It Belongs to a Museum

I am happy that my exhibition plan has been adopted by the other plans. I will continue to think up exhibitions in the future.

One idea I had is that we could make a series of Exhibitions about how various groups fight, both on the high seas and on land. Basically something that acts as a lure to draw in the more military minded folks who want to learn about their enemies.

[X] Plan Sufficiently Maximised Martial Mien - Lizardmen Learning Variant

Well, people seem pretty set, but I really like the idea of grabbing norscan visitors, so I'll show support.

On a different note, I wonder if that vampire we hired might remember any particularly notable shipwrecks Harkon caused that we might be able to go dredge up from the sea floor? Would that be an investigate action?

I only hope we can stop potential visitors being attacked. Maybe a system of tickets and escorts? Maybe a ferry/cruise?

That's already a thing—ships that have an arrangement with the Vampire Coast are able to arrange their flags in a code that promises them safe passage. It wouldn't be too hard to expand that to visitors to the island.

And at the docks, amongst the sleek hulls and black flags of the Arch Grand Commodore's fleet can be seen fatter, slower hulls, made safe by some subtlety in the way they hang their flags, many owing allegiance to names some would recognize and some owing allegiance to names everyone would.

Personally, I want all the inadvisable relics we can get. I mean, we're a museum in the Warhammer setting! Hubris is our bosses problem, not ours! And even he won't mind very much:
By Luthor Harkon's rules? Yes. If the Slann haven't been able to get their shinies back despite him having set up his treehouse in their front yard, the mummies probably don't have great odds either.

Consequences shmonsequences let's get those relics! Paht deserves them! We deserve them!

You make a habit of dropping in until you get one of them - Haakon the Bloody, as it turns out - and have him sketch out symbols of significance to him. Some are Nehekharan, others are Norscan, and still others you don't recognize at all, but you copy them onto the death mask with a shrug. What's the worst it's going to do, cause the dead to walk?

I wonder what symbols Harkon put on the mask? Particularly the ones Paht doesn't recognise. I'm trying to think what language would be significant to Haakon the Bloody, and all I can come up with is Chaos symbols. It's too early for him to care about the Lizardmen, so it's probably something from when he was a reaver or a warlock, and he would have probably come into contact with Chaos both times in those roles.

It could just be Norscan that Paht doesn't recognize, or from the Harkoni.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with obtaining a genuine Relic Priest to sit on our newly acquired palanquin.

Maybe we could convince them to explain the history and significance of the artifacts too. imagine it, an exhibit that guides itself.

That's probably not going to happen, but I can dream, can't I?
I personally have a image clear in my mind of Pahtsekhen using the techniques of the Mortuary Cult to help sustain and commune with the Relic Priest's spirit.

After all, Paht would know if the spirit of the mage is aware and tied to the world or not, and if it was, a skilled mage they would likely make for an attentive student. Why wouldn't we teach the Relic Priest the secrets of the Mortuary cult?

And, really, can you think of a better choice to be the Museum's resident Expert on Lizardmen and their magic than a Slann Relic Priest who we've goaded into sticking around?

Either the relic priest escapes/is rescued by their compatriots, bringing ruin and havoc in the wake of their exit, or they end up as a student and contributor in their own right. Or both! I really see no downsides here.

Relic Priests can't talk.

Possibly Paht could figure out a way to commuicate with them, but I find it unlikely they'll be interested in talking to him.

Well they can use magic can't they? as long as they have any means of interacting with the world they could communicate through code. Might have to have a translator, but that would be worth it.

Sadly yes, it is just a dream for that very same reason. (although for some reason it made me think of the hilarious idea of a lizardman joining as a tour guide in an attempt to correctly teach people The Great Plan, a real 'you were doing it wrong' thing.)

Uncle Paht: What do you think about my Museum?

Slann Relic Priest: *slighty moves a finger, and "his answer" appears as "giant inscription" on the side of nearby mountain*

That's an interesting point about the Everchosen, actually—we're in a position to put together a authoritative list of who exactly the 13 Everchosen were—after all, academics can only agree on a handful of them.

But if we can grab relics from all over the world, we might be able to put together just exactly which champion was an Everchosen, and their eventual fate.

Of course, that's a long term project and doesn't gel with the main purpose of the museum, but it would be a cool side exhibit.
