First up, they're asking Jinx, so let's be Jinx, part of it is in having the adults bond over the kids causing headaches as they said.

If they wanted a purebred piltie noble to wine and dine then they could pick anyone else, even Caitlyn, they specifically asked for Jinx. So Jinx it is.

Hextech because well, it's what the trade delegation is about and what they're likely interested in.

Toss in a concert for entertainment and we're set!

>"yes yes,money money,very fancy, im right or im right?"-jinx

"Hello fellow Pilities, Piltie fellows. Shall we talk about how much we love money and hate the poor?

OMG, LightCannon?? Please! Please! Please! ...If this is Lux

Daughter of a high-ranking noble family from Demacia who's around the same age as Jinx? And when the quest opening said I'd be pondering on ways I could work Lux in at some point? It could be anyone, really...

Would this have happened regardless of choice. With the choices just influencing how and when?

Pretty much. It's one of those plot threads I'd been thinking of working in for a while, but a Jinx that wasn't being a good student and playing political games might be meeting the character under very different circumstances (or I could've decided it just didn't fit and dropped the idea). Plus at least one aspect of the current plot setup was something I came up with in the middle of writing up the update.

So basically the SV standard of "I have a vague outline of plot ideas and directions, but keep it flexible depending on Quest choices."

At this point the goal of the quest for most people just seems to be make "Jinx" as little like Jinx and as much like Jayce/loyal Piltie as possible.

Like there was absolutely nothing in the time skip vote that was even remotely Jinx. At All.

No real weapons (a glorified taser), no explosions, no violence, no wild actions, no fun, no spontaneity, no creativity.

It was literally "Plan: Be a Good Little Piltie" - like Good Student AND acting like a Kiramman (i.e. Piltie Noble) AND No Vigilantism AND Infrastructure Work AND Health/Safety Work

It wasn't even a mix - like Good Student by day but wild violently lethal vigilante by night, helping with public works but ALSO making big fucking booms, staying with the Kiramman's but NOT aping them etc

If options were on a Piltover-Zaun behaviour scale they would ALL be full on the Piltover end.

Even the ONE option chosen to help Zaun was IN A PILTOVER WAY - building a Water Treatment Plan IN PILTOVER that is owned and provides profits to Piltover. i.e. the kind of thing Jayce/Mel would do to throw Viktor a bone for helping the "Undercity" - yes it DOES help Zaun but in a very "Noblesse Oblige" way. The Piltover Council owns it, controls it, runs it, and staffs it.

It's a Piltover operation ultimately reinforcing their control and superiority over the Undercity (like, they LITERALLY now control access to clean water - Undercity scum start getting uppity? Well they can just turn off the plant, Piltover would still have clean water after all).

Like the options to help Zaun were in the Zaun way - harassing abusive Enforcers, taking down Silco's goons, fucking up Chembaron plans etc
Or
In the Piltover way - start a business that is ultimately owned by and profits the Piltover Council

And you guys did the second.

This isn't about "effectiveness" or "morality" or anything like that - purely about BEHAVIOUR - what would a Zaunite do? vs what would a Piltie do? - and every single decision was full Piltover.

Not every. We got Hanging with the firelights when we could have spent our time hanging out with Seraphine more, or finding ways to help her, either through changes to the law or more directly helping with her magic.

I would like to point out that Jinx was 10-11 at the beginning of the timeskip, I don't feel bad al all for keeping a literal child out of harms way, choosing not to develop lethal weapons or going full Punisher...

At least to me it, has nothing to do with choosing Piltover over Zaun...

I uh. Have reservations about Lux showing up. I really dislike the way a lot of fandom views their dynamic.

But I'll see how it goes in quest first.

people are voting based on:

>whats better for zaun
>whats better for jinx/powder

sorry but curbstomping enforcers and chembarons doesnt really advance either,is a "handle the symptoms" aproach
yeah people dont vote for the zaun way because is usually self destructive for jinx

when we are offered ways that dont push jinx to become a mass murdering psycho,we do vote them tho (like keeping contact with the firelights)

the path to go full revolutionary and mass bomb piltover doesnt align with what most voters, dont be a sore loser about it

The Zaunites that can now wash in clean water and not die of poisoning from tainted water probably care a lot more about alleviating those day to day concerns than any greater political posturing. The plant was entirely funded by Piltover and is either a non-profit providing a public service funded by tariffs/state industries and donations, or being paid for by Piltover residents as a tax/service fee. Piltover does not possess the means of taxing Zaun so this plant provides only benefits to Zaun with no downsides whatsoever.

As for turning it off to punish Zaun that would be all or nothing, the plant filters the Pilt so that Piltover residents don't have to live next to a toxic river it then continues down providing water to Zaun. Turning off the plant would result in the Pilt turning toxic again, and likely also cause issues for Piltover as their previous small scale filtration methods will have been recycled as obsolete or mothballed since they are no longer necessary. In a few years after the old filters are likely left to rot or are recycled Piltover won't even be able to turn off the state-run plants without poisoning their own citizens.
