I don't like the other vote idea of pushing Marcie on this, as that's putting her right into the situation of getting used for parts herself. Sure, she's invisible, but that's not an absolute power.

I mean, her acting as backup for Xander at the demon bar isn't absolutely safe either. I've been wondering about any demons that can see in light ranges that humans can't.
Time and proximity were the key things for me that separates the similar degree of danger in these events. Marcie would have to operate alone, for longer periods of time in this case. That's very unlike working with Xander during much shorter periods of danger.

Wouldn't keeping an eye on Cordelia and Chris happen at the school though? That feels a lot safer than being at the bar even with Xander there.

That's a good question, and what you have to keep in mind is why Marcie is invisible. She is invisible because she was treated that way, looked over. There is no different light spectrum to see her in, because absorbing that from the Hell mouth basically made her into a walking "do not see" beacon. It's why she can't just carry something for people to look at, because it infects what she holds.

Frankenstein Flames New
You decided to play up being intuitive on these things and drop hints about the Frankenstein girl instead of dealing with it directly. You were young again, why not focus on some of the fun things about life? It'd be good to get the group things to do together that weren't all about fighting evil too. The group would be healthier. Plus it was always more fun to do things with others.

You suggested to the group that you work on designing a game together. You just needed to decide what kind of game it was, and do some art and stuff. It'd be fun! Your friends were surprised by the suggestion and immediately questioned why you had come up with such a crazy idea. You felt like you were tripping over yourself trying to explain that you thought it'd be something fun you could all do together and contribute do. Thankfully Willow ended up backing you up for it, and everyone agreed to give it a go. You likely should have suggested something simpler, but everyone was at least trying.

You had forgotten that Mrs Calendar and Giles had ended up flirting together and started dating during the entire thing with the Frankenstein resurrection. That was something you could joke with everyone with at least. It was so weird seeing Giles flirt. You might know he's a person, but your brain still labeled him as your teacher, and that was just so weird.

Buffy seemed more interested in goofing off than anything with the game, so you had to quietly scratch that off as something for her to use to relax. At least when you did drop hints Cordelia got safe, and she was very happy to not have her head almost removed. It felt terrible watching Chris' brother go up in flames. His resurrection should have never happened, he had been suffering, but his soul had been returned to his corpse. He was alive. You could only hope he found a type of peace when he died once more.

Parent Teacher Night was coming up, so Buffy was extra stressing. You actually felt fairly relaxed. Both you and Marcie didn't have to worry about this, as neither of you had involved parents. Marcie was actually doing pretty well with her home schooling, she wasn't in danger of being left behind. The big thing was this would mark Spike and Drusilla's arrival into Sunnydale. You wondered if Drusilla would See you.

[X]Prepare to fight Spike on Parent Teacher Night

I have no idea how things went in canon, but if there's a possibility that Drusilla can see Xander, then we should be prepared for things to go off-script.

[x]Focus on school stuff

I'm going to buffer the general trend here. I don't think meeting Drusilla is a good idea. The easiest way to throw a wrench into Xander's plans is her springing on the group that Xander has special knowledge. Xander hiding that and Drusilla blowing it out into the open will hurt trust. Rather than risking blowing cover, I'd let this situation play out normally.

I'm actually worried that Spike is going to seek Xander out. If Druscilla doesn't acting the same way as in canon, then Parent Teacher Night might not go the same way as canon. That's why I'm voting to prepare for fighting Spike, not because I think it's a good idea for Xander to try to fight Spike.

I'd be happy with a vote to prepare for fighting in general, especially as driven by the frankenstein thing just recently, and focusing that on vampires due to their frequency. However, I interpreted the vote option as implicitly 'Prepare (and intend) to fight Spike on Parent Teacher Night'.

Since Xander is worried about Druscilla, we could do a write-in about preparing just in case.

[X] While it would be a bad idea to seek Spike out, Druscilla is a Seer who might be able to See you. Improving your fighting skills would be a good idea in case things go off-script from canon. It might also help with having your friends take you seriously, given how taken aback everyone was by the game idea.

This works for me

[ ]Try and find something else for the group to do

I'm concerned that this option almost suggests to not even go to the PTM (Parent Teacher Meeting) I do think we shouldn't just drop the hobby thing, Very surprised making a game is how we decided to start instead of just an art thing, but I can hold off on immediately trying again. (Wish to hasten Oz's introduction intensifies)

Of the list of Vampires Spike really isn't one I'd want our Xander to fight, neither is a restored Druscilla, and fighting weakened Druscilla would also be a bad thing as a dusted Druscilla would mean a non-tethered and thus more vicious Spike. I feel Buffy is more likely to be Druscilla's intended target to point Spike at, but we are a complicating factor. Spike has a thing with Slayers so it just is more likely she wants to move him to kill her probably because she sorta already knows he will become infatuated with her if she lives, but you never really know. Honestly my concern with Druscilla noticing us would be more her wanting to have us turned. A bit more self defense training isn't a bad shout.

He thought about it, opened his mouth, and the idea came out. Yes it was a bad idea, he overthought it. Yes he regrets it. Unfortunately there's no magic redo button in life XD

Sight Un/Seen New
You were nervous about Drusilla's arrival. Spike loved fighting, and he certainly had no qualms about snacking on humans, but it was Drusilla that lead him to burn down an orphanage, and Angelus' words that had him hunting Slayers. It was with love that he committed the worst crimes of violence imaginable, all to make Drusilla smile. Currently she was weak, and without a proper cure drawn from Angel she would die, but even then you worried about what Drusilla might ask Spike for while here. Or what she might say. Spike was far too good at translating her visions.

So you were prepped out as anti vampire as you could be, and told Marcie that you suspected there would be a bad attack at Parent Teacher Conference. Giles was certainly willing to take such a threat seriously, but Willow and Buffy were both more interested in the mundane side of life and the worries of academia and their parents. Willow at least seemed to approve of watching you work on self defense.

The Parent Teacher Conference passed with more ease than it had in canon. Having Principle Flutey still alive and caring helped a lot. Buffy wasn't being sabotaged simply for being who she was. It wasn't fantastic, but her mother was willing to overlook things and take the olive branch since things were going smoothly with school. Spike at least didn't seem to have any undue interest in you, though whether or not that was because Drusilla hadn't Seen you or because he was more focused on fixing her up health wise you didn't know.

At least it left you to think about what to do about the Incan mummy. Should you try and stop her from ever waking in the first place? Or try to destroy her entirely, so she's no longer conscious and aware, trapped in her own corpse? Or you could try and care for her, for the brief time she would live for, even with the deaths that would come.

If the mummy will kill people, then we should probably stop that from happening. I'm thinking that we destroy the mummy, but I vaguely remember at least one story I read came up with a clever way to save her. I don't remember what that way was though. Anyone have any ideas, or should we just destroy the mummy to keep her from suffering any longer?

She really isn't evil, but she will kill anyone who does activate her. Though we could get a new scoobie if we do basically save Ampata's life and actually have the exchange student at the Summers house. Its kinda a hard event to deal with in any sense because she is a victim too.

Umm... These four sentences are the entirety of my knowledge of what this vote is about. I've no idea how this mummy got to Sunnydale, why it would be suffering, or how that suffering would cause deaths. I'm not comfortable picking from the voting options with such limited knowledge.

I mean, why not just chain or bolt the mummy down, such that it can't attack anybody, until she can come to her senses?

The mummy was a 16 year old girl that was "sacrificed" to a mountain god from the area that is modern day Peru. Her tomb has been found and as people do taken from its homeland and been made into a traveling museum display. She has been basically locked into suspended animation aware but locked in place in her display, and if the plate she is holding is broken allows her to once again move. However she is desiccated husk at this time, she can revive herself by absorbing the life force of others through kissing them.

In the OT, her plate was broken and she drained the life of the person who awakened her and placed him now desiccated and mummified back into her display. From there not fully recharged she took the place of the exchange student that was going to be staying with the Summers family, and actually hit it off with Xander. She has a minder from her community who are somewhat in charge of her continued existance and museum showcase. She eventually kills as he tries to get her to return to her original state as she begins to re-mummify, and stops herself from doing the same to Xander later because she truly likes him and believes she loves him. She may or may not discover a way to stop her degeneration but gets stopped when such seems to involve draining Willow and Xander says it would have to be him first before she could drain her life-force.

She then choose to not go through with the plan and just effectively ceases her existence. Also she is one of the few characters who actually mostly bests Buffy though more through evasiveness and planning than proper fighting.

In the story I vaguely remember, I think that the Scoobies found someone who either had tons of life force to drain or was acceptable to kill. I know that doesn't help much, and I'm now wondering if this was an alt-power story.

If we can't think of anything, then I'd suggest destroying the mummy because that feels kinder than letting her stay like that forever. I also don't feel right about letting a student die to awaken her.
