    Mainly due to them confusing you with one of Surge's minions. At the moment Surge and his subordinates are over there dealing with a few things and the style of going after the trainer is pretty rare with Surge being the one person people know that follows that route.

    • [X] Skip the Cave - You want to make sure that you make it to the Indigo Plateau with time to spare. While a few-hour adventure may be fun, it could easily drag out if the cave is more hazardous than you expect.
      [X] A Few-Hour Trip - Taking a few hours to explore the cave wouldn't be that dangerous due to your expertise in the matter. That being said, there's always the possibility that something delays you. But that'd just mean you'd have to rush the rest of the trip.
      [x] A Full Day - Taking an entire day would allow you to explore most of the cave provided it's not that expansive. However, you'd be committed to a difficult trip afterwards and there's always the possibility of a delay.

      [X] Extended Travel - Choosing to travel at an accelerated pace would let you get to the Indigo Plateau at the end of this week. It would mean Tetsuya would meet you at the Plateau rather than here.
      [X] Find Old Contacts - Flynn and Crystal are both milling around the town in preparation for their journey through Victory Road. It may be fun to see what they have been up to.
      [X] Teach Umbreon how to Command a Pokemon Battle - Umbreon's tactical skills surpass most trainers. Improving those skills via practical experience in commanding battles would do wonders.

    • [x] Use Slowbro to Teleport Jack - Slowbro has recently learned Teleport although his accuracy has room for improvement. He may accidentally teleport the two of you to another part of the cave though.
      [X] Go Get Help - A rather safe option that'd take time, you could teleport out with Slowbro and call in the League. You would have to sprint through Victory Road to make it to the Indigo Plateau however.

      [X] See the Sights - The Indigo Plateau is a storied location in Kanto. Looking around at the various attractions would be worthwhile. Perhaps you can even find the Elite 4.
      [X] Spend time with your Pokemon - It's been a while since you simply enjoyed the company of your Pokemon. It'd be good to spend time with them outside of battle or training.
      [X] Bring Magnezone to the Next Level - Magnezone is nearing a breakthrough in terms of elemental attacks. You just need to give them a little push
      [X] Create Prepared Battleplans - Tetsuya's impromptu stunts were unreliable but powerful. But with more experience under your belt, who knows what is possible?
      [x] Enter a Pokemon Contest - Both Dragonite and Blissey would enjoy a Pokemon Contest. It'd also help them develop their more unique attributes. At the cost of your nerves.

    • Alright, looks like Sonic Boom it is. As well as using Dragonite, Magnezone, and Slowbro in the group stage.

    As has been mentioned already, the Indigo Plateau is by no means a cakewalk. Realistically I would say that your best possible result would be getting into the quarterfinals.
