@Daemon Hunter How about having Onix Dig Jack Out, then someone Protect if there is a cavein, and we recall before Teleporting out through Slowbro?

Otherwise, wear the rock down through acid or some kind of Move and then pull him out, if there won't be accidental collateral damage?

1) I'd assume that Violet will have Protect on standby in case of a cave-in. Teleport afterwards is more situational on if Onix can recover from it or not. But it'll be something that'd occur automatically.

2) Wearing down the rock via those kind of moves can maybe be done, but it runs the risks of hurting Jack rather notably due to the accidental collateral. If you have a move in mind for it, you can try it out though.

Yeah, a Teleport really might be the best option we have if it was better practiced. Without that,

[X] Go Get Help - A rather safe option that'd take time, you could teleport out with Slowbro and call in the League. You would have to sprint through Victory Road to make it to the Indigo Plateau however.

Slow and steady win the race I suppose.

We really need to get Slowbros Teleport up to snuff. It is an extremely useful ability and is great for further rescue and exploration.

[x] Use Slowbro to Teleport Jack - Slowbro has recently learned Teleport although his accuracy has room for improvement. He may accidentally teleport the two of you to another part of the cave though.

Worst case: if we end up in another part of the cave we can't find our way out of, we can just teleport again all the way out, thus taking a similar amount of time to the get help option. Best case, slowbro will pull it off, or we'll easily find our way back to the main path.

If we assume we aren't gonna run into any hazards that take us out before we can notice (which seems reasonable), when put this way this does seem like the best option?

Edit: And it looks like Slowbro managed it.

Oh wow, that DC wasnt bad as I worried it could be. 1/4 chance of failure, and I imagine unless it was a crit fail it'd be a setback we could mitigate, eh, I can live with that.

Kanto Week 52 Part 2 - Rescue Complete
[x] Use Slowbro to Teleport Jack - Slowbro has recently learned Teleport although his accuracy has room for improvement. He may accidentally teleport the two of you to another part of the cave though.

"How … how confident are you in your Teleport?" Violet whispered to Slowbro, an idea coming to her.

The Hermit Crab Pokemon thought about it for a moment, then nodded. He could manage it.

"Slowbro can teleport," Violet said quickly, forcing the words out of her throat.

Tetsuya turned to her and grinned, clearly happy that they had an idea of how to get Jack out. Jack, on the other hand, was a bit more hesitant. "Just … try not to drop me."

Violet took another look at how he was positioned, slightly embarrassed that she hadn't considered it. "Don't worry about it," Tetsuya replied, flexing his arms and posing. "I can catch you."

She may have stared a second longer than she needed, but no one noticed but her. Violet took a deep breath, refocusing on Slowbro. "Alright, focus." She directed towards him. "Imagine Jack a few feet that way. And take your time, we're not in a rush."

Slowbro closed his eyes, his brow furrowed in concentration. A faint blue glow enveloped Jack, Violet, and Slowbro, and for a moment, the air shimmered. Then, with a soft pop, the world shifted, and Violet stood a few feet from where she once was.

"Woah," Tetsuya uttered, stumbling forward as he caught the formerly trapped trainer. "See what I meant? You had nothing to worry about."

"I'm out," Jack said with a smile, immediately stretching his arms. "Thank you both so much." Turning towards Slowbro, he directed the next statement to the Hermit Crab Pokemon. "I owe you big."

Slowbro let out a soft "Slowbro", clearly pleased with himself.

"Good work, Slowbro," Violet said as she scratched him behind the ears. "You did great."

With that side quest dealt with, the trio started their journey back to the main part of Victory Road, where Willow waited. Once there, they shared what had transpired with the energetic trainer before continuing on their way. Temporarily a group of 4, they spent a while swapping stories, learning that Jack was a well-off trainer from Kalos who had specialized in Eevolutions. Much of what he mentioned working on went well over Violet's head, but the general gist of it was on the possibility of Fighting or Poison type Eevolutions.

The next day passed without incident, apart from continuous battles. However, after a rather tiring journey through the tunnel, they emerged.

The 52nd Week. 1 Locked. Pick 1.

Expert Trainer Actions
[] Create Prepared Battleplans - Tetsuya's impromptu stunts were unreliable but powerful. But with more experience under your belt, who knows what is possible?
[] Enter a Pokemon Contest - Both Dragonite and Blissey would enjoy a Pokemon Contest. It'd also help them develop their more unique attributes. At the cost of your nerves.
[] Teach Umbreon how to command a Pokemon Battle - Umbreon's tactical skills surpass most trainers. Improving those skills via practical experience in commanding battles would do wonders.
[] Bring Magnezone to the Next Level - Magnezone is nearing a breakthrough in terms of elemental attacks. You just need to give them a little push …
[] Bring Dragonite to the Next Level - Dragonite learned a good bit in his battle with Willow. You just need to give him a push to bring him to the next level.
[] Train Combination Moves - You've seen videos of incredible combinations, trying to plan some out would be useful for team battles.

Pokemon Actions
[] Spend time with your Pokemon - It's been a while since you simply enjoyed the company of your Pokemon. It'd be good to spend time with them outside of battle or training.
[] Train with your Pokemon - While it may be early, you just had a rather interesting battle with Willow from which your Pokemon could learn.
[] Teach your Pokemon TMs and HMs - You did recover a very large stash of TMs and HMs recently. While you have taught them a few moves, there's more for them to learn.
[] Train with Willow - While it would be nontraditional to train with your rival, both of you have unique skill sets that could complement each other. She would like to get your perspective on training this time around.

Battling Actions

[] Run a Few Scrimmages - Willow and Tetsuya are more than willing to spend time battling. While you're not sure how much you could gain immediately, it'd be useful in the long term.
[] Challenge an Experienced Trainer - There are at least a few experienced trainers around your level of skill that'd be worth fighting.
[] Seek out a Powerful Trainer - You recognize several trainers who fought in the Indigo Plateau last year. It'd be fun to test yourself.
[] Battle Lance - Champion Lance is currently holding a series of exhibition matches to drum up interest for the Pokemon League tournament. It may be fun to join them.

Exploration Actions

[] See the Sights - The Indigo Plateau is a storied location in Kanto. Looking around at the various attractions would be worthwhile. Perhaps you can even find the Elite 4.

Traveling Actions

[X] Head to the Plateau - You spent the last week traveling through Victory Road to get to the Plateau.

Social Actions (For socials, it's assumed you keep up a basic level of contact through text, choosing a social means I write it up)

[] Call Your Parents - Your parents appreciated your visit and would like to continue talking with you. They're flying out to the Plateau to watch you in person.
[] Find Old Contacts - Flynn and Crystal are both preparing for the Pokemon League in earnest. It may be fun to see what has changed.

Which Ace do we want with special training, considering we are out of time?

Or do we just want to spend time with our Pokémon?

I think competing in a Competition could also be worthwhile, both for the morale for our pokemon and because it'll help train *us* for keeping cool in front of huge crowds during the conference!

Getting those two breakthroughs definitely comes first though.

[X] Bring Dragonite to the Next Level - Dragonite learned a good bit in his battle with Willow. You just need to give him a push to bring him to the next level.
I just really want our starter to be boosted out in case we run out of time. would feel weird if Magnezone ended up our ace instead.

I want to explore the Indigo Plateau, feel like its a place less explored in Pokemon.

I think I will go with our Starter here over Magnezone

It would be very nice to spend time with our team before such a momentous event.

I felt like Magnezone needed it more, but yeah our Ace should remain our Ace
