[X] Extended Travel - Choosing to travel at an accelerated pace would let you get to the start of victory road this week as opposed to next week, which would allow you to do more at the Plateau itself.
Good battle maybe we should avoid doing that again if it brings negative comparison to Kanto-Johto war and we're not musclehead's minion.
That's quite a scandal to kill an 8 badge trainer's career.

Our training would probably show better results at the Plateau instead of on the road. also less chances for random Rocket mishaps
Mainly due to them confusing you with one of Surge's minions. At the moment Surge and his subordinates are over there dealing with a few things and the style of going after the trainer is pretty rare with Surge being the one person people know that follows that route.
On that note, the vote is now closed. Looks like extended travel it is.

While Violet would have enjoyed a few days to rest, the very next day the journey to the Indigo Plateau began. While a few trainers were allowed to simply fly to the plateau directly, the Kanto region had a rather developed tradition of trainers taking the route through Victory Road themselves. A daunting cave system with a number of dangerous Pokemon, Violet was looking forward to exploring it herself.
Willow was also happy to head out, doubly so when Violet agreed to an extended travel period. Rather than stopping midway for a few days to rest, the two trainers would be walking for 7 days straight, only stopping in Celadon City and Viridian City due to their placement on the route. The other few days would be spent in campsites or forests with the former being more common due to how well-traveled the routes were. However, there were just a few detours they would be making just to keep the trip exciting.
The first two days of travel were spent threading a path between Gardenia Town and Route 16. As Willow chattered with Violet adding her own thoughts here and there, the two trainers simply headed to a few sites that other trainers had recommended to Willow. Most of these places were generally interesting aspects of the forest, with one making for a rather nice overlook of Gardenia Town itself. However, the two girls found themselves growing bored quickly.
The night in Celadon City was more pleasant, with the two of them staying with Violet's parents. During the dinner, Willow clearly tried to allow Violet to dominate the conversation. A task that the shy girl was not up to. After telling her parents in person about what she had done in the past few weeks (with both of them expressing worry about her seeking out poachers), she tried to redirect the conversation to Willow's gym battle with Sabrina. It was a transparent change of topic, but thankfully everyone present was interested in that topic as well.
Her parents did say that they would be flying to the Indigo Plateau to watch the two of them battle. Something that Violet looked forward to.
The next day was spent traveling towards Viridian City, where the two girls came across an interesting sight. "...was that on the map?" Violet asked, crouching besides a cave entrance.
Willow shuffled through a series of maps, electronic and physical before shaking her head. "No, there aren't any major caves this side of Celadon. There aren't any underground springs either."
"We should mark it," Violet said simply before taking out a flashlight to illuminate the interior.
"You wanna explore it?" Willow said, leaning forward with a smirk.
"...maybe," Violet whispered, torn between the novelty of exploring a new cave system and ensuring she made it to the Indigo Plateau on time. "How … long could we stay?"
"Six hours if we keep this pace," Willow replied immediately. "A day if we go at my pace though."
"...I'm not so sure anymore," Violet stated honestly, a tad worried about how tiring a four-day trip at Willow's pace would be. Especially after a caving adventure.
[] Skip the Cave - You want to make sure that you make it to the Indigo Plateau with time to spare. While a few-hour adventure may be fun, it could easily drag out if the cave is more hazardous than you expect.
[] A Few-Hour Trip - Taking a few hours to explore the cave wouldn't be that dangerous due to your expertise in the matter. That being said, there's always the possibility that something delays you. But that'd just mean you'd have to rush the rest of the trip.
[] A Full Day - Taking an entire day would allow you to explore most of the cave provided it's not that expansive. However, you'd be committed to a difficult trip afterwards and there's always the possibility of a delay.

Only voting for the latter at the assumption that going at Willow's pace is safe, if tiring given their combined skills? We do not want a delay because our schedule is jam-packed with Training, Training and More Training for the competition.

To clarify, going at Willow's pace would be very tiring to Violet but doesn't risk anything beyond exhaustion and possibly needing to take an extra break next turn to recover.

Plot hooks are a lie perpetuated by QMs to distract from the glory of the grind.

Quite frankly we're too close to the League to divert attention I think. Besides, since our chapters have been labelled 'Kanto Week X' I'm assuming there are plans to go beyond Kanto after the League?

"We should probably keep moving," Violet said, her voice firm despite her disappointment. "I don't want any delays."
Willow's smile faded, replaced by a look of understanding that hid disappointment. "Yeah…you're right, the League awaits. Besides," she added with a wink, "we can always come back after I become champion."
Violet rolled her eyes in amusement. "I wish I had your confidence."
With a final glance at the cave, they turned their backs on the unknown and resumed their trek toward Viridian City. As planned, the path wasn't well traveled, closer to an overgrown trail rather than a paved road.
The rest of the trip was more sedate with the two girls spending the time hiking and camping. Their day in Viridian City was a nice reprieve from the dirt and grime, providing both of them access to a warm meal and a hot shower. Then, sooner than they had expected, they found themselves at the entrance of Victory Road.
A set of arches that led into a cave, it was managed by a set of League trainers who were carefully screening trainers and preventing them from entry. Besides that, a small town surrounded the entrance, the presence of high-level trainers ensuring that there was always a market for them. To most, Victory Road referred to the tunnel but a few more knowledgeable individuals knew about the town with the same name.
Violet was tempted to stay for a few days and take a look at the surrounding area. Perhaps battle one of the trainers present. It did help that Tetsuya had been delayed during his trip, having gotten sidetracked rescuing a stolen Pidgeot, which had delayed him by two full days.
At the same time, they would either meet here or at the Plateau. Did it matter where exactly?
The 51st Week. 1 Locked. Pick 1.
Expert Trainer Actions
[] Create Prepared Battleplans - Tetsuya's impromptu stunts were unreliable but powerful. But with more experience under your belt, who knows what is possible?
[] Enter a Pokemon Contest - Both Dragonite and Blissey would enjoy a Pokemon Contest. It'd also help them develop their more unique attributes. At the cost of your nerves.
[] Teach Umbreon how to Command a Pokemon Battle - Umbreon's tactical skills surpass most trainers. Improving those skills via practical experience in commanding battles would do wonders.
[] Bring Magnezone to the Next Level - Magnezone is nearing a breakthrough in terms of elemental attacks. You just need to give them a little push …
[] Bring Dragonite to the Next Level - Dragonite learned a good bit in his battle with Willow. You just need to give him a push to bring him to the next level.
[] Train Combination Moves - You've seen videos of incredible combinations, trying to plan some out would be useful for team battles.
Pokemon Actions
[] Spend time with your Pokemon - It's been a while since you simply enjoyed the company of your Pokemon. It'd be good to spend time with them outside of battle or training.
[] Train with your Pokemon - While it may be early, you did just have a rather interesting battle with Willow that your Pokemon could learn from.
[] Teach your Pokemon TMs and HMs - You did recover a very large stash of TMs and HMs recently. While you have taught them a few moves, there's more for them to learn.
[] Buy Items - Now that you've earned eight badges, you should start looking into buying items for your Pokemon.
[] Train with Willow - While it would be nontraditional to train with your rival, both of you have unique skill sets that could complement each other. She would like to get your perspective on training this time around.
Battling Actions
[] Challenge an Experienced Trainer - There are at least a few experienced trainers around your level of skill that'd be worth fighting.
[] Seek out a Powerful Trainer - You recognize several trainers who fought in the Indigo Plateau last year. It'd be fun to test yourself.
[] Join a Multi-Battle - One trainer from Sinnoh is offering to face two trainers in a two vs one. It may be fun to face them.
Exploration Actions
[] See the Sights Inside the City - The town of Victory Road is an interesting place with a few unique sites. It'd likely be worth checking them out.
[] See the Sights Outside the City - With a set of known ruins in the area, albeit requiring a mountain hike, it would make for an interesting excursion.
[] Join a Pokemon Ranger - Rather unsurprisingly, the Pokemon League is asking for trainers to join Pokemon Rangers for various excursions. It'd be an interesting experience at least.
Traveling Actions
[X] Head to the Plateau - No matter what happens, you'll be departing by the middle of this week to make sure you arrive on time.
[] Extended Travel - Choosing to travel at an accelerated pace would let you get to the Indigo Plateau at the end of this week. It would mean Tetsuya would meet you at the Plateau rather than here.
Social Actions (For socials, it's assumed you keep up a basic level of contact through text, choosing a social means I write it up)
[] Call Your Parents - Your parents appreciated your visit and would like to continue talking with you.
[] Find Old Contacts - Flynn and Crystal are both milling around the town in preparation for their journey through Victory Road. It may be fun to see what they have been up to.

Items are probably more important than TMs right now to be honest.

God I wish we could pick two options

While I want to hit Extended Travel, I also really want to see Flynn and Crystal to see how they are
