a shield that had a Coat of Arms on it with one hand and a heavy mace in the other.

Very late Medieval plate in fact, rather like this. She's also probably got to be good considering that she's had a few decades of practice

Ok that;'s very very clever and makes a lot of sense. Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if Ehren and Johnston dabbled in it down the road a bit.

Frown on her face, Hermione pulled out her own phone and took a picture before humming, "I wonder what Coat of Arms she is using? I… don't recognize them so they must be an old one… though there's a baton sinister on them, odd..."

**grins** It's a historical coat of arms, yes.

Looking through the program planner, Harry then shook his head, "Well, next week she is apparently due to be involved in some exhibition matches, so you could ask her then when she is in armor…"

That got him nods before their attention was grabbed as Jin stepped out onto the field as the announcer of the first match…

Oh, fun times ahead, honestly!

And LOL for THE DARK ONE calling this match.

Superb snip, Harry, and love it! Looking forward to what happens next....

The Spirits Of May (XIV)

Sybill Trelawney's eyes suddenly rolled back in her head and she stiffened up as if hit with a Paralysis Hex.
Sybils rolling the prophecy Gacha again. Let's see if she got something good.
Delay notifying the Unspeakables that you have given yet another True Prophecy until I can speak to someone about this one and get a translation from the Welsh. T
Yeah that's for the best. Get a decent translator first.
The political situation inside the Ministry is... delicate... now that the Statute has collapsed and the Muggles are starting to take over matters."
And that's putting it lightly
Once his phoenix Patronus formed in front of him, Albus stared it in the eyes and spoke. "I need you to fly to Harriett with the following message for her...."
That image links to Hololives Noelle.
Oh.. they're the ones who will do the translating?
No, this is another aspect of your spirit... the primary one I
She's got lots to tell you.

She's definitely going to be pleased and frustrated with this find.
Pratibha hissed out triumphantly. "So they may still have the Veena in their possession. Since it's hidden someplace on their property we can swoop in and recover it... and the ring as well.."
Said ring is with Pansy and it's certainly not going to be easy recovering it.
Pratibha smiled and spoke. "We shall, of course, assist you when you do this, and help him once he arrives for his expedition." The naga tapped the diary with a fingernail. "It's the least that we can do for a true friend and ally such as yourself."
Ehren secured their assistance with regards to Blaise.
According to my parents diaries? More than a few duels happened that were unsanctioned and got relatively nasty. Mum, my birth one, apparently had a few duels out here that ended pretty dirtily."
That.... doesn't surprise me at all about Lily. Bet her sister ships will get a kick out of that.
A grin tugging at her lips, Lily leaned towards him, "You're not exactly wrong, Harry, Neville is extremely excited to see this."
It's the Norse blood in him I tell you.
Getting nods from Harry, Neville continued, "Well, that whet the appetite."
Definitely the Norse blood.:D
Blinking rapidly, Dean's eyebrows shot up, "Okay… that is a pretty damn badass way to die."
Hell yeah it is. I wonder how he'd react to the warrior monk Benkeis death

How?!"
She's a badass that's how. And boggles have been dropped!
Then, he watched as down below, almost as if she could feel his gaze on her (and knowing her, she could), Ren pulled one leg in close against her chest before straightening it with the tips of her toes pointing towards the sky.

Heh! Poor Natsumi and Harry. Stupid, sexy, foxy Ren Sensei indeed.šŸ˜‚
Rather, it was due to the fact that on their heads were a pair of horse ears and a horse tail swished behind them .

Blinking slowly as he took them in, Harry raised an eyebrow, "Huh… didn't expect to see Uma Musume here. Wonder why?"
Neither did I Harry. Let's see what they're here for.
Looking one of the Uma Musume up and down, Dean snorted, "Well, they definitely got the girl part down."
Well they are quite pretty.
They're all female and, until their fifteenth or sixteenth birthdays, look like any other girl. Then, on their birthday, they begin to channel the spirit of a horse, sharing their body with it, and transforming into a Uma Musume."
Nice bit of lore there.
Very much weirded out, Seamus looked at him, "Uh… no offense, but… what the bloody hell? How the hell did that happen?"
Magic. Ain't got to explain shit.
Gets a ton of spectators as well.

It's Naka Hermione. You should have seen that coming a mile away.
With a small shrug, Harry shook his head, "Just the usual extended lifespan Yokai get. Some of them are around eighty years old, but look no older than their twenties, thirties at worst."
They got a pretty good deal out of it.
Thank you for the exposition Hamakaze chan.
Frown on her face, Hermione pulled out her own phone and took a picture before humming, "I wonder what Coat of Arms she is using? I… don't recognize them so they must be an old one… though there's a baton sinister on them, odd..."

That got him nods before their attention was grabbed as Jin stepped out onto the field as the announcer of the first match…
That's so going to be a minor plot point isn't it? And THE DARK ONE graciously takes announcing duties here.

Generally means either they themselves are illegitimate (born to parents that weren't married at the time) or their ancestors were, and Nakahara is an actual Japanese family, so presumably she's illegitimate.

Heh, heh, heh. **inscrutable author noises**

Sybils rolling the prophecy Gacha again. Let's see if she got something good.

It comes and goes, and I figured that this would make for a nice hook to further the plot.

Yeah that's for the best. Get a decent translator first.

Yeah, especially since this might be very important. Ya know, with Voldemort out there....

And that's putting it lightly

Well Dumbledore doesn't exactly trust the Unspeakables, but unfortunately the prophecy's supposed to go to them....
That image links to Hololives Noelle.
That's because SJ decided to have her look like Danchou Joelle.

Additionally, one of the U-boats would like to say "Ahoy!"

Yep, Harriett/the shipgirl of Henry Grace a Dieu looks like Shirogane Noelle. Has the same girlish voice too.

Oh.. they're the ones who will do the translating?

**Inscrutable author noises**

She's got lots to tell you.

Well yes, the big thing is identifying where the Eye of Ravana was in 1857.

She's definitely going to be pleased and frustrated with this find.

Yeah. At least they now know the Parkinsons had something to do with it.

Said ring is with Pansy and it's certainly not going to be easy recovering it.

Yeah, but Ehren's had to lay low around Pansy and can;t exactly check her jewelry box.

Ehren secured their assistance with regards to Blaise.

Well yes, which will be helpful for her and Harry.

Mumei and Gura are graduating one after another?

That's a big oof for HoloEN.
Unfortunately so yes. Her announcement stream is still ongoing if it hasn't already ended. She was under a lot of stress it seems.

Now excuse me, I need to rewatch HoloAdvents April Fools rendition of Ai Wo Torimodose to get my mind off this sad news. 😭

Some of the Acacia Class might want to take a trip as well.

Did we ever get a Word of Author on the issue that got brought up when the LoS first showed up? The one about what the official stance of HM Government would be on a dangerous location like that being open to the students?

Natsumi defintely likes the abs as much as she likes peanut butter.

And just wait a few years when she combines the two!

Heh! I see they enjoy the sight of Prussian cake.😁
Well Ehren is a friend. A very good, intimate friend of theirs (even if they aren't going to interfere with Ehren/Draco/Niobe, they like to look).

Carrow Twins: Chocolate cake is not the only kind Germans make extremely well~~~.

Well, that sort of thing has happened relatively often, and sometimes they don't want an official duel as such can come with rules
More than a few duels happened that were unsanctioned and got relatively nasty.

Just look at Aaron Burr and Sasaki Kojiro for how much duels can suck.
