I don't think Ekko will get involved. He already has a job with Benzo, doesn't have any real connection to Jayce especially when he's trying to limit children's involvement. He also has no reason to join.

not involved in the lab part to begin with, just studying/hanging out with powder for now during downtime what happens in the future is to be seen

Figured studying would open more doors in how influential Jinx is in Hextech development. Maybe even improve future creations. Don't know how Ekko got the knowledge to create hoverboards but if he can do that then Powder with books should be building an Ironman suit.

For great sibling justice!

Colour me pleasently surprised.

[X][Downtime]: Use her new resources to finish the Mouser Bombs

Giving Powder Access to Explosives open up new terrifying and awesome options.

Simple, no risk, and sets us up with more resources to spend in the next chapter.

Problem is we're always going to have that no risk option. The problem is the opportunity cost of what we're throwing away by clinging to it. These are like skill trees. The cap stone project could be worth it. We need to find a balance or take risks.

The only mechanics we've actually been presented with are stability and the issues.

We have not been averse to taking risks. We were willing to go to zero willpower knowing something might come up that we'd want to be able to spend it on but couldn't. (Although IMO we have sometimes not found the best balance of taking the right risks).

Building stability (and willpower) to the point where we can spend them on things is not nothing. The cost of not getting that stability and willpower is the increased likelihood to fail at all our rolls going forward.

The key word is mechanics not narrative. If we're so fixated on those mechanics we take every opportunity to build willpower instead of advancing socials then we're going to miss chances.

I was referring to these arc end votes when I speak of taking no chances. The chances we took were the in arc choices that seem to be less of a time skip and has less weight. To make sure I have to reread but the times we took risk was either due to not having resources or having a safe path as to not have to use will.

Given the drawback on failing the roll for most of the options is NOT gaining willpower or stability, that means that success with them likely can impart such AND potentially lessen a condition. However the surefire success isn't bad and does come with one of Jinx's weapons of fixation being further developed.

I admit my initially pick was the Hang out with the crew option, partially because Ekko is my favorite character, and also because I wouldn't mind seeing Mylo and Claggor getting more expansion, they could stay alive this timeline and they certainly have plenty of room to develop if they don't die in a triumphant terrible explosion. But no real interest there outside it seems. I don't find myself drawn towards the bugging Caitlyn / Vi we've done a lot in Piltover I don't like choosing the one option that actively puts us over there again, Zaun is home, Zaun is where we should spend our Downtime.

Vander / Sevika option is interesting in general but there is a lot of baggage there and ton of ways such could go, but I do think Sevika would stand up for us against Silco even if she is betraying Vander in this timeline for Silco which isn't nothing especially if we show more direct interest in the matter.

Studying is interesting, it is the only option where we can't gain Stability / Willpower, and I appreciate that Ekko could get included in that choice even if its not major connection there. To lose the Stability / Willpower combo though the success is likely a hefty one I'd wager.

Yup, downtime is generally when Powder recovers stability and willpower, since it's times when she's doing less stressful things. Any of the roll options are less certain willpower gains, but you get to do things like build up relationships or learn new things. Solidifying a friendship with Ekko could pay off huge dividends, considering how things played out in S2 E9.

(Which reminds me, I don't have Ekko on Powder's friends list. Better fix that.)

[X][Downtime]: Hang out with Vi, Mylor, Claggor, and Ekko
[X][Downtime]: Ask Vander and Sevika About the Revolution
[X][Downtime]: Focus on Studying
[X][Willpower] Use Zero

I lean most towards the Hang Out, it is 4 social links, and its only -5, it is who we in general have the most long term connections too, and Mylo / Claggor are characters that further expansion on interest me since there is a ton of room for how they could be developed. We still get to be with our sister and Ekko is probably the one of the group we have the heathiest relationship with so thats a bonus.

The Vander / Sevika Revolution is more difficult at -6, but I do think it would be interesting, though it could be a more dangerous option, but I do think Sevika boosts are useful for surviving the Silco Encounter, even though we don't quite know where Sevika will hitch her loyalties to in this timeline.

Studying Option is here because I have to expect that something must be really good if its at the potential cost of Willpower / Stability.

Mylo's been awful enough in this quest that I don't really want to see more of him unless he fixes his issues and I'm kinda expecting him to die just because after what we've seen of him I'm not really sure where his character goes from here?

I'd be okay with hanging out with Vi, Claggor, and Ekko.

Mylo has his own list of issues that have led to him being a bit of a bully to Powder with the whole Jinx thing. After all, he's a traumatized teenage orphan, too.

I get that but fixing his issues is something that's not our job and we'd be stupendously I'll-equipped to doing, and in the meantime he really seems like hanging around him would be both unpleasant for Powder and make her issues worse.

Avoiding our sister and two good friends, just because Mylo can be annoying is a bad reason, especially since Vi does stick up for us against Mylo.

How do you expect their relationship to get better if they don't spend time with each other? It's not our job to fix it but to allow the natural course to fix both their issues.

I'd like to say that favoring the more anti social actions repeatedly in favor of not missing out on will is itself probably a risky prospect.

At this point, we're very clearly either spending all our time working on bombs, or bugging Caitlyn and Vi. Those in favor of socialization would be wise to consolidate.

i semi agree (but here are some points i'd like to make about each path)

work on mouser bombs (might be useful in a pinch, but sounds pretty cannon )

focus on studying with ekko (not the most social interaction but baby steps and learn things)

talk with vander and sevika bout past and parents (sounds like a limited time thing)

hang with Vi, ekko, mylo, and claggor (this is most social sounds mostly cannon also )

bug vi and caitlyn (not seeing a whole lot of postive benifits here other then maybe making those two close and that could bite us later)

but i am also getting the feeling stuff is happening in the shadows due to unnamed at this point in this story.

Lets be a bit more social... I would also be happy with a study if it includes Ekko, and we have seen how A) right circumstances he becomes a respectable engineer, and B) I liked how Powder and Ekko interacted in the alt Arcane timeline

"Natural course" took us to where we are and there hasn't been a whole lot that's happened that'd change things for the better here. Like, our big thing last update was that we formed the Hextech partnership and we might get Jayce to move his lab to Zaun. How is Mylo likely making fun of us for being a piltie-lover because we didn't want to risk stealing for Jayce end any way other than poorly right now?

If we get stability & willpower under our feet then we can safely do that while potentially refreshing some of the spent willpower. But we're not there yet.

This quest has approval voting, so there's no need for anyone to switch off a preferred social option in favor of bugging Cait and Vi, if they'd prefer that to the guaranteed stability/willpower, they can simply add that as a second vote.

Personally my ranked preferences are something like
1) Ask about the revolution / Interact with Vander while he's alive
2) +1 stability/willpower
3) Study
4) Hang out with the crew
5) Bug Cait and Vi

So I'm only going to switch off mouser bombs if there's a chance revolution wins instead.

Bratty sister bonding is still bonding, and the odds are we cause a disturbance and are made to leave the park for Caitlyn's home. At least that's my guess.

I mean come on - nobody is going to ask Caitlyn Kiramman or anyone she choose to associate with to leave a park.

Some of these options I feel can narratively can lead to lessening of their associated problems.

That's the worst case scenario and will likely be determined by a roll and/or our decision if like all the other branch points.

It's possible to improve their relationship given time, decisions and rolls. If your saying Milo won't change then what's the point of socials then? Characters won't change and relationships won't change then we might as well just chase mechanics unless it's a new character.
